Sinbad nodded slowly, not really believing Dimitri. He had been with him too many years to notice when he was being honest. The cold tone made him frown but he knew Dimitri wasn't comfortable with talking about feelings. His attention was seized by Dimitri's next words, "I know...I wouldn't have it any other way." Sinbad said gently, his only hand moving and taking Dimitri's. "Don't blame yourself for what happened to me. I mean it Dimitri, I knew the risks going into it. Besides you're my master and I'm happy to serve you." He said honestly as he watched Dimitri rest his forehead against his chest. "I'm not broken yet, I'll always be here." Sinbad said as he studied Dimitri with a rare genuine smile. "I may only have the one hand now but I can promise you I'm still as nimble as ever." He said in a insinuating tone.

Dimitri stayed still in his spot, neither straightening back up or removing his head from Sinbad's chest. This felt... weird, somehow. Is that what humans went through daily, dealing with this so called emotion filled with so much affection for someone? He didn't say anything back this imei either, just stayed quiet as Sinbad reassured him. Feeling the pirate take his hand, the demon automatically gave the hand a gentle squeeze, as if wanting to reassure himself about something. For once in a long time, Dimitri felt like that weak, parasite fo demon he had once been, dependant on others to survive. "You don't need to promise me anything, I already own you," he mumbled, taking a step back from the other male. Turning his gaze up, their eyes met, DImitri's expression looking pretty much emotionless, but the moment he reached up and cradled the Captain's face in his hand, there was that soft look in his eyes again. "Aurora fucking owes me for this!" he then hissed, turning swiftly back around and began to walk, still holding onto Sinbad's hand as he began to pyll him along towards the Dragon lady's den.

Sinbad watched Dimitri in silence as he noticed how conflicted he was. He chose not to say anything and instead waited until Dimitri squeezed his hand. The gesture was small but it meant more then some might think, Sinbad felt his smile grow in response. "That's true." Sinbad said quietly, his eyes never leaving Dimitri's as Dimitri gently cradled his face. The feel of Dimitri's hand on his face, made Sinbad shiver just a little from the sensation. He leaned into the touch and dropped a kiss against Dimitri's palm. He made a face as Dimitri suddenly pulled away, "Oh come on, I'm sure she wouldn't want to be bothered!" He protested weakly as Dimitri pulled him along.

Dimitri managed to hide the shudder at the kiss rather well, and proceeded to ignore the pirate's protests. But, after some more quick thinking, the demon halted in his steps and sighed out in what sounded like defeat, and once again turned back around to face the other. "Fine, i'll just bother her tomorrow then," he muttered, glancing off along the harbor until his eyes landed on Sinbad's ship. well, they were close enough... he could afford to waste some more of his magical energy and teleport them both to his cabin. With that set in mind, he tightened his hold on Sinbad's hand, and with the last bit of energy remaining with him, he teleported them both inside the Captain's cabin. "Alright then... bandages and potions... where do you keep those things...." he mumbled a bit hazily to himself, stumbling a bit as he pulled away from the other in search for the necessities.

Sinbad hadn't been expecting Dimitri to teleport them both back onto his ship. He jumped as he nearly collapsed from the shock of it all, "Whoah! What the blood he-" He broke off when he saw what teleporting had cost Dimitri. "You know sometimes, you can be a bloody idiot." Sinbad said with a shake of his head as he moved to gently push Dimitri into a sitting position. "You're lucky I'm used to you, otherwise I'm afraid you might get hurt." Sinbad continued as he grabbed a medical kit from the closet and set it on the table. "As soon as I bandage all of these injuries, I am going to make you go to bed. All of this has exhausted both of us and quite frankly I'm more then a little concerned about your wellbeing." Sinbad said as he fumbled to get the medical box open. Things had been much easier when he had had two hands.

Dimitri glared up at the human as he was made to sit down, sielntly aksing himself how the tables suddenly seemed to ahve turned on him. Wasn't he suppsoe to take care of Sinbad here? It was the pirate who ahd needed help in the first place! He snorted at Sinbad's words however, rolling his eyes a bit before forcing himself bakc up to his feet. "You mean, you're lucky my crazy is rubbing off on ya, or else you would've begged me to have let you die over a century ago," he cheeckily shot back. His smirk quickly faded though as he noticed the difficulty Sinbad had without his other hand, and once again felt the rage and bloodthirst from before begining to rise within him. Forcing those needs away, Dimitri kneeled down infront of his human and wordlessly took over his task of patching him up, not leaving any room for more arguments or objectins.

Sinbad smirked over at Dimitri, glad to see that he was acting more like himself. "Oh please, I don't beg." Sinbad said in a mock horrified tone. All the teasing left him though as Dimitri moved to help him get the bandages out and started helping him. He was about to object, but wisely chose not too when he saw the look on Dimitri's face. "Thank you." He said instead, a small smile on his face at Dimitri's actions. Dimitri sometimes surprised him with how thoughtful he could be, even when he had nothing to gain from it. Of course sometimes such moments only occurred when no one else was around to witness them.

Dimitri halted his movements for a couple of seconds, but didn't turn his head up to look at the other. "No reason to thank me," he quietly mumbled back, and continued treating the male's wounds. Why... where was all these confusing feelings and thoughts suddenly coming from? Had the thought of actually losing SInbad really scared him that much? How stupid... Sinbad can't die. His body could even end up rotting and he still wouldn't die! Dimitri ha dhis soul after all... He would always have this human with him. "...do you long for death?" he suddnely asked then, all casuall and blunt, still avoding eyecontact a she stood up and moved to satnd behind the pirate instead, wordlessly starting to yank the shirt off of him so he could treat the wound there instead.

Sinbad frowned at the change of topic and sighed, "Maybe once I did...but now I have you in my life. When we first met, I was ready to die. You saved me from turning into something I'm not." He admitted, a small smile hitting him. "I don't think I ever really thanked you for that, for giving me centuries worth of good memories. You even made it possible for me to have my own ship, so now that I have your full attention thank you." Sinbad said quietly as he helped Dimitri take off his shirt. Any other time he might have made a witty remark, but Dimitri was acting unusual. "Why do you ask?" He asked quietly, making a face as Dimitri started bandaging his shoulder.

Dimitri stayed quiet, surprsingly, and only began to tending to Sinbad's shoulder instead. That's another thing the demon could never really fully understand, 'gratitude'. He didn't enjoy tlaking about feelings beacuse he 'diliked' it or anything... it just confused him, beacuse he could fully graps the true meaning behind it. He only pretended he got it, when all he truly knew was the negative emotions, and not the deeper, and warmer ones. "I only did it for my own selifsh purpose," he said then, frowning a bit to himself- Dimitri didn't know what 'kindess' really was the first time he met Sinbad. Surley, the Pirate was well aware of Dimitri's ture, seflish intentions back then? His soul had beena rare catch, something that would've kept him fed for almost a century. He still so clealry rememberd that small, broken boy he had found back then, compeltley surrounded and raised by sin, and yet his soul still held that purity. What had made the boy stand out more, howeve, was his acceptance. Aside from all those other cowards Dimitri had made a deal with before, Sinbad had simply smiled at him, and fearlessly waitied for the demon to kill him. So young, and already ready to embrace death, without any regrets. That's what had changed his mind, what made the demon decide to keep this human to himself instead. And, smehwre along the way over the centuries... He had apparently grew overly found of him too. And Sinbad knew that as well, didn't he? "...death could sometimes be a blessing," he answerd, letting his hands linger on his shoulder for a bit as he finishd with his task.

Sinbad sighed as he recalled the day when Dimitri had freed him. "All I wanted was to get out, I was ready for death. I knew the risks even as a kid, not a day passes where I regret the choice I made. Knowing what I know now, I'd make the same choice all over again. The men who owned me, they didn't care that I was only a child. All they saw was someone they could use for their own twisted pleasure. You? All you saw then was a boy who had a soul you wanted no matter the cost. I'm glad I had a soul that was worth the debt....that doesn't mean I don't wonder about certain things. I have sometimes wondered about being free, but in the end I don't think I'd want to be anywhere else." Sinbad admitted and then bit his bottom lip as he realized how much he had just said. He wasn't sure what Dimitri's reaction to his words would be.

For once, Dimitri actually felt speechless, not really knowing if he had something to add, or if he should. Staring a bit wide eyed at the back of Sinbad's head for a moment in complete silence, his hands slowly slipped down from the man's shoulders. He couldn't say ths story where news to him either but... Somehow, hearign Sinbad retelling it all sort of gave it a whole new meaning. Why? WHat is it with this human that made the demon so attached to him? And then, a chuckle escaped Dimitri's lips, shortly followed by more laughter. "Aren't you a precious little human?" he said between laughter, walking around the male until he was infront of him again, kneeling down on the floor, locking their gazes with the other. THere was soemthign warm in the demon's eyes this time, something caring and tender, and while DImitri didn't understadn the feeling welling up within him right then, he for ocne didn't mind them. "I'm a selfish creature Sinbad, born and molded by the darker nature of humans. I will keep with me for a slong as you want," he smirked, his eyes begining to glow green again as he slowly leaned upwards, their face getting close enough for their noses to brush agaisnt the other's. "Even if the day comes where you'll grow tired of me, I'd still keep you in my net." Despite the cruel sounding way one would think Dimitri was speaking in, it also sounded liek a promise, a response to what Sinbad had just said. 'I don't think I'd want to be anywhere else.' The demon wonderd then to himself, if that warm feeling welling up within him right now, is what humans called 'happiness'.
