Before Kayley could react, Lonette was running at her and pushed her to the ground. She landed on her back and just as she was about to push herself up, Lonette was straddling her waist, making it harder for her to move. At he words, Kayley frowned playfully. "Now that's just not fair, I-" Before she could finish talking, Lonette began to tickle her sides. Her body instinctively tried to curl up into a ball, her legs pulling up which caused Lonette to move forward until their bodies were only inches apart. Kayley's body erupted in giggles as her head tilted back. "Lonette, stop it! I'm so going to get you for this." Her threat seemed useless as her giggles left her lips. When Lonette's fingers moved down to her hips, Kayley's back arched as a reflex and her chest bumped into Lonette's before she managed to regain a little bit of her composure. She smirked before bucking her hips roughly, knocking Lonette's balance off for a moment and Kayley took that chance to bring her legs up and squeezed them against her opponent's sides as she used her muscles to pull herself up into a sitting position. Lonette stayed in Kayleys lap as she looked up at her opponent, giving her a mischievous look before her fingers moved across Lonette's sides, tickling her in revenge.

Lonette grinned as Kayley reacted, her body arching and bringing their bodies closer together. "Oh come on, you can fight me off." She said in a teasing low voice as Kayley struggled not to cave in. Lonette's smile widened as Kayley actually managed to get her off balance. Her body reacting as Kayley moved them so now she was all but sitting in Kayley's lap. She jerked as Kayley's fingers started ticking her bare sides, "Now that is definitely not fair." Lonette protested as she leaned against Kayley before her expression lightened just slightly. Her fingers slipped under Kayley's shirt and started ticking the bare skin there.

Kayley squealed as Lonette's fingers moved beneath her shirt, causing her to fall back into the dirt once more. Every muscle in her body tensed as she tried to contain herself. Her vest moved up more as her body squirmed until her stomach was exposed. She reached down and gripped Lonette's hands, her hands slipping in her first attempt which gave Lonette and opening. Her opponent gripped onto Kayley's wrists and pinned her arms over her head so she was completely useless. She tried to buck her hips again but she had already used that move so Lonette knew how to keep her pinned. Kayley looked up at Lonette and bit her bottom lip. "You win, I give up."

Lonette chuckled as she managed to keep Kayley pinned. "Oh really?" She asked teasingly as she took in the very tempting image that Kayley was currently presenting. Her vest had ridden up, revealing her creamy smooth skin of her stomach. Lonette's mind froze as Kayley bucked her hips again, the movement making Lonette envision much more pleasant things. Kayley was so innocent and it was another thing that Lonette secretly enjoyed about her. She had no idea just how tempting she was, or how much of a turn on that was for Lonette. Before she could stop herself, she leaned down and captured Kayley's lips with her own. The taste was so much better then what she had been expecting and she wasn't sure she could keep her hands away from her in future encounters. Lonette slowly deepened the kiss as her body pressed against Kayley's own in a very intimate way.

Kayley had expected Lonette to let her go once she gave in but the woman kept her pinned to the ground. Before she knew it, Lonette had leaned down and pushed her lips against her own, causing her eyes to widen. Her breath caught in her throat at the unexpected event and her body froze for a moment. The kiss felt different from what she had shared with Joseph. She could feel that Lonette had wanted to kiss her when Joseph had only done it for the deal, though he showed some feeling in his as well. Her fists clenched as Lonette deepened the kiss and her whole head spun. She wiggled beneath Lonette's body as she tried to free herself from the kiss after a moment, her heart racing. At some point, she managed to break the kiss and her head tilted back as she gasped from the feeling of Lonette's body rubbing against hers. It sent sparks through her but she knew she had to pull away. She couldn't bear the thought of hurting Lonette but she had to let her know she didn't feel the same way. Her body arched up into Lonette's trying to let her know that she needed to back up a little bit and when she did, Kayley looked up at her under her lashes, her face a burning red. "Lonette....what was that for?"

Lonette immediately pulled away once Kayley made it clear that she wasn't interested. "I am so sorry! I didn't mean-" She broke off when she saw the look in Kayley's eyes. She stood up and moved off to get her shirt, "I really am so sorry." She said quietly as she yanked her shirt over herself. That look in Kayley's eyes made her feel even worse...what had she been thinking? Kayley didn't have feelings for her, she had them for Joseph and she had been stupid to act so thoughtlessly. "I just...I like you, and I'm sorry I shouldn't have kissed you." She said, her words coming out fast and a little strung. She wouldn't blame Kayley if she never wanted to see her again, hells Lonette had half a mind to leave the city. She grabbed her crossbow and slung it over her shoulder, her whole body was on edge from what had just happened and she wanted to leave before she did something else.

Kayley laid on the ground dumbfounded as Lonette scrambled off of her and kept apologizing. She pushed herself up on her elbows and watched as her friend paced around the campsite. Her head was still spinning from the kiss but she pushed it away. Lonette was freaking out and that made her feel horrible for rejecting her so suddenly. When she saw Lonette grab for her crossbow, Kayley scrambled to her feet, fixing her clothes as she made her way over. Her hand grabbed onto Lonette's as she was walking away and pulled her back. "Hang on, it's okay. You don't need to run away." She tugged on Lonette's hand until the girl spun towards her and Kayley put her hands on her shoulders to keep her looking at her. "I'm sorry for reacting like that, you just caught me off guard. Please don't leave."

Lonette's mind was so caught up on what happened, that she almost missed Kayley calling her name. She froze though as Kayley spun her around and faced her. Lonette avoided meeting her eyes, afraid that she would see that same look. "I know you like Joseph, so really I think it would be best if I left. I don't want to hurt you like that again." Lonette admitted as she kept her gaze lowered. "You're one of the few people I've actually befriended and I went and blew it." She said as she made a face, she hated how it had been her who had done it. Seeing Kayley's expression...it was something that would keep her up nights, that she already knew.

Kayley lowered herself, trying to catch Lonette's gaze as she held her firmly by the shoulders. "Lonette, stop it. I said it's fine." She let one hand move up and cupped Lonette's cheek, turning the girl's head so she would look at her. "Nothing is ruined, believe me. I'm not going to stop being your friend because of a kiss. Come here." She pulled Lonette towards her and wrapped her arms around her in an embrace. It was understandable how she was reacting but Kayley hadn't minded at all. After all, she was the one worried about hurting her friend because she didn't feel the same. She kept her arms wrapped tightly around her until she was satisfied that she wouldn't leave. After a moment, she pulled back and took Lonette by the hand, leading her back to the campsite. "Now sit here and don't move or I'll have to hunt you down." She tried to tease and took off Lonette's crossbow before moving over to make a small fire. Once the fire was lit, she hung a pot over it and started to make some hot chocolate, knowing that it would help calm Lonette down.

Lonette tensed as Kayley hugged her, but she kept her mind firmly on platonic thoughts as she hesitantly patted Kayley on the back. She didn't protest Kayley taking her crossbow, her attention was far too busy on what Kayley said. "So you're not upset?" She asked quietly as she glanced down at Kayley's hand holding her own as Kayley led her to sit down. She was feeling even more confused by the second but didn't dare let her hopes go up. Lonette watched as Kayley set up the fire and started mixing things for hot chocolate....just the way Lonette liked it. It was a thoughtful gesture and Lonette felt a small smile slowly work it's way onto her face.

Kayley glanced over at her as she poured some of the hot chocolate into two mugs. "Of course not. If anything, I'm upset with myself for not being able to return your feelings...but I understand." She smiled and walked over to Lonette, handing her a mug before taking a seat next to her. The mug steamed in her hands, giving off a warmth that she enjoyed. "I know it sucks, liking someone who doesn't feel the same way about you. But you can't let that stop you. We can still be friends. I'm not going to get upset and leave you over something like that." She offered her smile, hoping that she was being more comforting instead of rubbing it in. It broke her heart that she had to hurt her like this, but she didn't want to lose her as a friend either.

Lonette's smile felt weak at Kayley's next words, "Don't...you can't help who you have feelings for." She pointed out as she accepted the mug from Kayley with a small smile. "I'd like to be friends, I don't have enough of them." She admitted as she glanced down at her steaming mug of cocoa. "I'm sure things will work out with you and Joseph, and if not I can always knock some sense into him." Lonette added with a tiny smile at the thought of paying her uncle a little visit. "He's an idiot you know, but I guess he did have a rough life." Lonette said with a shrug. She hadn't heard much about their childhoods, just that it had been bad. Her hands tightened on her mug as she took a sip, the heat nearly scorching her tongue.

Kayley couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief when Lonette said she still wanted to be friends. She had been the only friend she's had since she was a child and that was something she didn't want to lose. At Lonette's words about Joseph, she couldn't help but smile and looked out over the river. She knew Joseph had had a hard life and he never wanted to talk to her about it. Maybe some day she could get him to open up to her but for now she'd have to take what he gave her. "If nothing happens then I am fine with that too I suppose. After all, he is so much older than me...He probably just thinks of me like a child." She frowned at the thought, remembering the first night she had met the Korso twins. Michael had called her a child and practically ignored her. But Joseph, he actually treated her like something more than a child. He let her drink with him, hang around him...maybe that's why she liked him. Though his methods were a little unorthodox, he still treated her like a normal person. She glanced at Lonette out of the corner of her eye and flinched when she took a drink of the scorching hot liquid. "Careful, it's still really hot." She couldn't help but giggle and held the mug tighter in her hands.

Lonette made a face, "Trust me Kayley I don't think he could look at you as a child." She said under her breath, it was true though. Kayley was so innocent but at the same time she was very lovely, anyone with eyes could see that and if Joey didn't make a move soon she'd go through with her threat. The man was an idiot but she knew there were some things that even he didn't feel comfortable doing. She raised an eyebrow at Kayley's words, "Little late don't ya think?" She asked teasingly with a roll of her eyes. Her tongue burned but she'd had worse pains, "So are you going to tell him how you feel?" She asked, choosing this time to blow on her hot cocoa before she took a sip.

Kayley bit her lip at Lonette's question and looked down at her hands. There were times that she had made it pretty obvious to him that she was interested, but he never seemed to do anything about it. "Probably not...Well, maybe. Someday. I just don't want to seem like an idiot to him if I tell him. I know he'd just laugh in my face." She took a small sip of her drink, the hot liquid moving down her throat and it made her relax a little. The only way she would tell Joseph was if she knew he had feelings for her in return or, gods forbid, either of them got sick and might not make it. She still wasn't sure what would happen if either of them died while they were bound together, but she was falling for the man and it wouldn't matter to her if she went with him or he went with her. She just wanted to be with him.
