Naveen looked up into the sky, his eyes staring at the full moon over his head. It was on nights like these that he couldn't sleep and thankfully Eric's house was close enough to the forest that he could go out and wander without going too far. His nightmares were getting worse with each night as it got closer to day it all happened. In just a few more days, it would mark the anniversary of when his village was destroyed by Aurora's sister, the day that his whole life changed. Each year when the date rolls around, Naveen would lock himself up in his cave and get so drunk that he'd never remember it. But now that he was back in Paradise and with Eric, he had been staying way from his bad habits. His thoughts moved to his family, most of all his little sister. She had been born different than him or his parents. He knew it from the day she was born but he was never sure until she had gotten older. Naveen had kept his sister's difference from his parents, afraid that they would shun her or leave her to die out on her own. He had grown so attached to her, vowing to do all that he could to protect her. Naveen came to a stop at the edge of the lake, shoving his hands in his pockets as he looked up at the moon once again. "Nita...I'm so sorry..." Tears stung in his eyes before he lowered his head, squeezing his eyes shut. Had he been there the day it all happened, he could have saved her. He could have saved everyone. From across the lake, Naveen could hear a singing voice drifting over the water towards him in a soft manner. The voice suddenly caused a wave of comfort over him and he sighed as his grief slowly faded away. It reminded him so much of his sister that he didn't even care where it came from. He stood with his eyes closed as he listened, the wind blowing a light breeze through the forest.

Nita brushed out her long dark hair with a golden comb, it was a habit Nita had fallen into. Every night, she would sit on a rock near a lake. The sorcerer would move his treasure around every so often, and for this month she sat near a lake. The treasure was kept hidden away from mortal eyes, until she would be freed. However that prospect was looking more unlikely with each passing year. At least for tonight, she didn't have to worry about the sorcerer disturbing her. He was confidant enough in leaving her unguarded, as the curse kept her bound to his treasure. The only means of escape from him and from guarding his treasure was by someone completing a challenge. The challenges changed every month, according to the sorcerer's mood. However it seemed that no one could set Nita free, even though it had been several years since Nita's capture. The sorcerer was the one who set the rules and thus she had no choice but to obey him. Her mind wandered to her family, it had been so many years since she had seen them. She doubted any of them stil lived...not even Naveen. Her brother had always been the one that Nita adored and had done her utmost to make him proud of her. Nita closed her eyes as she thought of her home and started to sing a lullaby that her mother had used to sing to her. Her mother had taught her how to sing, even though it wasn't something dragon hunters did. Nita had always loved singing, it seemed to be the only thing that could calm her down when she remembered her old life. A life that was nothing more then a memory that she looked back on with both sadness and fondness. Her voice faltered as she thought about much she had missed. Had Naveen married Aurora? Aurora had always been so kind, and Nita had desperately wanted Naveen to propose to her. Giving up on singing at least for the moment, Nita stood up and paced she couldn't go very far for obvious reasons. Her body was a little sore from sitting in one place for too long and she wanted to calm herself down. The dress that she wore, was a far cry from anything Nita would ever willingly pick out. It was a silky white dress that clung to her curves and left little to the imagination. Nita hated the clothes that the sorcerer gave her, it was one more reminder that she had no free will. "I wish you were here Naveen." She said quietly as she stared down at her dark reflection in the water.

With a sigh, Naveen opened his eyes and looked across the lake. Standing at the shore, he saw a young woman dressed in white with flowing black hair behind her. The figure looked just like his sister had when he last saw her. A small part of him hoped that it was her but he knew deep down that there was no way. She had died with their parents on that day. Within a moment, Naveen shifted into his dragon form and flew across the lake, landing in the shadows of the trees before he shifted back into his human form. He emerged from the shadows, his bow ready in hand just in case he was making a big mistake with this. "You shouldn't be out here alone at this time of night miss. Do you need someone to take you home?" Naveen kept the bow tight in his hand until the woman turned to him. He froze in his place at the sight of her, staring in disbelief. "Ni...Nita?" The bow slipped out of his fingertips, falling into the dirt with a thud. "How can this be? I thought you were dead..." It had been over a century since he had been human and even though he knew that his sister would be immortal because of her difference, he had believed that she had been killed in the attack. And even if she wasn't, he had never expected to see her again. She must have hated him for not being there and saving everyone, not that he would blame her.

Nita heard something over head but dismissed it as her just hearing things and then she heard a man's voice...a very familiar voice. Her eyes widened and she turned around to see the very same person she had wished to see standing in front of her. It couldn't be possible, to her knowledge he hadn't been like her but looking at him she could see things that were vastly different from the Naveen she had known. "Naveen?" She asked and felt tears hit her eyes as the comb fell out of her hand and into the lake with a splash but she paid it no mind. "I thought...I thought you were dead too." She said quietly as she slowly moved towards him but stopped when she ran into the magical barrier that prevented her from leaving the treasure. A sigh left her as she stepped back, "Please tell me you're real." She said as she stared up at him as if afraid that he would be a figment of her imagination.

Naveen took slow steps towards her until he was only inches from her. "Of course I'm real." He lifted his hand, lightly cupping her cheek in his hand. She was real too...He had almost expected his fingers to fall through like she was a mirage but they didn't. They touched perfect, warm skin. A tear fell down his cheek before he pulled her in for a hug. His arms wrapped around her, gripping onto her as if he could lose her and second. "I'm so sorry..I should have come to find you. I shouldn't have left you alone." There was so much he wanted to say to her but he couldn't get any of it out. All he wanted to do was hold her, beg for her forgiveness. He should have known she was alive. He should have tried to find her.

Nita's whole body shivered as Naveen stretched his hand out and lightly cupped her face. He was real, and she leaned into his touch barely daring to hope that this was actually happening. As soon as he hugged her, she clung to him tightly the tears that she had felt earlier now falling down her face at a fast pace. "I missed you so much." She whispered as she quietly cried. His words barely registered and she shook her head, "You didn't know...how could you have known?" She asked as she moved and kissed him on the cheek. She felt happier now then she had in years, but all of that dimmed when she remembered her situation. "Naveen, there's something I have to tell you." She said as she pulled back and avoided looking at him directly in the eye. "I can't leave...I'm under a spell but it's more like a curse. The day I went to go pick flowers, I was taken by a sorcerer and he's having me guard his treasure for him." She said as she made a face. There was no way she would tell him what the sorcerer had done to her. Naveen had always had a bit of an anger problem and he could get very protective.

Naveen kept her hand in his as she pulled back and placed a kiss on his cheek. He didn't dare to let go, afraid that she'd fade away if he did. At her words, he frowned and his gaze hardened. He should have known that someone would have found out about her and use her for their own selfish reasons. "How can I get you free? I'll do anything, I swear. And I'll give that bastard a piece of my mind for taking you." His hand tightened around hers slightly and his eyes started to turn to their orange color, even though it was only slightly. The idea of someone controlling his little sister like this was enough to drive him up the wall. He had no doubt that the man had done something to her but he wouldn't press her about it. Since he of all people knew what it was like to relive a past you'd rather forget.

Nita gently squeezed Naveen's hand with her own and bit her lip at Naveen's question. "I'm afraid you're not going to like it Naveen. You have to kiss me." She said and looked up at him. "I won't blame you if you don't want to do it! He changes the challenges each month and this one, well...he's become a little cocky." She said with a shrug. "Last month, the challenge was the person having to walk on water." She said with a sigh, which of course would have been impossible for anyone. The sorcerer had even gone so far as to insinuate that no one would want to kiss her. It certainly seemed to be that way, and she could hardly blame Naveen if he didn't want to kiss her.

Naveen stared down blankly at her, his lips squeezing together lightly. Kiss her? Was she serious? He glanced over his shoulder in the direction of Eric's house, debating if he should ask Eric for help. He knew that Eric was only into men but if it was to save his sister, maybe he would help. Though when Naveen realized how far he had wandered, it would be too late if he went to get Eric. When he got back, there was no guarantee that Nita would still be there when he got back. He sighed and ran his free hand through his hair. "If..If it's the only thing that can set you free, I'll do it. I refuse to leave you under his control for another month." Naveen griped her hand, pulling her body close to his. If he had to kiss her, he'd make it the best damn kiss possible for her. She had been trapped by this man for so long and there was no knowing what he had done to her. All Naveen could do for her was try and help her forget, even if it meant he had to kiss his little sister. "Don't you dare tell anyone I did this. I will deny it tooth and nail, alright?" When she nodded, Naveen took a deep breath and slipped his hand around her waist. "Close your eyes." Once her eyes were closed, Naveen leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. He made sure to make it a passionate kiss, his lips almost showing how desperate he was to save her.

Nita watched as Naveen took in the information, she was a little worried about his reaction. However he didn't react quite how she had anticipated. "Are you sure?" She asked quietly as he pulled her closer against him. No one else had held her like this except for the sorcerer so her body became a little tense. She nodded at his question and closed her eyes at his words, she wasn't expecting the kiss to be so passionate. Her lips parted in surprise as she hesitantly deepened the kiss. The kiss was much different from the sloppy wet kisses that the sorcerer would force on her. Maybe it was because Naveen was her brother and he cared about her. Her hands slid up and gripped his shoulders, not seeming to notice the glow that grew from her body as they kissed from the spell becoming broken.

Naveen felt her deepen the kiss and he fought the sudden urge he had to touch her in intimate places. He had to remind himself that this was his sister and he was only doing this because he had to. After a moment, his grip tightened on her waist before he pulled back and watched as the light slowly faded from her body. Once the light faded, he felt her body become slightly more heavy in his arms and he caught her in his arms before she could fall to the ground. "Nita, are you alright?" He held her close to his body, refusing to let her go until she told him to. His body still buzzed with the adrenaline from kissing her but he tried to push it aside. Never in his life did he imagine that he'd have to do that to her but it was to save her and he would have done anything. He ran his hand through her hair before he helped her stand back on her feet, keeping his hands on her waist until the was fully steady. "Did it work?"

Nita was enjoying the kiss much more then she thought she would have due to her past experience. It was almost reluctantly that she felt him pull back, and she stared up at him from under her eyelashes. It was only then that she dimly realized that her body was reacting to the spell leaving her. Nita gasped as her body sagged from the sudden drain on her energy levels. "I...I'm just a little exhausted." She quietly admitted as she caught her breath. As Naveen helped her up, she nearly reacted to the feeling of his hands on her waist. "I think it worked." She said and felt a real smile work it's way free. "Thank you!" Nita whispered before leaning forward and kissing him again without really thinking of what she was doing.

Naveen grinned when she said that it had worked. Though he wasn't expecting her to kiss him again that he nearly stumbled back, his arm slipping around her waist again as he steadied himself. He pulled back, lightly pushing on her shoulders until their lips parted again. Without saying a word, Naveen took a step back and pulled off his cloak, slinging it around her shoulders. "Come on, I'll take you home." He put his arm around her as he took her back to Eric's house. He'd have to explain things to Eric in the morning, but for now he just wanted to get her as far away as he could from that damn wizard. Once they were back at the house, Naveen took her to one of the spare bedrooms, making sure that it was close enough to his and Eric's so if she needed anything during the night, he'd be close enough. He had one of Eric's servants bring up and extra pair of clothes for his sister and a fresh meal. "You can stay here for now until I talk with Eric and see if we can set you up a room or something. Here, I bet you want to get out of that dress." He motioned to the white dress she was wearing, noticing how it clung to her curves. Naveen handed her the clothes the servant had brought and turned his back to her to give her some privacy. He made his way over to the fireplace, throwing some logs into it so he could start a fire. Once the logs were in place, he blew a soft breath over them, using it to light the fire quickly so the room would warm up.

Nita blushed as he pulled back, "I'm so sorry I didn't even think." She said apologetically, wishing that she could sink through the ground at that moment. She kept replaying the kiss all the way back to Naveen's place, "So is this were you live?" She asked curiously as she took in the huge mansion. It was definitely a lovely place, and she wondered how Naveen had been able to buy it. The room that he led her too was much better then the room she had had at their old home. She turned around at Naveen's words and glanced down at the dress she wore, blushing even more so as he pointed out the dress. "You have no idea, although this is probably one of the more modest outfits I've been forced to wear." She added almost as an afterthought. Her eyes brightened as the maid brought her a fresh change of clothes and she moved to change behind the dressing screen that was provided in the room. The shirt looked like it was meant for a man but it had a low neckline. It made her think of the shirt that Naveen currently wore, as his was low enough for her to see the scars on his chest. She wondered how he had gotten such scars, they showed that Naveen had been through a lot. Her mind flew back to their kiss as she took off the dress with a sigh of relief. Never again would she wear outfits like that, she was fine with her body but she didn't like to feel like she was on display. The shirt slid over her frame and while it was large, it settled over her curves and hung down past her thighs. The pants were too big and she decided against even trying them on for fear that they would fall right off. Instead she pulled on the bathrobe and was relieved that it covered the rest of her body more efficiently. Nita smiled as she fixed her hair and pulled it to rest over one shoulder as she stepped past the dressing screen. "That feels so much better, really Naveen thank you." She said gently as she sank into a chair next to him.

Naveen poked the fire with an iron rod, watching as the wood started to burn nicely. "It's not my mansion, I'm just staying here with a...a friend. I've only arrived back in Paradise a few weeks ago." He didn't even know what to call Eric in all honestly. They had been sleeping together but he wasn't sure if Eric wanted to be in a real relationship or not. When he heard he come out from behind the screen, he stood up and glanced over at her. She was wearing one of his shirts and a bathrobe. He cleared his throat and sat by the edge of the fireplace, doing his best to keep his mind off of how she looked. "Sorry those clothes are too big, they are some of my spares. Eric and I don't have any women over much so there's not much here." He laughed softly to himself and leaned against the wall. She did look much happier now that she was free and in new clothes. It had been so long since he had seen her and so much has happened. "So I bet you're wondering how I am still alive since it has been....I don't even know how long since mom and dad were around so I better explain myself." He ran a hand through his hair before he sighed and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Well the day that you must have been out picking flowers, our village was attacked by a dragon. She burned everything and killed everyone and I wasn't there to stop it...After that, I kind of went insane. I'm not proud of it. I found out that Aurora was a dragon and we got into a huge fight. And somehow...I died. She had killed me during out fight. I don't really remember much about being dead because before I knew it, I was awake in the forest again, completely alive expect for one change. Aurora had changed me...she gave me her blood and now I'm immortal like her..like you. I'm a weredragon." Naveen took a deep breath and glanced up at her, worried that maybe she would still be like they were when they were children. They always had contests on who could get the most dragons and now that he was one, he was worried that she'd want to kill him. Not that it should bother him, considering he had wanted to kill himself when he was first changed.
