Naveen pushed himself to his feet and wrapped his arms around his waist, keeping the robe tight around him. He made his way to the door, ignoring her cries behind him. As he opened the door, he paused at her words. His hand tightened around the knob as he remembered his nightmare and he squeezed his eyes shut. "It's not a big deal. I have them all the time." He turned to face her, a pained expression on his face. Naveen watched as she moved towards him, her hand stretching past him as she shut the door so he couldn't leave. He was worried he could have hurt her. Eric had learned not to wake him when he was having a nightmare. The last time he did, Naveen had nearly chocked Eric until he passed out. Why he reacted that way, he didn't know. Maybe it was the dragon part of him that thought of them as a threat. He ran a hand through his hair as Nita looked up at him. "I'm sorry I attacked you like that. I don't know what got into me..." He pressed his back against the door as he tried to put some space between them, avoiding to look at her in the eyes.

Nita frowned as he moved to put some distance between the two of them. "I shouldn't have tried to wake you, I just got worried. Have you...talked to anyone about your nightmares? I mean it helped me when you listened to me talk about mine." She said quietly. She moved one hand to lift his chin so his eyes were level with her own. "I'm here for you if you ever want to talk, you know that right?" She asked softly as she studied him with a loving gaze. Seeing him so terrified of what he had almost done, made her feel terrible. "I owe you so much...for everything." Nita was being honest as she admitted this, she wasn't sure Naveen knew how much he had done for her meant to her. "You're a better person then you think you are, and that dragon part of you can be kind of awesome." She added with a small smile. She let her hand fall and stepped back to give him some breathing room should he need it. "I hope things are still ok between us." She added as she hugged herself, making the shirt hike up the tiniest bit to reveal her skin underneath.

Naveen frowned at her words and shook his head. He hadn't talked to Eric about his nightmares, especially if they were about Aurora. Eric didn't know about that part of his life and he really didn't want him to. He was a terrible person back then to do what he did and he didn't want Eric to know. "No..I haven't talked to anyone. I went a century dealing with these on my own, I can take care of it.." When she took his chin in her hand, he finally looked at her and nodded. "Of course things are okay." He gave her a soft smile before he moved back into the room and sat down by the window. "If you really think it will help...I'll tell you. You just can't tell Eric. I haven't told him everything about my past.." When she nodded, he sighed and sucked in a shaky breath. "I have dreams about Aurora still..Even after I told myself I would hate her. It's always before I found out about her and at our old home. She was pregnant back then and we were so happy...but she lost the baby. In my dreams, it starts out perfect and then all of a sudden, it goes dark. I hear a baby crying but I can never find it and then it becomes so deafening that I can't focus at all. Blood is everywhere and I can never find out where it comes from...and that's when I wake up." He could feel his body sweating again as he spoke and he ran his hands over his face. It was such a stupid dream to have but that was the closest he'd ever been to a normal life. He was going to have a child with a normal woman. But then everything went downhill. She was a dragon and he was so stupid to destroy her own life as well as his own. "It's not something that should still bother me. But I did love her then...I probably still do now but I can never be with her again. Not after what I had done."

Nita watched as he moved to sit down and sat next to him, she bit down on her bottom lip as he explained the dream. "You said everyone at home died...how were they killed?" She asked quietly as she kept her gaze on her him. She had a sinking suspicion exactly how everyone at home died. "It was a dragon wasn't it? That's why you and Aurora broke up and-" She broke off feeling very sad for both Naveen and Aurora. Naveen had died but Aurora had brought him back as a weredragon, there was more that she was missing. However Naveen had told her enough and she knew that it was painful for him to talk about. She rested a hand on his arm when she saw the sweat break out once again just from talking about everything. "How about we make a pact? If either of us has nightmares again, we'll go and wake up the other person. It won't matter what time it is but if either of us needs someone there....even without having to say anything then we should do that. You helped me last night with my nightmare...and I'd like to do the same for you. I won't tell Eric about anything that you've told me, and I know you won't tell anyone about my nightmares. I mean if you told anyone I might seek my revenge." She said with a little wink up at him before she held up her pinkie, much as she had when they were kids. "So you with me on this?" She asked challengingly, the only thing giving everything away was her teasing smile. If she could cheer her brother up in some small way, then she'd feel like she had succeeded at least a little bit. "As for what you just told me, I don't know everything that happened, but I love you and I support you. Don't hate me for saying this but....maybe you should forgive yourself? From how you were talking....it sounded to me like you felt guilty. If anything, I'd look at what you've done not only for me but for Eric. You're an amazing guy, I wish you could see what I see when I look at you." She said gently before she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

Naveen looked up when she had asked about their home, about whether or not it was attacked by a dragon. He bit his tongue and nodded before looking down at his hands. "It was Aurora's sister...she came through one night after I had left home to be with Aurora and burned everything. I came back in the morning to visit mom and that's when I saw it. Everything was destroyed and there were bodies everywhere. That was when I snapped..." He leaned back in the chair and glanced out the window. "I had tried so hard to give up that life because I wanted to be normal. But when she told me what Aurora was, I lost it. She could have been using me the whole time just to get to our family or maybe she was telling the truth when I confronted her, I don't know. But I snapped and resorted to my old ways. I went after her family...killed every single one of them. Then she found out and well, you know the rest.." He frowned but her words seemed to comfort him. When she teased with him, he gave her a smile and lifted his pinky to hers. "Deal. I'll do my best for you Nita."

Nita's expression dimmed as he explained it, "Honestly Naveen...I might have reacted the same way you did. I wish I could have been there for you...maybe if I had been fast enough, we could have been there for each other? But I'm with you now so that's good right?" She sighed and nudged his shoulder with her own, "I'll always be here for you, Naveen and I promise to do my best for you too. You have my word." She added. Deciding to take Naveen's mind off of his nightmares, she suddenly leaned over and tickled his side. "I seem to recall I was the champ at tickle fights." She said with a wink up at him. That hadn't always been the case though, Naveen was pretty good at the game himself. A part of her worried that he might think she was being childish, but she brushed that aside.

Naveen's body twitched when her fingertips tickled at his sides and he couldn't help the smile that came to his face. "That's where you're wrong. What makes you think that you can beat me?" He smirked before his hand seized her wrist and pulled her into his lap. His hands tickled at her sides, pinning her down in his lap as he took over. Her laughs echoed through the room and he gave her a devilish look before he picked her up in his arms and flung her over his shoulder. He moved across the room and tossed her onto the bed. "And round one goes to me." Naveen grinned as he pumped a fist into the air playfully. It was nice to be laughing with her again. Ever since they had been together, everything was so serious. Now he could act like a kid again.

Nita squealed with laughter as he pulled her onto his lap and started tickling her. "I give up!" She said and laughed even louder as he picked her up over his shoulder and then slung her onto the bed. "Only because you cheated!" She said as she stuck her tongue out at him playfully before leaning over and tickling him again. For the first time in a long time, she felt carefree and happy...emotions that she had thought were long gone. With a teasing look in her eye, she grabbed Naveen's hand and pulled him down onto the bed before she moved to straddle him. "So who's the winner now?" She asked as she smiled down at him. That was when she first started to feel a little dizzy and she closed her eyes. Her smile dimmed as she struggled to keep herself upright. "I don't feel so-" Her words came out weak and pained as the brand on her stomach flared. She cried out and slipped off of Naveen with her eyes squeezed shut in pain, "No...no....oh please no." She whispered in growing panic. A part of her had hoped that with the sorcerer gone, maybe this wouldn't happen. The feel of blood sliding down her thigh alerted her to what was going on. Her skin had become deadly pale as she swayed on her feet, "Navee-" Whatever else she was about to say was lost as she pitched to the side in a dead faint.

Naveen laughed when she pulled him down onto the bed and moved to straddle his hips. Just as he reached up to tickle her back, he noticed how her whole demeanor changed. Her smile faded and her body started to waver on top of him. Worry clouded his eyes as she slipped off of him and cried out in pain. "Nita? Nita, what's wrong?" He quickly pushed himself up and jumped to his feet. Her body started to fall to the ground and Naveen rushed forward and caught her in his arms. Naveen laid her down on the ground, keeping her head in his lap as he checked over her body. Her skin was cold and pale and he glanced down, noticing the blood that was running down her thighs. A sinking feeling took over his gut as he realized what must have happened. He had gone through this with Aurora and now it was happening to his sister. Naveen ran his hand through her hair lightly as she laid unconscious in his lap. She had been pregnant....The wizard must have gotten her pregnant and this reaction could only have been a miscarriage. It seemed much more violent then the ones that Aurora went through and then he remembered her brand. Naveen growled in distaste, hating the sorcerer even more. He had ruined his sister for life by doing what he did to her and now she could never have a chance at a normal life.

Nita slowly came too, feeling sick and in pain. "W...what happened?" She asked quietly as she saw Naveen hovering over her. Then she remembered the feeling she had had, "I....I lost the baby didn't I?" She asked as she felt the sticky feeling of blood between her thighs. A sob worked it's way free as she clung to Naveen's arms. "I hoped that if the sorcerer was dead...maybe I could keep the baby." She admitted as she kept her eyes averted, too afraid to see the look in Naveen's eyes. "I should have said something...I just wasn't sure how." She felt ashamed for having kept it a secret, even more so from Naveen. Her body shook both from pain and sadness as her expression became more downcast. "This isn't the first miscarriage I've had Naveen." She admitted quietly as she remembered how many she had gone through. Her first miscarriage had been the worst as Nita hadn't been prepared for the pains and the sickness that came with it. "The sorcerer didn't want to worry about any loose ends when I was with him. So he added a few special modifications to the brand he gave me." She said bitterly, her eyes dim.

Naveen picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bed, gingerly setting her down. The amount of blood she had lost worried him. This was worse than any miscarriage he had seen with Aurora, of course this one was from magic. When she started to come to, Naveen held her hand in his as he stared down at her. At her words, he nodded softly, sadness filling his eyes. "I'm not upset with you Nita...but if you had told me, I probably could have helped you." He hated this sorcerer even more now that he knew this wasn't the first time she had gone through this. He should have made the man suffer... He reached over and dipped a towel in the bowl of water by the bed, moving it over her thighs carefully as he cleaned up a little of the blood.

Nita bit down on her bottom lip as Naveen picked her up and carried her back to the bed. It still hurt and at Naveen's words she nodded, "I was too much of a coward." She admitted softly. Her body shivered as Naveen used a damp cloth to start cleaning the blood off of her thighs. "I can do that." She said as she moved to sit up, a little worried about her body's reaction if his hand got too close to her area. Nita had barely been able to keep herself from making a fool of herself that morning. Naveen had an effect on her that she wasn't used too and she was worried that she'd make things worse by saying or doing something that would make it obvious. The only person Nita had ever been intimate with was the sorcerer and he had never cared about what she liked. If only Naveen wasn't her brother....maybe things could have been different. The thought made her feel even more conflicted. The pains from the brand had receded but Nita was still pale and shaky. She felt some relief, knowing that it wouldn't be long before she'd feel slightly back to her usual self.

Naveen put a hand on her shoulder as she sat up and shook his head. "At least let me get the easier parts. You need to rest, I know what I'm doing." He kept his gaze down as he cleaned around her knees before moving the cloth up a little more. Flashes of the times he had done this for Aurora crossed over his vision and he frowned. It had hurt back then when she lost the baby. He didn't speak to her for days because he was convinced he had done something to cause it. He moved the cloth about halfway up her thighs before he stopped and rinsed it in the bowl again. "Are you feeling well enough to get the rest?" Naveen motioned to the area between her thighs, keeping his gaze away from it slightly. It still felt awkward getting this close to her, despite the fact that they were brother and sister. He had kissed her already after all and he couldn't deny how she had made him feel but they were family and he still had to treat her with respect.

Nita let out a shaky breath as she lay back down. Her body still shook from the pain she had undergone. "I can try." She said as she pushed herself up, her hands shook as she took the cloth from Naveen. She bit down on her bottom lip as she struggled to keep a grip on herself. The last thing she wanted to do was to make Naveen feel awkward or embarrassed around her. She didn't get very far before dark spots swam in her vision and she fell back against the pillows with a pained expression. "Damn it....sorry Naveen." She said quietly, her breath coming out a little labored as she struggled not to black out a second time. She silently cursed the sorcerer out in her mind for putting her in this situation. She wasn't even sure how Naveen would react.

Naveen kept a close eye on her as she leaned up to take the cloth, but as soon as he saw her begin to fall back, his arms flew up to catch her. He slowly lowered her down onto the pillows once more and took the cloth from her. "It's fine, don't force yourself." His fingertips grabbed hold of the cloth once more before he dipped it in the water. "If you need me to stop, just tell me. I know it's painful." He gave her a soft smile before he turned his attention back to the task. Naveen moved her shirt up slightly so it wouldn't cover her before he ran the cloth over her inner thigh. The fabric wiped up the rest of the blood on her thighs before he had to clean the rest of her. His movements hesitated for a moment before he carefully spread her legs a little so he could reach. He brought the cloth forwards and gingerly moved it over her area, cleaning off the blood. Once the cloth was soaked in blood, he rinsed it in the bowl before cleaning her once more.
