Nita stared at herself in the mirror, the dress was gorgeous...Eddie really had gone all out for the dress alone. It was a corded lace appliqué and tulle over a soft satin A line cage wedding dress. The detailing was something that only added to the beauty of the dress in Nita's opinion. The back of the dress had a lace open keyhole back with a sweeping train. The overlay of the dress had a chapel train with a matching lace appliquéd cage skirt. The dress fit like a glove and made Nita feel like a princess. There was just one problem....she couldn't take her mind off of Naveen. Ever since she had met him, she had gone over everything that he had said. She rubbed a golden coin that hung on a chain around her neck. The name Naveen felt and sounded so familiar...like he had been telling the truth. Nita sighed and picked up the bouquet, a bundle of winter lilies and lowered her veil over her face. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, she almost didn't recognize herself...the woman looking back at her was sophisticated and beautiful. Nita was only used to seeing herself look sexy...which was fine but this...it was a nice change. Marrying Eddie could be good for her...but deep down Nita knew she didn't love him. Not like how she should, she knew that but it didn't change how she felt. "What am I doing?" She asked under her breath as she took off her veil and set it on the table next to her. Eddie deserved better...he deserved someone who could love him. As for Nita, well she could leave...do what she had wanted to do for a long time...and then her mind returned to Naveen. What if he was who he said he was? Could she leave him behind? How would she even find him anyway? Nita let out a sigh and took a sip from the wine glass that was on the counter, hoping that the drink could calm her nerves. Maybe it was all just nerves that she was feeling? Her hand shook and she set the glass down before it could slip from her fingers. "Just breathe...that's all you need to do." She whispered, closing her eyes as she tried to steel in her emotions. hair: www.elegantweddinginvites.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/romantic-updos-wedding-hairstles-with-curls-for-long-hair.jpgdress front: www.bestbridalprices.com/images/davidtutera/s2015/large/Lourdes.jpgdress back: www.bestbridalprices.com/images/davidtutera/s2015/large/Lourdesa.jpg

Naveen stood in front of the mirror in Aurora cave, his hands tugging at the sleeves of the outfit she had given him. He was only going to talk to Nita but Aurora had insisted that if he was going to go to a wedding, he had to look the part. It wasn't overly fancy but it was still not something he would wear willingly and since she was the one dressing him, he guessed she wanted to make him look as ridiculous as possible. She put him in a leather tunic that hugged his form with a cream long sleeved shirt beneath it that just made him itch. The clothing restricted his movements more than he was used to and he sighed. That was exactly why he hardly ever wore shirts and even if he did, they were loose enough to move in. He ran a hand through his hair as he took in his appearance. The last time he had dressed up like this was on the night he had been planning on proposing to Aurora but he hadn't even had the chance for her to see him like that since that was the night he found out who she really was. He glanced over at her over his shoulder, noticing how she had fallen asleep in her bed. She had been up with him most of the night, especially since he was drunk off his ass before and she probably thought he was going to break something or hurt himself. A small smile tugged at his lips but he cleared his throat and returned his attention to his task. With one last adjustment, he grabbed his cloak and left the cave, leaving Aurora a note of his gratitude by her bed. Why he had gone to her instead of Eric, he didn't know, but he was glad he had. She brought him to his senses and that was exactly what he needed. He had cheated and used his dragon form to get to the chapel quicker, landing a good distance away so no one would find out. Naveen made his way up the steps, blending in with the crowd that was already gathering. He managed to dodge anyone that may have recognized him from that night at the strip club and made his way back to the private rooms in the back. His hand rested on the doorknob that led to what he had overheard one of the ushers saying was the bride's room, his heart pounding in his ears. What if she didn't listen to him, or even believe him? She hadn't last night but he at least had to try. With a deep breath, Naveen pushed open the door, stopping in his tracks when he saw her before him. She looked like an angel in that dress and he stood in awe before her for a moment. "Nita..." He closed the door behind him, deciding to lock it just in case someone would think to barge in and catch him with her. Before she could even say anything, Naveen raised his hand up to keep her from talking. "Before you say anything, I know you don't know who I am or even want to...but you can't go through with this wedding. This is such a big mistake and...You don't love him, I can see it in your eyes. You don't deserve a man like that..." His words trailed off as he realized that he was rambling and bit his tongue before he lowered his hand, letting her know she could speak now.

Nita smoothed the dress out with a slightly shaky hand and looked up as she heard the door open. "I'll be right there." She said and then broke off when she saw Naveen in the mirror, just behind her. He looked...well it was hard not to stare at him...the leather tunic outlined every muscle. It was quite a change from the night before, and she could tell he had had a shower. She blinked and turned around to face him, his words resonating within her. "You mean that don't you?" She asked quietly once he had trailed off. She glanced down at the ring on her finger and then sighed, "I thought I knew what I was doing but ever since I've met you, I've been thinking about what you said." Nita admitted, her voice coming out hushed and a little unsure. "I can't stop thinking about you...it feels like I've known you my whole life and I-" She raised her head to stare at Naveen with conflicting emotions. Before he could move, she had crossed the room and was kissing him. A memory hit her then, of her and Naveen kissing in a bedroom...he was hovering over her and Nita gasped as the memory left her. She pulled away and rubbed the golden coin hanging around her neck, "I...I'm so sorry, I just had to see." Her gaze flicked down to his lips and she was having a hard time not kissing him again. There was a name...a name that kept escaping her..one that was important. "Why can't I remember?" The words left her as she stepped back from Naveen, trying to remember the other man's name.

Naveen nodded at her question, his eyes never leaving hers. Though as she spoke, his gaze slowly traveled to the floor. She had things all sorted out before he showed up and now he was only messing things up for her even more. Before he could even look up, her body was before him, her lips pressing against his. He stumbled back and his back rested against the door as she kissed him, he hands moving up and resting on her hips. Before he could get sucked into it, his hands tried to push her away but thankfully, she pulled back on her own. He stood in silence for a moment, avoiding looking at her at first until he gaze met hers. "No, it's fine...I, I'm sorry, for everything Nita..for last night and-" His words dropped off when he saw the gold coin hanging around her neck and before he could stop himself, he was inches from her, his hand reaching up and holding the coin in his fingertips. "Where did you get this?" He turned the coin over, tracing the metal beneath his touch before he pulled back. There had been stories of deals much like what she was going through and the one to do it always left some sort of token to their victims. So she had made a deal to forget..Aurora had been right. Naveen took a step back from her, his eyes never leaving the coin. "That..you did make a deal. To forget me.." He stared at the floor for a moment as he traced over the thoughts in his head. There had to be some way for her reverse it, there had to be. "Did they give you a way to reverse it? Can you contact them?" His gaze moved up to hers, slowly becoming hardened at the fact that she had done something so stupid.

Nita sighed, her skin shivering a little as his hand brushed against her. "That's what I'm trying to remember...all I know is that I'm supposed to keep it safe." She said quietly. "I...I am so sorry...I don't know why I-" She broke off as another memory hit her, one where she was holding a bottle....and the man across from her...Daemon. "Daemon...Daemon, I need to remember." She said quietly as she took the coin in her hands and thought of Daemon in the room. She hoped the summoning would work, otherwise she'd feel and look like an idiot. Her hands shook as she tried to think of why she would have wanted to forget Naveen. From what she could remember he had treated her so well...why would she want to forget?

Naveen looked at her in confusion when she suddenly said another man's name. Wind suddenly gushed through the room, sending flowers and papers flying throughout the room in a whirlwind. Naveen gripped Nita by the waist and pulled her to him in a protective manner, his arms wrapping around her until the wind died down. When he looked up, another man stood across the room from them, a bored look on his face. Daemon sighed once he realized where he was and his gaze landed on Nita standing across from him. She looked just as confused as he thought she would and the man holding her in his arms looked even more so. He smirked as he gestured towards the gold necklace in her hands. "You called? Let me guess, you're ready for your memories now. But are you sure? You got rid of them for a reason." He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall as he awaited her response. It hadn't even been that long since their meeting but she seemed sure.

Nita gasped as wind billowed through the room and then Naveen was holding her. She clung to him and then watched with wide eyes as the other man appeared. "I know I did...and I was wrong. I never should have chosen to forget the one person in my life who has always been there for me. I didn't realize what my absence would do to him...and I was foolish. I let my emotions get the best of me...I know that now." She said and glanced at Naveen with a tender smile before she pulled away from him and moved towards Daemon. "I want my memories back, I want to remember him." She said with a gentle smile as she thought of Naveen. She reached up and took the chain off from around her neck that held the coin, "I've learned my lesson...and I want a second chance to make it right." She said as she held out the coin for Daemon to take.

Daemon nodded as Nita spoke, uncrossing his arms when she moved towards him. "As you wish. As soon as I touch that coin, your memories will be back. You'll also regain the power you had given in exchange, so you may feel a little woozy for a moment. I trust your little friend here will catch you, should you lose your balance." Daemon nodded over in Naveen's direction before stretching out his hand. When she gave him the okay, he pressed the coin into his palm and it glowed before vanishing from his hand. A golden mist formed in the center of his hand before flowing towards her, encircling her body before it floated around her head, dissipating as it returned her memories to her. Naveen watched with concern as the magic took over her and when she swayed on her feet, he was at her side in seconds, his hands steadying her by the waist. Daemon snapped his fingers, returning the power she had given him as payment. Once he was finished, he waited for her to regain her composure before nodding. "How do you feel?"

Nita watched as a golden mist appeared from Daemon's hand, where he had held the coin. She knew the mist was harmless but she still stiffened a little bit as it encircled her, before suddenly she felt it seep into her. Memories hit her hard and fast, like she was watching a replay of her life. It was so sudden that she stumbled a little bit, grateful that Naveen was there to steady her. She took a few breaths as she remembered what had driven her to make such a decision. "I...I'm so sorry." She whispered as she turned to look over at Naveen, her eyes shining with unshed tears. Seeing and knowing what her absence had done to him, really made her sad that she had been so careless. At Daemon's question, she turned to face him "I...I'm fine." She said eventually, though what she felt inside was much different. She stepped away from Naveen as if his touch had burned her. Hot shame filled her from her actions and she was too afraid to see what his reaction would be. "Thank you for restoring my memories." She said in as calm a voice as she could manage to Daemon, keeping her head held high as she spoke to him.

Naveen looked at her in confusion when she suddenly apologized but before he could say anything, she had pulled away like his mere presence upset her. He pulled his hands back, shoving them in his pockets before he turned and moved over to the dresser by the mirror. Daemon watched as Naveen pulled out some of Nita's normal clothes, his mouth frowning for a moment before turning his attention back to Nita. He nodded when she thanked him and waved his hand slightly. "It's fine. You did all the work. Now I don't want to see you again for a while, if at all. This should be lesson enough for you but should you need me again, you'll need that ritual." Daemon gave her a soft smile before turning like he was going to leave. He stopped for a moment and looked over at her. "Oh, and next time, try to do the ritual a little smoother. Otherwise I may have to teach you the proper way." He smirked before turning his back and his form disappeared into a black fog. Naveen glanced over his shoulder once the man was gone, holding a pair of Nita's clothes in his hands. "Nita...do you want me to take you home?"

Nita smiled at Daemon as he moved to leave, "I think I'll remember." She said gently and watched as he left before hearing Naveen's voice. She winced and turned around to look at him with a small smile. "We have to talk first, I'm sorry....I'm sorry for pushing you to have sex with me and then for getting upset about you being right. I never should have run off the way that I did..I was stupid and reckless and I just want to make things right between us. I thought that if I left, it would be easier for you...and I know now that I was only fooling myself. When I saw you that night...I could see something awful was going on but I couldn't remember you. I'd have dreams...it was almost like I was going insane...I can only imagine how you have felt over the past month. You have been the best thing in my life, and I almost lost you because I was being selfish. Please....please forgive me, I just want things to be...normal again." Nita said as she moved to sit down. Her heart was racing as she said all this and she kept her gaze on him as she spoke, trying to convey how honest she was in that moment. "I love you, and that will never change...I'm just sorry that I was too stupid not to realize it sooner." She said apologetically.

Naveen lowered his hands, setting the clothes back down on the dresser as she spoke. He kept his back to her as she spoke, feeling his muscles tense with every word she said. "It's not your fault Nita. I said some things that pushed you away and.." His words trailed off as he looked down at his hands before he turned to look at her. "This last month has been hell..I won't lie to you. I haven't seen Eric since you left and I looked for you everywhere. That night I found you was the night I had given up...You seemed so, different..so happy. I was going to leave you alone, since I figured you just didn't even want to be around me anymore but Aurora talked some sense into me. I'm sorry Nita..for everything I said and did to you. I should have been more considerate to your feelings." He moved over to her, kneeling on the floor before her as he took her hand in his. "You shouldn't be the one asking for forgiveness Nita. I should be begging for yours."

Nita listened to him with her heart racing, "I was far from happy...I was only pretending that I was." She said with her gaze downcast, only looking up as he knelt before her taking her hand in his own. "Naveen..of course I forgive you, just don't kneel." She said and moved slide down so she was seated next to him, not caring that she was getting her skirts wrinkled by doing so. "How can I make this up to you? How can I make things right?" She asked as she looked over at him, one strap sliding down off of her shoulder at the movement. "I wasn't lying with what I said earlier, you are the best person in my life Naveen...and I don't deserve you." She said quietly as she looked away again.

Naveen shifted to the side when she moved down next to him, his hand never letting go of hers. He raised one hand and pushed a loose strand of hair out of her face, taking her in. She was finally back..she had come back to him and he would never let her go again. When she asked what she could do, he shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. "You don't have to do anything. We both needed this.." His gaze shifted down to her shoulder, noticing how her strap had fallen down. When she looked away from him, Naveen took her chin in his hand, moving her gaze back to him. "Do you love this man Nita? If you do, I'll let you go through with this but if you don't, let me take you home. We can go back to the way it was before." He gave her a smile, leaning forward and pressing a kiss on her cheek.

Nita's breath caught as Naveen brushed her hair out of her face. "I wanted to love him...he's really sweet but he's not-" She broke off, having been about to say you. The last thing she wanted was to stir up old emotions. Someone knocked on the door and Nita stood up, "Babe you ready?" Eddie's voice echoed through the room, and Nita froze. She hadn't expected Eddie to swing by her room before the ceremony, "I need to tell him Naveen...it would be unfair for him to think I left him." Nita said and swallowed tightly before she crossed the room and unlocked the door. Eddie stood outside of her door, dressed in an outfit empathized all his features. "Babe, I was getting worried about you." Eddie said and before she could react he was kissing her. Nita pulled back and placed her hands on his chest, "Eddie...we have to talk." She said quietly as she looked up at him. A part of her broke then at the look that crossed his face, "Nita, what's wrong?" He demanded before his gaze moved and landed on Naveen. "Wait a minute, wasn't that the guy who was hanging around your room last night?" He demanded, his hands tensing on Nita's shoulders hard enough to leave marks. Nita pushed herself back, "Well yes but he's my brother! Can we talk alone?" She demanded, Eddie slowly looked away from Naveen to focus on her. "All right, but I don't like surprises." He stated and followed her out of the bridal room and into the hallway. "So your brother randomly shows up the day before your wedding day and now you're calling off the wedding?" Eddie hissed as he stared down at her. Nita almost flinched, "Look it's not what you're thinking-" Eddie slammed his fist into the wall next to Nita causing Nita to jump. "The hell it isn't! I've been patient with you Nita, I've stayed up with you through every dream. I talked to you when the only thing I wanted was you, but then he shows up and suddenly you're changing your mind?!" Eddie was nearly yelling at that point and Nita could only stare up at him, the words were ones she herself had thought. "I'm sorry...I wish I loved you, you deserve someone who can make you happy. Someone who isn't broken like I am." Nita stated quietly, she let out a sigh and took off the ring on her finger before she handed it to him. "Keep it...I know you love him Nita. I could see it in your eyes, hell that's the way I wish you would look at me." Eddie admitted before he pressed a kiss against her forehead. Nita let out a shaky breath as Eddie turned and left. She couldn't stop her sobs as she stared down at the ring in her hand.
