A little shiver ran through Jasmine's body as he slowly pulled out of her leaving her body aching with the absence of him not being inside her. A small smile lit up her face at his reaction to her pulling away, she never could get tired of how he was so perfect. "I think I might be falling for you." She breathed not even realizing that she had said it out loud until she heard her own voice. Jasmine had always promised herself that she would never be the kind of woman who fell in love, it was too risky for someone with her powers. Yet here she was confessing something that she wasn't entirely sure Phoebus would even want to hear, much less feel the same for her. |

Her words echoed in his mind as he looked down at her. Phoebus could tell she caught herself off guard by saying it, but he couldn't help the smile that took over his face. He lifted her chin up to his face, and stared into her eyes. It was hard to believe that this was the very woman he had met all that time ago, the woman that he had thought never would feel the same way about him as he did for her. He leaned down to meet her lips, their touch igniting his need once again. His arms wrapped around her, squeezing their bodies together in a comforting embrace before he moved his lips towards her ear and whispered. "I love you Jasmine."

Jasmine felt a smile grow on her lips at his admission, she had never been good with words so she moved her lips to gently kiss his cheek, "You're adorable sometimes you know that?" She pointed out as she dragged her nails lightly along the base of his neck. He was hers and nothing would change that, at least not anytime soon and Jasmine would make sure of that. "So how about we continue were we left off?" She offered with a small smile as she trailed her other hand down his chest. |

Phoebus growled softly in her ear as he felt her nails against his neck. He whisked her up in his arms, holding her like the princess she should be. "As you wish, my lady" His voice teased her as he carried her into the bedroom. Out of all of the times they had been together, tonight had to be his favorite. After years, he finally professed his love to her and now he knew that she was beginning to feel the same way about him. The night couldn't get any better.
He laid her gently on the bed as he captured her lips in a passionate embrace.

Jasmine's eyes widened as Phoebus picked her in a bridal sweep. "What's the occasion?" She asked, as she smiled up at him. As he laid her tenderly on her bed, she shifted so she could study him better. "What did I do to deserve you?" She asked softly as she raised one hand to tenderly stroke the side of his face. As he kissed her, she eagerly kissed him back before slowly pulling away. In her line of work, people like her never got the chance to be with someone who actually cared about them. "I don't want to spoil the mood but what if we're caught? I don't want you to get hurt because you know me." She said quietly her hand lightly running over his skin. It was a worry that haunted her dreams, more nights then ever before.

Phoebus gently leaned his head into her hand as she stroked his face. Her words made his smile fall, but he knew it was something they would have to talk about soon enough. He shifted on the bed so we was laying next to her, but kept one hand poised on her waist. "Don't worry about me. I will do anything to protect you." Using his other hand, he cupped the side of her face and kissed her lightly on the forehead. A long time ago, he had promised himself that he would keep her safe. If they were found out, he would go down with her. There was no way he was letting go of her now.

Jasmine shifted just slightly so she faced him there on the bed, "I don't care what happens to me...I care about you." She admitted softly. "When I first met you...I thought about killing you...but now after everything we've been through and how well you've treated me, I don't think I could ever watch you getting hurt. You're the only person I've allowed myself to get close too after all these years alone." She said with a sad smile. She leaned up and pressed a tender kiss against his lips, "Just promise me you'll be careful." She whispered against his lips as she pulled away briefly to meet his gaze. |

Phoebus chuckled softly but mostly to himself. He remembered that night like it was just yesterday; the night they met. It was not long after he became captain of the guard. "And aren't you glad you didn't?" He teased her, trying to lighten the mood that had come over them. Moving a strand of hair out of her face, he returned her kiss. "I promise..." His thumb moved lightly back and forth across her waist where his hand rested. He knew how rare it was for her to get close to someone and yet here he was. His life really sucked before he met her, in all honestly. Always working, always by the book. Now he felt alive. He didn't even want to imagine what life would be like without her. "You have to promise me too. I can't go back to the way I was before I met you...I'd rather die than do that..." The last words were mostly to himself, but he really meant it.

A small smile spread across her lips at his words but she still look entirely convinced, "Fine I promise...but that brings me to my next question. Would you still be ok with me doing my job?" She asked with a frown. If she kept having sex with the same person for two long then eventually their stamina wore down making them unable to do much of anything. That was why she had to wait for a good month or two before she could go back to the same person. On the other hand if she didn't have sex on a weekly basis...she wouldn't last for very long before she died. It made things hard especially with the King's latest proclamation, she had to be more careful with the people she chose to be with. |

Phoebus frowned at her question and pulled away a little bit. He knew getting into this how it was going to work, but as time went by, it was getting harder and harder to watch her be with another man. "Well you know that I don't like to share...but it's what you need, so I'm okay with it." He still didn't understand why she couldn't be just his. Waiting almost two months between each time they were together killed him. They had so much fun together and the sex was incredible, but when she was with someone else, he started making himself leave the room while she did her business. He knew it didn't mean anything to her but it still made him jealous.

Jasmine felt her heart sink a little as he pulled away from her, it had been something on her mind for a few months now ever since she had started to realize her feelings for him. "I don't like it anymore then you do." She confessed as she sat up wrapping her arms around her legs. "If I had my way, I'd be just Jasmine..that way I wouldn't hurt you." She said as she glanced down at him. It had gotten so bad that she hadn't even been able to really enjoy sex with anyone else...which was a major problem. In order to survive she had to climax...or at the very least gain some pleasure from the experience, which was just a conundrum for her. "If it was you in my shoes...I don't think I could handle it either. I hate knowing that you have to put up with this other side of me." She added with a sigh. |

Phoebus sat up and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I wouldn't change a thing about you, so don't say things like that." He moved her hair away from her neck and lightly kissed her. "If it helps...maybe you could just imagine that it's us when you're with someone else. That or..." His voice stopped at the words he was about to say. Maybe if they weren't together anymore, she'd be able to go back to the way she was, but just the thought of it made him crazy. He hugged her tighter, hoping that she knew what he was trying to say without making him say it. The thought of losing her was terrible, but her health was more important than anything.

Jasmine glanced over at him and returned his kiss, "Don't ask me to leave you...I can't go back to the way I was before. I'll just pretend it's you." She said as she rested her head against his chest. "Just know I don't like it unless it's really you." She said as she looked up at him with a sad smile. She let out a shaky sigh, being with him was the only time she ever felt like she could let her walls down. "I want this relationship to mean something, I've never had that with anyone. Until now anyway and being with you has been the best thing I've ever had." She said honestly. |

Phoebus was glad that she didn't like that idea. He ran his fingers through her hair as his arms tightened around her body. She was the only one he had been involved with throughout his entire life. Relationships were something he has never been good at, but with her, he was willing to try. "We can work through this...we can work through anything." He smiled and kissed her neck softly.

A small smile lit her face at his words, "Thank you...I know I'm not the best when it comes too talking about feelings. Or anything for that matter, so thank you for being patient with me." Jasmine said as she glanced up at him. "Now where were we?" She asked musingly a downright dirty look appearing as she smiled at him. One hand moved to run down the side of his leg as she shifted so she was facing him. Now that she had told him about everything that she had been worrying about she felt much better.
