Chel had been watching the entrance of the cave for a few weeks now, it seemed like the dragon had a few friends but she was becoming predictable...and after the rumors had struck Chel knew it would be a good idea to take down the dragon. She had come prepared, and before she stepped into the cave she used a spell that could reveal traps and false entrances it was something that she used on the occasion and this dragon was good. An eyebrow went up as she noted how well guarded the cave was, it was no wonder the dragon had become predictable these spells were good and if it weren't for Che's training she might have accidentally triggered something. As it was, she was able to avoid most of the spells and traps until she reached the main cavern...this dragon had to have been around for a few centuries judging by all the gold. Either that or she had stolen it from someone, Chel made a face and silently made it towards the back and there lying down was the dragon...she was in her dragon form. Judging by the swell of her belly, she was also carrying children which was another reason for Chel to act fast baby dragons could be just as deadly as their parents and quicker to boot. The dragon was blessedly sound asleep, but Chel knew that could all change in moments if not seconds depending on how fast she was. She withdrew one of her handheld axes and a dagger as she neared the area, but a piece of gold slipped from under her footing and made a loud noise as it slid down the treasure. Chel let out a breath and almost jerked as the dragon suddenly moved, she was fast and Chel only barely had time to dodge a swipe from the dragon's claws as she tried to attack her. Moving fast, Chel used the dagger in one of her hands and ran it through one of her claws causing the dragon to howl in pain before Chel was knocked off her feet by the dragon's tail. She landed with a grunt, her other hand still on her axe as the dragon glared down at her with flames issuing from her mouth she wasn't close enough to burn Chel just yet however. "It's rather low to attack a dragon while she's sleeping." The dragon hissed as she used her claw to pin Chel in place while she glared down at her. "I would have done it sooner but I had to get to know you first." Chel said with an almost smile before she swung her axe and buried it in the dragon's shoulder blade, causing the dragon to fall back letting out a cry of pain. Chel stood up once the dragon's claw had slid off of her chest and moved towards the dragon, "That was almost too easy." She said as she stepped closer and pressed the axe in deeper, causing the dragon to let out another cry.

Naveen crossed the river, heading to Aurora's cave with a box of chocolates in hand. He hadn't seen her since that night he showed up drunk at her cave..in fact, most of that night was a blur. The only thing he could remember correctly was that she had helped him come to his senses and now he had Nita back in his life. It would have been much faster to just fly there but he had promised Nita that he would be more careful during the day. Just as he jumped across some rocks, Naveen felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground. Thankfully he was almost out of the river when it happened so only his knees and lower were soaked with water. He tugged at his cloak until it revealed his shoulder but when he looked, there was nothing there. His fingertips traced over the skin as he stared in confusion, that is, until a second wave of pain took over. He doubled over on the ground, clenching his teeth. Naveen couldn't figure out what was happening, where this pain was coming from until a sudden realization washed over him. "Son of a bitch.." He pushed himself to his feet and ran through the woods, dodging branches and jumping over rocks in his way. A loud cry echoed before him and he cursed, willing his feet to go faster. Aurora was in trouble, that much he could tell by the sounds of her cries and the constant pain shooting through his shoulder. He raced through the entrance of the cave, not even caring if he would set off any traps in the process. His feet stumbled over the treasures that littered the floor before coming to a sudden stop. Before him stood a young girl before Aurora's dragon form, pressing an axe into the scaly skin. Anger flashed through him until his eyes changed to their burning orange and a roar echoed through the cave. Within moments, he had transformed into his dragon form as his anger took over and brought down his paw, flinging the body of the younger girl away from Aurora. His form moved throughout the cave until he was positioned in front of Aurora, his tail circling her body in a protective barrier. Smoke curled from his nostrils as his orange gaze bore down on the attacker. "What the hell do you think you're doing!?"

Chel had just been about to slit the dragon's throat, when the young man that had visited the dragon a few nights ago appeared. Her eyes widened as the man suddenly shifted into dragon form, this had to be other dragon's mate. It was the only explanation for what was going on, Chel cautiously picked herself up. The dragon looked and felt wrong...like he wasn't a natural type of dragon. "What did it look like I was doing? I was ridding the world from scum like her, and you!" Chel snapped as she stood to her full height, not caring if the male dragon attacked her then and there. Her hands unhooked another handheld axe that was strapped to her back as she stared up at the dragon. "But now it looks like I get to take out the whole fucking family." She continued before she flung her axe straight at him,

Naveen growled at her words and when she flung her axe at him, he simply lifted his paw to keep it from hitting anything important, not even phased that it dug deep into his lower arm. He pulled it out and flung it against the cave wall until it dug inches into the stone so she wouldn't be able to pull it back out. His tail swung around, flinging the woman to the wall and he used his other paw to hold her in place. Flames curled from his lips before he shifted back into his human form, his hand wrapped around her throat as he kept her pressed against the wall with ridiculous strength. "Let me tell you one thing that may save your pathetic little life down the road. You do not attack dragons like that. You're form is weak and I swear if I see you around this particular dragon or her children again, I will rip your throat out myself." His eyes flashed blood red before shifting back to orange. He brought his face down lower to hers and spoke in a whisper so Aurora wouldn't hear him. "I have had dibs on this one for centuries and you cannot take that away from me." Naveen sneered down at the woman. If Aurora had to die, he had to be the one to do it. Though because of everything she had done for him the past months, he was leaning more towards the idea of leaving her alone, but this little girl didn't need to know that. He was getting soft..it had been a long time since he had attacked his own fair share of dragons.

Chel had not been expecting the other dragon to take the blow. This dragon was obviously the stronger of the two, as she discovered when he flung her back against the cave wall. The back of her head exploded in pain from the sudden movement, and she felt dazed as the dragon suddenly shifted back into human form. She jerked as he held her up by her throat, his grip was far too strong for her to wriggle out of...not that she let this stop her. "Then why haven't you killed her yet?" She growled and then chuckled as a realization hit her, "Oh I see...oh that is too good, you dare call me weak when you...you can't kill her. Is it because she's pregnant? When her filthy spawn are born, you'll have to deal with the damage!" She said as she glared at him defiantly. Her knee went up and she kneed him in the groin. One thing that she was known for her was determination never to give up. "You call yourself a dragon hunter? You're more like a dragon lover!" She spat as she punched him in the face.

Naveen bit his tongue at her words. She was right but he didn't need to let her know that. When she suddenly kneed him in the crotch, Naveen grunted as his grip tightened on her, refusing to let go. Though when she punched him in the face, he stumbled back, his hand flying up to his face. The corner of his mouth busted and he wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth with his thumb. Naveen glanced down at the blood before flicking his gaze back to her, his gaze burning red once again. Within moments, Naveen threw the girl to the ground, pinning her body beneath his. When she struggled beneath him, his grip tightened on her wrists until he could feel her pulse beating fast under his touch. He kept her in place with one hand and used his other to slap her hard across the face. Just as he leaned down to yell at her once more, he heard Aurora calling his name from behind him and his movements slowed. He glared down at the woman but as soon as his gaze landed on the necklace around her neck, his grip loosened on her. It had been a necklace he hadn't seen in years and never expected to see again at all. "Where did you get that?" His hand moved down and took hold of the necklace between his fingertips, staring at the golden locket as it glittered in the light.

Chel should have been expecting the man to react, damn it she had really pushed it this time. She could tell by how his eyes had turned a dark red, the smug look on face disappeared as he moved and had her pinned to the ground. She knew she was going to have bruises and she jerked as he slapped her across the face. A cough left her as she struggled to get air into her lungs. "Naveen! She's had enough!" Chel's eyes widened at the name and felt fear and bile as the man loosened his grip on her. It couldn't be...yet her fears were confirmed when the man saw the locket. "It was my mother's." Chel growled as she sat up, her hand shakily wiping the blood that she could feel matting the back of her head. The wound wasn't as deep as she had feared, but she would be feeling the effects for a few weeks. "Why do you care anyway?" She asked as she glared at him.

Naveen's eyes widened at her words and he stumbled back, wiping another drop of blood off of his lip. He stared at her for a moment and shook his head before moving to Aurora's side. Naveen waited for her to shift down to her human form before he took off his cloak and wrapped it tightly around her shoulder to clean up her blood. He ignored the woman behind him for a moment until he was sure she was stable and he stood her up, whispering in her ear. "Go get cleaned up, I'll come check up on you in a minute." Naveen nudged her to another room and when he was sure she was gone, he turned and glared at the young woman. "That was a necklace I wasn't planning on seeing ever again. Who was your mother?" He slowly took steps towards her until he had her pinned up against the wall once more. Naveen had only had two serious relationships in his life, Aurora being one of them. This woman had the necklace he had given to the other.

Chel watched as the female dragon left, before turning her gaze back to Naveen. She let out a grunt as he shoved her up against the wall, "You haven't answered my question yet! Why the fuck do you care?!" Chel demanded as she shoved him away from her. "And stop manhandling me! My mother's name was Evangeline ok! She gave me the necklace before she got killed by some fucking dragon!" Chel snapped as she stuffed the locket back to hide under her neckline. "She told me something once about my father, like how he was a dragon hunter. It's partly why I became one in the first place." Chel said flatly as she stared at him, as if daring him to deny her statement.

Naveen slapped her when she cursed at him and pushed him away. "Do not speak to me like that young lady." His gaze hardened before he took a step back, biting his tongue at her words. So this was the daughter of Evangeline...He ran a hand through his hair and paced for a moment, though his whole body froze when she told him who her father had been. His stomach churned and he felt like he was going to be sick. Evangeline had been a part of his life years ago. Though when he met her, he was already a weredragon so he just used his old identity as a dragon hunter. A sigh slipped passed his lips when he turned to look at her. "I gave that necklace to her, that's why I care."

Chel flinched when he slapped her again, "Stop slapping me and I'll stop cursing." She snapped as she ran a hand along her lip where one of his rings had split her upper lip. She froze at his other words and raised her head to look at him, "Are you seriously trying to say you are my father, cause if so I'm not in a mood to listen to you." She said with a roll of her eyes as she moved to grab her axe that was still on the ground. "If you really want to know the truth, you should have come back." She said over her shoulder as she cleaned her axe with a cloth meant just for that before she hooked it back on her belt.

Naveen frowned at her words and shoved his hands in his pockets as he paced. "You and me both kid..." He mumbled to himself before glancing over at her. Her words gave him a pang of guilt. Naveen had left but he never knew that she had gotten pregnant..."Back then, I was still a hunter. When I heard rumors of dragons a kingdom over, I left but when I came back, your mother was gone. I swear to you that I didn't know she was pregnant or I would have found you both." He turned to look at her, his guilt showing clearly in his eyes. All his life he had wanted children but after Aurora, he never thought it was possible. Now all of a sudden he had a daughter and she was exactly like him when he had been that age. "That locket...at the very top, there is a hidden button right before the chain connects. If you don't believe me, press it and you'll see." Naveen had the necklace specially made for Evangeline. He was constantly worried about her getting hurt because of his past so he made sure the locket couldn't be opened without a secret mechanism. Inside, he placed a small picture of the two of them. She was laughing in the picture as Naveen had his arms wrapped around her, holding her in a loving embrace. It had been her favorite...

Chel sighed and pulled out the locket, before she found the button Naveen had told her about. She ran a finger over the groove and bit down on her bottom lip, did she really want to see if the guy was being honest. All her life, her mother had never taken that necklace off, but she had seen her looking at it from time to time. When Chel had asked her about her father, she had never really been given a straight answer. But her mother had made it clear that she had loved her father very much. She finally pushed down on the button and stared down at the picture nestled inside. Her mother was laughing, when Chel had seen her last there had been no smiles...just sadness. The man next to her was indeed Naveen, she wasn't entirely sure what she thought of that. "So you're a dragon hunter turned dragon huh?" She asked dryly as she shut the locket and glanced over at Naveen.

Naveen nodded and glanced down at the ground. "By that woman actually...we were involved once, much like how I was with you mother, but that was a long time ago. I used to be human like you but that had to have been almost...two centuries ago?" He frowned at realizing how long it had been. If he was still human, he would have been long gone. "I grew up in a village of dragon hunters and I became one just like my father. My sister..not so much. She tried but she wasn't cut out for it...she still isn't." He chuckled softly to himself at the memories of Nita back then. He wondered how she would react when she found out about this girl.

"And yet you're protecting the dragon who turned you? What's the deal with that?" Chel asked as she regarded Naveen with a raised eyebrow. At the mention of his sister, she relaxed but only slightly "I have an aunt?" She asked quietly as she took in that information. The beginnings of a headache were starting and she rubbed her head. The wound on the back of her head must have been worse then she had originally thought. All this information probably wasn't helping matters either. It was a near overload, and Chel was already high strung as it was.
