Naveen had just been about to protest Eric's words when he caught a glimpse of Nita wince out of the corner of his eye. "How can you help me Eric, really? Because the woman I love is over there in pain right now because of my idiotic father and I can't do a goddamn thing about it!" His voice broke and he sucked in a sharp breath. He gripped his hair and tugged sharply as he paced around, trying to keep his composure. "I don't hate you Nita..I never could...I hate myself for putting you through this hell and I don't even know how to get you out of it! But now I don't think you want out..."

Nita let out a shaky breath as the pain slowly eased, "Every choice I ever make only seems to wind up hurting you Naveen. I love you so much...if we had had this conversation a few months ago I would have gone with you anywhere. Now that I'm pregnant...I know that Nero will never let me leave." She glanced down at her stomach, she knew if she told Naveen that she was beginning to also have feelings for Nero that he would not be able to handle it. "You have no idea how much I wish this child was ours....that we could have the life we always dreamed of sharing. I hate that I've been such a...disappointment to you Naveen. I do love you, Gods I love you so much." She broke off with a shaky sigh. "You deserve to be happy far more then anyone I've ever met." She stepped towards Naveen and placed a gentle hand on his face as she smiled at him sadly. "Please don't hate yourself for what's happened between us Naveen. When I first saw you today...it reminded me of when I chose to forgot you. I don't want to forget you ever again Naveen, you have always been there for me. I'll never be able to repay you for that, not ever...I love you too much for that." She said, her eyes shining with unshed tears before she leaned forward and kissed him tenderly on the lips. It was a bittersweet kiss, not rushed like the ones they had shared earlier. She slowly pulled away from the kiss and stared at him as if trying to memorize his features. "Don't forget me Naveen." She whispered quietly before she reluctantly lowered her hand and turned to leave.

Naveen felt every muscle in his body suddenly relax when she kissed him, the taste of her filling him. A single tear managed to break free and slid down his cheek. He felt so useless that he couldn't even help her and now..he couldn't even speak. Naveen watched as she walked away and the moment she was gone, he lowered his gaze to the floor. "I'm sorry Eric..." he didn't looks at the man as he turned, his feet stumbling up the stairs. When he heard Eric trying to follow him, he held up his hand. "Stop...just, leave me be." His voice seemed broken and his body felt heavy as he climbed the stairs. He pushed open the door of his room and his body fell lazily onto the bed.

Eric gave Nita a reassuring smile as she left, she seemed on the verge of more crying and so was Naveen. He looked over at Naveen when he apologized to him, he hadn't been expecting an apology and felt a little guilty. As Naveen started to go up the stairs, Eric followed after him not bothering to listen to Naveen's request. He gave Naveen a few moments to get himself on the bed, before he joined his side. "You can't get rid of me that easily." He pointed out as he joined Naveen on the bed, he gave him enough room so he wouldn't crowd him. "Like I said earlier.....I'm here for you Naveen." He said quietly and gave him a small smile of his own.

Naveen had his face buried in the pillow when he heard Eric right behind him and make his way into the room. He felt the bed shift as Eric sat down and Naveen didn't move for several moments. "I don't know how you can help..." Naveen shifted slightly, his body moving closer to Eric before he laid his head on the man's chest. His arm draped across his waist and he pulled his body into his until they were flush together. "But this is a start..." He didn't look up at Eric as he nuzzled his face into his chest, breathing in his smell. Eric was always a comfort to him, even when they weren't together and today, he needed that.

Eric sighed and rolled his eyes as Naveen cuddled up next to him. "Just get some sleep Naveen." He said with a small smile as he loosely held onto Naveen. Hopefully Naveen would start feeling better, he'd be there for him every step of the way until then. He wasn't sure what would happen with Nita and Naveen, but he hoped things would work out for both of them.
