Nero frowned at her words and pulled her hands away from her legs. "Stop it. It wasn't your fault." He brought her hands up to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on them. As she explained what happened, his gaze darkened and he sighed. Her body must be changing from Evangeline's blood...but how, he wasn't sure. "You mentioned that...but you don't have to worry about that anymore. She can't control you and I won't give you anymore blood. I should have known better." He noticed the claw marks on her legs and gently ran his hand over her legs, healing any blemishes she created. Nero sent a few calming pulses through her as he tried to help her calm down.

Chel looked up at Nero from under her lashes as he took her hands in his. She gave him a small smile as he kissed the back of her hands, "You were just trying to help...I can't be mad at you for that." She said gently. "I'm not sure about everything that she did to me...she liked using her magic on me." She added with a little frown. Her body slowly eased as he healed the little scratches on her legs from where her nails had dug in. "Thank you." She said quietly. He was also sending a calming energy through her entire body. She sighed out, "Do you think I'll turn into her? I mean what if I start hurting people simply because I can? Or what if my face changes? It....it happened to me a few times when I stayed with her...whenever I got too upset or whenever she'd threaten you." The first time her face had contorted, Chel hadn't quite been aware of it until Evangeline had showed her through a mirror. The face looking back at her had terrified her more then anything she had ever seen before. It scared her that she had that kind of potential locked away inside her just waiting for her to lose control.

Nero's eyes widened at her question and he immediately shook his head. "Of course not love. She may have given you her blood but she can't change who you are. I can't take away what she did to you, but I may be able to help you control it. That way you won't lose control like Naveen did with his new powers." He gave her a soft smile before pulling her to his chest, holding her against him in an embrace. "If you want to talk about what she did to you, you can tell me. I can still take those memories from you if you'd like, along with the ones she returned of Ruby." He placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head, running his fingers through her hair. Just the fact that Evangeline had used him against her like that angered him more than he'd like to admit. He would have loved to get a piece of her after it was all over...maybe he still could if he ever summoned back her ghost or something...just to torture her like she tortured Chel.

Chel nodded slowly, enjoying the feel of his arms wrapped around her. "A lot happened when I was with her...some of which I don't want you to ever know. I feel so ashamed of myself especially for enjoying some of what she did to me. She'd give me a potion on the times when she didn't give me her blood and it was just as bad...only I was more aware of what she was doing. The worst part was that I began to look forward to her using the potion...it made me feel so alive." She shuddered just from thinking of it. "I don't want you to see how I changed...it was only three weeks that I spent with her, but it felt like a lifetime. When I was younger she'd torture me with other methods, but she loved using me as her sex toy. At first I fought her but then eventually I gave in...it didn't hurt as much that way. She broke me Nero...I'm not the same person that I was when she took me, and I doubt I'll ever be the same again." She quietly admitted, her expression becoming more haunted as she spoke.

Nero stiffened as Chel explained what happened, even more so when she brought up the potion. The more Chel revealed about Evangeline, the more it reminded him of what he had done to Nita and Naveen growing up. It had been a potion that he had created with Ruby, one she must have shared with her so called 'lover.' Even the way that Evangeline had used her was just like he had used Nita and he frowned. Though her words caught his attention again and he pulled her into his chest, his hand gently rubbing her back. "Nothing could make me not love you Chel. I don't care if you changed, I still want to be with you..I want to help you, any way that I can." Nero pulled back and lifted her chin with his hand, pressing a kiss against her lips.

Chel kissed him back eagerly, "Thank you...you have no idea what that means to me." She said after a moment as she pulled back. If he had pulled away she was sure she wouldn't have been able to handle it. She let out a shaky breath and rested her head on his shoulder, "I'd like to have the memories removed...make it seem like it never happened. Hell I wish I'd never known my own mother...does that make me a bad person?" She asked quietly as she glanced up at him in sudden concern. Of course she wasn't so sure Nero could make her forget Evangeline, after all she had been raised by the woman. "You don't have to make me forget her but...I'd like to forget the past three weeks. I mean the only thing that made it somewhat bearable was the knowledge that I'd see you when I feel asleep. If I hadn't had that then I really don't know what I would have done." She continued with a small frown as she thought about it. Nero had changed so much from when she had first met him and he had proven to her at least that he was a better man. "Thank you for finding me...and for keeping me company." She said as she slid one hand up and gently cupped his face before she kissed him again.

Nero ran a hand over her shoulder as she leaned against him. "I'll try to do much more than that love.." He kissed her once more before laying her body back like he had the first time he took her memories. His fingers ran through her hair as he tried to make her as comfortable as he could. He hovered over her body before leaning down and pressed his lips against hers. Though this time...it was different. She had told him just to take the last three weeks but he planned on doing more. Slowly, the memories started to disappear from her mind. The last three weeks faded but he took more all the way to before Naveen disappeared. The last memories she would remember of her mother would be her death all those years ago and he locked away the horrible ones from before that. He kept at it until he reached the memories of Ruby taking her as a child and locked those away too. He would gladly have taken them but he could feel his powers reaching their capacity. His muscles shook as his skin started to pale when he suddenly pulled away from the kiss and a black smoke passed from her into him. Nero let out a shaky breath and then it was all over. His body shifted off to the side of her so his weight wouldn't crush her and he leaned into the pillows, suddenly wanting to just fall asleep and not wake up for a long while. It had been a long time since he had used that much power in one short sitting but he tried to make it as fast as possible for her. "There...all better.." Nero sighed and smirked over at her, his hand gently cupping her face.

Chel kissed him back as he gently laid her back onto the bed, she trusted him and knew that he'd take care of her. Then he was kissing her again and she could tell that he was doing a lot more then what she had been expecting. The memories of the last three weeks faded, and then he went even further and erased the years of abuse at the hands of her mother. At the end of it when he finally pulled away, she felt more carefree then she had in her entire life. She could tell that removing the memories had taken quite a toll on Nero and she laid a gentle hand over his. "Thank you...I don't know how I can repay you." She said gently as she pressed a soft kiss against the palm of his hand. She curled up next to him and rested her hand on his chest, "You look like you could use a nap." She said gently, she wouldn't mind sleeping by his side until he had fully recovered, he'd earned it after all and much more besides. Nero was constantly surprising her and this was no exception, "I love you." She whispered her smile warm and tender as she snuggled into him.

Nero leaned into her touch and slid his arms around her body, pulling her closer to him. The transfer took more energy than he was used to and he hated that they would lose another night together. "Just a short one.." He nuzzled his face into her as she snuggled up next to him and he breathed in her scent. Never before would he have thought that he'd be so dedicated to a woman after his wife's death, much less his granddaughter. Though he loved her and he knew that she loved him too. "I love you Chel..." Nero whispered against her skin, leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss against her lips before he slowly faded off into sleep. It didn't take long for Chel to follow and they lay curled up in her bed sound asleep for the rest of the night.
