It seemed like ever since Alice's father had agreed to let her explore the city now and again, it was all Alice wanted to do. Wendy felt like she really couldn't blame her, though. For so long, all she knew was what was on her father's property. At least now, she could see what life was like for other people. They had even managed to make a few friends. That made both girls very happy.
"Wow, the gates are so big in person," Alice said, staring at them wide-eyed. "It must take a ton of men to open it."
"Ten, I think," Wendy said, looking at them as well. "Maybe fifteen. I heard some of your father's guards talking about it the other day." She gave a little smile. "I think that was what made me decide to suggest you seeing it. It's amazing to look at."
Alice smiled. "Maybe you should listen to the guards gossip more often, if you gives you nice ideas like these," Alice said.

A little doggie strolled along down the streets and avenues. She was caring a ball of pink thread, that her masters's mother Athena requested to take home. The ball smelled nice, but holding it felt nasty on the tongue. Angel put it on the ground and sat for a minute down to scratch herself a little. Unfortunatly the ball stumbled and rolled down the hill. Angel rushed, as fast as she could, chasing the ball. Finally she got it and stopped right at the feet of the blonde-haired little girl.

When Eilonwy and Taran were walking down the streets of the area, he could see the tall gates from where he was. "Whoa, look did." He commented, as his eyes were widening as though he was shocked from what he saw. From afar, they did look pretty small, but, after going up close, they did look huge. When Eilonwy saw the gates, she admired the texture of them; they were tall yet beautiful. She nor Taran had any idea on how many men it would take to open a huge gate like this; in her mind, it could be at least twenty. As they were walking, Taran did see two familiar females that they bumped into once before. "Look, look." He exclaimed, and dragged his sister to see Wendy and Alice. When walking up to them, she noticed that there was a small dog walking around and she giggled as she stated to pet her. "Why, aren't you just so charming and cute." She cooed, as pets the puppy gently. She wished that mother could afford something this cute, but, she had no idea on how much money this dog was and she assumed that she was pretty pricy.

Wendy and Alice's gazing was soon interrupted by two things. Well, three things, technically. A ball soon came into view, rolling along the path, with a little dog chasing after it. At almost the exact same time, Eilonwy and Taran appeared. Alie smiled brightly at seeing her new friends. "Taran, Eilonwy, hi!" she said, waving.
"Hey guys," Wendy said with a smile of her own. Of course, it was hard to concentrate for long when you had a cute dog at your feet. Eilonwy and Alice fell to cooing and petting it at once. Wendy smiled again. Alice had a weakness for cute fuzzy animals.
"Can we keep her, Wendy? Please, please, please?" Alice begged.
"Alice, you already have a horse and a rabbit. i don't think we can add a dog to the mix," Wendy said. "Besides, she looks too well-fed to be a stray. I think she has an owner of some sort." She looked around for a moment, wondering if the dog's owner was nearby. Maybe they should look for him, or her.

When Angel finally grabed the ball a group of kids surrounded her immediately. Children petted and cooed around her so much, that she began wagging her tail from side to side, snuffling with pleasure. When one of the girls begged the other one to became Angel's new owner, the dog dropped the ball from her mouth and said with a human voice, "Oh, yes, I already have a master!" She tilted her head to one side, "My name is Angel, my master Miguel gave me that name". She smiled and asked, "What are your names?"

The two siblings saw that the little dog was being petted by Alice and Wendy as well and Taran quickly gave her a quick wave and then goes back to petting her. Elionwy thought it was just really cute to see the dog wagging its tail from side to side, and then she heard the dog talking in human form. She knew that the dog had a master because of the ball in its mouth. Taran then heard the dog talking and was a little jumped when she was talking in human form; he and Eilonwy were talking animals as well since they are shape shifters so, no surprise there. When the dog asked for their names, they decided to go first. "Taran and this is my sister, Eilonwy." "Hello, Angel." She greeted, and pets her head again.

While Eilonwy and Taran were used to talking animals, Wendy and Alice were not. Sure, they had read about them in books, but that was different from seeing one in person. Alice gave a little yelp of surprise and Wendy's eyes widened slightly, although she wasn't nearly as startled. A talking dog wasn't too much of a surprise, considering that she could make things move with her mind.
"Um...since when do the dogs around here talk?" Alice asked.
"Trust me Alice, if the rumors I've heard about the creatures living in the forest are true, a talking dog should be the least of your worries," Wendy said. The dog introduced herself at that point, so Wendy figured she ought to do the same. "I'm Wendy, and that's Alice." She pointed towards her friend, who only gave a wave in response. Seeing a talking dog was still blowing her mind away. "So...does Miguel know that you can talk?" she asked. If he did, she wondered if he just didn't mind, or maybe he had some supernatural quirk as well. Maybe he was a wizard and cast a spell on Angel to make her talk. That would be interesting.
