James sat on the floor of his cell, his back pressed up against the wall as he stared off into space. It had only been a few days since Ariel's visit but the memories were still as clear as they would have been if it had happened only a few hours earlier. The way her body shivered, the way his father touched her. He could still feel his father's weight under his grip when he had pulled him to the bars. How could his father do that to her? To him? Anger flashed through his body, soon followed by a stab of pain through his chest that made him push that anger away once again. This transformation was getting more and more irritating by the minute. He couldn't get angry anymore otherwise he might complete it and he couldn't do that, not when he was locked up on here. Somehow he had managed to hold it off for three months, which was longer than he had expected, but it was getting harder to do now. Every little emotion seemed to spur the process even faster. He leaned forward and placed his arms over his knees before bowing his head, resting it in the cradle he had made. It drove him crazy being far away from Ariel this long and knowing all the she's going through when he's not there broke his heart.

With a metal clank, the door of the prison cell opened, and three men made there way into the chamber. One was guarding the door to a room, while two others were holding a tall and thin woman by her arms. She was wearing a long stiff shirt that was sticking out of her as if it were made of card paper. Her hair and her whole body was a totall mess. Her mouth was gagged with a strip of linen, her wrists were red and a little swollen, probabbly from being bound for a long time. She was unconscious. Without any explanation guards chained her to the wall and leaved the chamber. Just a moment later, from behind the door came the voice of one of the guards, " I'm sorry that this have happened to you, sir. You shouldn't be here! I'm sure you are innocent in this fiasco but, please, for your own good, keep clear of that woman." The stranger hesitated for a while and then spoke again, "This is a forced measure, I... I'm sorry, sir, I can't stay here any longer! Be safe, sir!" The voice trailed off, and the mysterious stranger disappeared without introducing himself...

James looked up as three guards flooded the room, the limp body of a woman being dragged between them. They made their way into the cell and chained the woman to the wall without even saying a word to him. When they left the woman's side, he recognized her as the princess' cousin and his heart sank. It almost didn't register when one of the guards spoke to him. "It's fine really, you know how my father can be." His eyes lingered on the girl and he frowned as they explained how it was a forced measure. "Hang on, that's ridiculous, she's harmless. At least let her loose while she's locked up in here." His words went ignored as the guard suddenly left. They all seemed terrified of that woman, but to him, she looked as innocent as anyone else. Once he was sure the guards were long gone, James scooted over to the woman's side and gently shook her shoulder. "Hey, are you alright?" She wasn't responding and that made him worry. Before he could stop himself, James flicked out of his claws and picked the locks of the chains holding the woman captive. After he got her free, he leaned her against the wall and kept a hand on her arm to keep her steady. "Megara, come on, give me something." He took off her gag with his other hand and tried to wake her.
