Megara spent the whole night without any food and water, here, down alone in this empty little chamber, that for sure she should call "home" from now on. Megara give a sigh and shook her wrists to try and alleviate the pressure from the cuffs. Usless. Her wrist were chained tightly behind her back, for safety. The girl clumsily rose from the dirty floor, she was sitting on, and looked out of the window. "What kind of danger are you talking about?", she asked herself outloud and frowned out of anger, "I'm NOT dangerous! Please, listen, I know, I'm guilty, but let me see Thumbeling for one last time!" There she stood, shaking with fear and anger. "SOMEBODY HEARS ME!! Ugh! If only you did something with Lina I!!.." Megara shouted, then quickly closed her mouth and stopped talking. She tried to concentrate. The seconds passed slowly, and time appeared to be standing still. It was quite cold down in the chamber, but Meg's forehead was covered with sweat. Her fingers were shaking. Finally, her arms became a slightly bluish color, she tried to grab something useful from Kholat, that strange timeless world, where she managed to lock Erida up, and, yes, she susceeded. Something metallic fell to the floor with a light clang. A spark of hope shone in Meg's eyes. "A picklock?!" No, just a ring. Megra looked closely and gasped. No, it wasn't a regular ring. it was her mother's. Megara carefully picked up the ring from the grownd and knelt down on both knees. She cried, "I'm... I'm sorry, mom..." Tears fell down from her cheeks. Helplessly, she tightened the grip of her hand around the ring she was holding. "Lina, your Majecty, everybody... I'M, I'M SO SORRY!" As soon as the words left her mouth, Megara jolted and her head dropped limply. She shook a little and when looked up out of the little window under the ceiling. "I'm sorry..."

Lina had never hated her dress as much as she did in this very moment. The length was completely impractical when sneaking around. To be fair, it wasn't something that was usually on her agenda. She tightened the cloak around her neck, hoping to obscure her looks. Phoebus, the guard, had already sneaked her inside, but that was all he could do for her besides telling her where Megara's cell was. Lina had been on her own for the last minute, but it felt like an hour as she tried to avoid any other guards or attract the attention of any other cellmates there may be nearby.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, Lina saw someone inside a cell. She crawled closer, minding her dress as much as she could, and recognized the figure in the cell. "Me - - " Lina called out, but then smacked her hand over her mouth, muffling her voice. Don't shout, you fool! She reminded herself and looked around. She couldn't hear or see anyone nearby, but she still waited in silence for a couple of minutes before she dared crawl all the way to Megara's cell. "Meg!" she whispered and grabbed at the bars. "It's me; Lina!"

Megara raised her head in fear, looking at the figure approaching her from the distance. Unfortunately, the room was too dark to make out any details, but Meg felt confident that the figure was a woman. She seemed to move with a slow and almost imperceptible motion toward Meg's cell. The young girl's heart skipped a bit as she heard a familiar voice, calling for her. "Lina," Megara whispered, and in a fast move, she got up on her feet. "Oh, Lina! I'm so glad to see you!" Megara choked, a tear traveled down her cheek. She leaned against the bars with her cheek, touching her friend's hands. "B-but... H-how did you get here?"

Lina grinned brightly when Meg recognized her and she let the hood of her cloak fall down. "Phoebus helped me, one of the guards here." she explained and put her arm through the bars to touch Megara's cheek. "My dear, you're awfully cold!" she bellowed and took her cloak off her body. She moved it through the bars for Megara and moved it over her shoulders. "I must take it with me when I leave, my dear friend, so that no one will know I was here. I fear they would punish you for my actions, but maybe it can warm you up just a little bit."

Megara heightened his shoulders to make herself feel better and gave a sad smile, "T-thank you, Lina." She sighed and shook her head. “Oh Phoebus,” she murmured and smiled shyly. "Well... Now we are quits," Megara closed her eyes and smirked inwardly. It seemed like she remembered something nice from her youth... Though a moment later Meg's face turned serious and she frowned a little. "But he shouldn't... It was a bad idea to lead you here!" Meg's eyes darted from side to side, she was getting slowly into the panic. "Y-you should go,.. you... no, wait!" She looked up in Lina's eyes, and took a deep breath to calm down. "Where will you go? If I... If I ever manage to get out of here, I-I want to be with you... I..." Tears welled up in her eyes once again. To be honest, Megara didn't believe that she could get out of here alive. She just could not let Lina go without knowing that she was going to be safe...

Lina frowned at Megara's words, at least the ones concerning Phoebus. "Please don't be angry with Phoebus, I was the one who asked him to let me in here. I don't know where I will go, Meg... It's not like I have a home, it's impossible to say where I'll be when you get out of here. But I've been on the streets since I was a child and I'm still alive! So don't worry about me, it takes a lot to take the courage away from a street rat!" Lina joked, hoping to calm the older girl down. At the sight of the tears in the purple eyes, Lina moved her hand to Meg's cheek and dried her eyes gently. "Please, don't be scared for me, dear friend. You just hang in there until we meet again. I will always find a way back to you."

As Lina stroked her cheek, tears started to run down her pale cheeks on their own. "I.. I can't let you go," Megara cried and closed her eyes in anxiety, "I.. I won't!" She pulled away from her friend's hand and turned around, making the cloak to fall on the ground. "There must be a way," he whispered, wandering back and forth across the chamber. She was getting nervous, her hands began to glow slightly blue once again. It seemed that her magic was getting out of control...

Lina was surprised at Megara's intense reaction, but truth be told, she didn't want to leave Megara either. She was about to say so when she noticed her friend's hand glowing in a blue shade, the sign of her powers' existence.
"Meg, your magic! I-Is there no way it can help us?" Lina asked and grabbed the bars again desperately.

"Magic? Oh, Lina, I can't use,.." Megara whined at her friends reply, but couldn't finish the sentence. She stood still, her eyes widened. Cold. She felt cold. Her magic powers worked even without her will. "W-What?!" Megara quivered and tried to look behind her back. "B-b-but I'm not doing anything," she gasped and turned her back away from Thumbelina. "Lina, please," she coughed and closed her eyes. Megara was shivering because of the tension in her muscles. The sweat on her forehead was running down into her eyes. "I-I'm f-fine! B-Belive me," she coughed once again and looked around, her eyes refusing to focus properly. Meg realised, that her own magic powers were killing her right on the spot, she didn't wanted Lina to see it... Again. However, she was too weak to do or say anything. Her body was becoming frozen once again, the girl held her breath and fell on the floor unconscious. She prepared to die. Accidently, while Magara was falling down on the floor, she flicked aside a ring, that was still there, in the chamber. The ring rolled right to Lina's feet, sparkling intensely...

When Megara started to cough heavily, Lina couldn't help but get worried. She grabbed at the bars, screaming for Meg to tell her what was happening, but when she fell onto the floor, a small ring rolled towards Lina and caught her attention. She picked it up curiously, it was like a magnet that was pulling her towards it. She felt cold as her body moved on its own and she put the ring on. As soon as it was on, her attention returned to Megara and she wondered why it had disappeared from her to begin with.
"M-Megara! This ring is yours, right? Is it magical? Can I help you with it? Please!"

A warm, yellowish-white light was coming from the ring, Lina was wearing on her finger. She could feel the heat emanating from it. The inscription of the wedding ring started to glow strongly. Forever Yours - that were the words that were engraved on the side of the ring. "Where there is light, there is shadow," a familiar female voice echoed through Lina's head, "A world inseparable,..." It was the voice of Hera, Meg's mother. She appeared out of nowhere in front of the ginger-haired girl... Hera was, young, beautiful, elegant, like she wasn't dead at all. However her spirit was transparent and shined golden. Hera smiled and gently petted Lina's cheek. She turned around and floated towards the chamber's door. She came through it and sat near her daughter's body. "Wax and wane with the flow of moments, like waves in the open sea," she kissed Megara on the forehead and instantly vanished into thin air. The ring stopped to glow, the door of the chamber was opened, as well as Meg's handcuffs. Megara cought and whispered with a hoarse voice, "Lina..."

Lina was awestruck when Hera's ghost, Megara's mother, appeared before her and even touched her. Lina stared with an empty look in her eyes as Hera kissed Megara on the forehead and then vanished from her eyes. Lina could see in her peripheral vision that darkness was consuming her and when she looked at the ring, it had indeed stopped glowing. Lina jumped back in surprise when the door to the chamber opened and even Meg's handcuffs fell apart. Megara seemed to wake up again and Lina ran towards her, crouching next to her.
"Meg! Are you alright?" Lina asked worriedly, but couldn't help that her mind as still processing the fact that Hera had just been here. "Meg, your mom was here! She... She was here, I swear, she... I think she saved you."

Megara felt pain floating through her head. She heard something. A voice. It... It seemed so familiar. It stuck in her head. "What, who,.. who's that?" Megara moaned before her friend's voice brought her from her thoughts. "Oh, my head... Lina!" Megara moaned once again and gave her girlfriend a smile. "I'm fine! Ugh, well, I think so," Megara caught a breath before standing back on her feet. She looked around the chamber, and scratched her chin in thought. At that moment, Lina told her that Meg's mother was here. The witch gasped and remembered. "The ring! Oh, my, why didn't I do that earlier?!", she thought, her face broke into a smile. She turned back to Lina and hugged her tightly. "I kn-now," she shivered, tears streamed from her eyes. "T-thank you, Lina," Megara whispered in her friend's ear and kissed her on her cheek, "...without y-you I-I... She... We could never!.." Megara looked around and gave her friend a wide eyed look, "Well... I'm gonna explain you everything later! Now we should probably get away from here!" She rushly kissed Lina once again and stood in front of her, blocking her from the spell, that she started to cast. "Stay back! I'm full of energy and I need to get rid of it", she smiled widely and threw both of her hands in the air toward the wall. "This stupid brick wall won't stop me this time!" she smirked, her heans started to glow intensely white. Megara prepared to destroy the wall that separated them from the outside world, from the freedom...
...Later that month, together, they sailed away to their new life, — and so they were happy. The end. :**
