History:
James is the only son to the religious leader in town, Claude Frollo. Though it was just the two of them, James and his father always had a hard time seeing eye to eye on anything. One night, James storms out after a fight with his father and retreats to the forest just outside of the kingdoms walls. While James is consumed in his anger, he doesn't realize until it is too late that he is being attacked by a strange creature. He later awakes the next morning with no memory of the night before. After a few days had passed, he started to notice strange things happening to his body and his sudden alertness on certain nights. Reluctantly, he confides in his father about his concerns only to learn through research that he was slowly being turned into a supernatural creature. His father, stricken with grief that he had lost his son, persuaded the king to issue a kingdom-wide proclamation that any supernatural creatures were to be killed.

his father never accepting what he has become - all of the supernaturals in the kingdom will be killed because of his father's foolishness
