Sunlight streamed through the curtains and gave his whole home a golden look. James rolled over and the sun hit his eyes, causing him to groan and rub his eyes with his hands. He wasn't sure how much sleep he had gotten but his whole body felt heavy. That was the first night in weeks that he had been able to sleep, yet he didn't feel rested. He took a look at his surroundings, realizing that he was back down in his living room. At some point, he must have moved downstairs so he could spread out instead of being cooped up in that small chair. His hand ran through his hair as he tried to remember what had happened the night before.
"You can heal just like me. You're.." "This is why your Dad is upset isn't it? You were changed as well.." "You.. me.. I.."
James pushed himself to his feet, ignoring how the exhaustion he had felt the night before still lingered. He stumbled up the stairs as he made his way to his room. Ariel was so freaked out last night, he had to check up on her. Knocking on the door lightly, he slowly pushed it open and peaked inside. Over in the corner, he saw that Ariel was awake and she seemed to be messing with a dress he didn't realize he had. Before he could make himself known, he watched as Ariel stripped out of the pajamas he had given her the night before, the clothes pooling around her feet. Just as he was about to step back, he noticed a dark scar spread across her chest and he felt his stomach churn.
"I'm on the run from my masters.. They turn me into what I am..." "...they tortured me and forced me to become what they wanted me to become."
His skin tingled as he thought of what had happened to her. He couldn't even picture it in his head, it was so awful.

The moment the sunlight came through the curtains was when Ariel woke up. Green eyes blinked before fully opening. She stared at the ceiling trying to recall what happened. Where was she? Slowly her memory started coming back to her. She sat up as she remembered what happened last night, her hand running through her bangs as she did. She had gotten away from Shan-yu and Thrax, she had fought a man to save Kayley, and right after that James Frollo came to her help. And now she was here. Ariel stretched as she got out of the bed. Once she got on her feet she remembered how she saw James had healed himself, causing her eyes to soften a little. So he was a supernatural just like her.. No one his father went off the deep end. It had to be the only reason.. Ariel shook her head, not wanting to think too much about it. She wasn't shocked as she was last night. Heck, she was the exact opposite of last night. This morning she felt energized and more aware of her surroundings. Everything felt clear, and the upset feeling she had felt when she found about James was gone. She had accepted it easier then any one would think. But in a way she had to. There had to be a way he was forced into his change. He was just like her.. Maybe she could talk to him now. Maybe they could help each other out. He had already helped her out with his blood, now it was her turn. Ariel took a few steps forward and opened up a closet. When she opened it she noticed two beautiful dresses in them. Green eyes widened. "Thought he didn't have any dresses.. And these look just like my size." She said to herself as she examined a green one. Usually she wouldn't wear green but the dress was beautiful and it looked amazing next to her pale skin.. "Would he be mad if I put this on? I can't stay in this robe all day.." She said before she looked around to see if any one was around.. Once she saw no one was she took the green dress and laid it on the bed as she undressed herself. Once she was naked she went to put the dress, but her reflection in the mirror caught her attention. Instantly her eyes went to the scar on her chest. Her right hand hovered over it and traced it, remembering when Thrax had stabbed her with his claw. She could still remember the burning.. It was a feeling she always felt. If she used her heating power too much she would end up becoming sick and weak. Her immune system was weak and that was when she wouldn't be able heal at all. Blood couldn't help her either. In that state she was completely helpless. Green eyes studied the scar before she shook her head and started to put the green dress on. Once it was on, Ariel realized how beautiful it shaped her whole body. It went perfectly with her green eyes and blonde hair. It showed her scar, but it didn't bother her.. For once she actually felt pretty. Ariel did a few poses in the mirror before smiling as she giggled to herself. She felt like a princess. Though before she could admire herself any more she heard something being knocked into. Ariel jumped as she looked in the doorway before being startled again when she saw James. "Oh my gosh, I didn't see you there. I'm sorry." She said as she covered her chest with her right hand. Click here for the dress

James jumped when he realized she was staring right at him, his face flushing with embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. How are you feeling today?" He finally pushed the door open and took a step inside, almost in awe by the dress. It hugged her curves and gave her a heavenly glow combined with the sunlight. He didn't remember having any dresses in here...maybe they were his mother's from all that time ago. His voice was still rough from sleep and he ran a hand through his hair, realizing how he must have looked just rolling out of bed. He had expected her to still be asleep so he didn't even bother trying to make himself presentable. James frowned as his gaze caught sight of the scar showing through her fingers just slightly. "Did they do that to you?" He kept his voice low, not wanting to bother her with such a question so early in the morning, but curiosity got the better of him.

"A lot better. Not as frazzled as I was last night. I'm sorry I fainted on you, I guess all I needed the most was some sleep." She said with a smile as she watched him walk into the room. She couldn't help her smile that widened when she saw how tired he looked. Plus he was still wearing the clothes from last night. His hair was a bit of mess too, but in a way she liked seeing him like that. He looked a little bit more relaxed then he did last night. "And how are you? Did you sleep well?" Ariel asked as her eyes never left him. But when she watched his eyes lower she immediately knew what drew his attention.
"Did they do that you you?"
Ariel looked down and uncovered her chest, revealing the scar a bit more. Though the only thing that was to be seen of it was the top. Not the whole thing. "Yeah.. they did. It was how the changed me. One of my masters' name was Thrax. He was the demon and he had this claw that could heat things up with one little touch or scratch. In order to give me his powers he had to.. you know." She said not really wanting to finish the rest of the sentence. It was too morbid and she still wondered how she was still alive. "It's a spot where I can't heal at. Since my skin was burnt. I have other places like that but this one is the most noticeable one." Ariel explained as she looked back up at him and tried to put on a smile.
"I'm starting to get use to it." She said as her smile slowly faded. Slowly silence fell upon them making it a bit awkward.
"I'm sorry if I am overstepping my boundaries.. But, were you changed against your will too? I won't tell anyone.. I'm just.. I'm hoping we have something in common.."She asked, wanting to get all of these introductions out of the way. Plus she wanted to know if she could talk to him. Something she wanted the most, a person to talk to.

James tried to give her a small smile and tried to avoid how tired he was. "Decent enough...that was the first night in weeks that I've slept." When she noticed him looking at her scar, he dropped his gaze so he didn't make her uncomfortable. He couldn't help but picture the scene in his head, the pain she must have felt. When she asked him about his change, he frowned and moved over to his dresser and pulled out a simple blue shirt. "It's fine. It happened a few weeks ago, in the woods. Something attacked me but I never saw who or what. All I know is that they didn't kill me, but ever since that night, I've been experiencing...changes." James didn't bother looking at her as he spoke. He unbuttoned his shirt and slipped it off, not even caring that she was standing right behind him. "That's why father is doing all of this...I wasn't careful." He turned to face her, revealing a large scar that spread from his shoulder down to his waist. Four claw marks streaked down his body, the skin still pink and damaged. He pulled on the blue shirt he had grabbed and buttoned it up so the scar couldn't be seen anymore.
