Being powerless is one of Facilier's greatest and only fears. This includes poverty and homelessness. He also fears love, platonic or otherwise, the only person he's ever cared for was his mother. Despite being immortal, he fears death. His main weakness is his want to help those in need, which is difficult to over ride on occasion.

At first Facilier is charming, charismatic and seductive. He lures in his victims with charm and grace, many fall for his confidence and way with words.
Once his victim completely trusts him, he becomes manipulative and deceiving drawing them further in before ending their life with silken words and a dark grin. He is driven and ambitious, with dreams to take over the kingdom with an army of undead. Though he has had many lovers over the years, he has never had an emotional attachment to one of them, purely sexual. He does not choose sides but will ally with those who can further his ambition. He dislikes those who disrespect him and those who are wealthier than he. He does however sympathize with the down trodden or poor, often expressing his wishes to help them. He is arrogant and vain but also incredibly intelligent. He can be incredibly patient with others.
