Jasmine paced nervously at her house, after everything that had happened at the ball she was still worried. So many people had died, the King had died...and now Prince John would become the next King. It was going to be a very difficult position that he would be in. Jasmine was sure the Claude would hunt Aurora down, after she had revealed herself like that in front of everyone. And now Jasmine was waiting for Phoebus to return back from the ball. He had had to attend to his duties and ensure that the Royal family was safe.

Phoebus huffed as he made his way down the streets to Jasmine's house, trying to control his anger. In all of the chaos, Odette had disappeared and he had already spent the past four hours looking for her before his guards forced him to leave and go home. Anger radiated from his body as he stumbled in through the door, slamming it shut behind him. He tore off his cape and sword, tossing them onto the ground with a loud clang. A loud groan flew past his lips as he dropped his body on the couch and he leaned back, covering his face with his hands. He hadn't even noticed Jasmine pacing around the room and he forced himself to take a deep breath. "The king's dead...the princess is missing...this kingdom is going to shit." Phoebus leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he looked over at her, thankful that she wasn't hurt in all of that mess. If Jasmine had been injured or killed during the ball, Phoebus would have lost it.

Jasmine jumped as someone entered her home and slammed the door. She hurried out to see Phoebus slumped on the couch, "Does anyone know where the Princess is?" She asked with concern as she moved to sit next to him. She knew Phoebus and knew that he must have felt extremely guilty for what had happened to her. "Or where she was last?" She asked gently. She still didn't know what Phoebus and the Princess had talked about earlier but she had a feeling it was serious. As bad as it seemed, she was hugely grateful to see that Phoebus was alive and well. If he had died, she wouldn't have been able to handle it.

Phoebus shook his head and stared at his hands. He had checked every place he could think of and still couldn't find a lead. "No..all we've got is a her bracelet that was found in the stables. Her horse was still there so I don't know what the hell happened." He had to take a deep breath to keep himself from getting angered again. His slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her body to him, gripping her in a tight embrace. Guilt flooded his body at Odette's fate and he couldn't let that happen to Jasmine too.

Jasmine frowned, "Well it seems to me like she's trying to send out a call for help." She said quietly. The bracelet could have been dropped on accident, but with everything that had happened earlier she had a hard time believing that. "Don't worry you'll find her." She said gently as she pressed a gentle kiss against Phoebus's cheek. As he pulled her in for a tight embrace, she moved to hold him just as tightly. "I'm just glad you're ok." She said after a moment. "There was a moment there when I thought I'd lost you. I'm glad you're not dead." In all honesty, she wasn't sure what she would have done had Phoebus died that night. It was a thought that haunted her every morning.

Phoebua clung to her, not ready to let go. At her words, he let out a soft chuckle and buried his face into her neck. "Well you were pretty reckless yourself tonight. Don't do that again. I'm not going to lose you because of some ticked off spirit." He kissed her neck before pulling back and leaning against the couch again. Phoebus still couldn't fathom the events of the evening. It was the first time he'd seen a spirit, as well as a dragon and it still freaked him out a little bit.

Jasmine smiled as he buried his face into her neck. "Well I wasn't the only one taking risks." She pointed out softly, her smile widened just a little as he kissed her lightly on her neck. Her expression becoming slightly downcast at his words, "I'm not going anywhere." She said gently as she sent him a sad smile. Her thoughts moved to Kayley and Joseph.....had Kayley gotten somewhere safe? Jasmine hadn't forgotten what had happened that night, most of the bruises were still there.

Phoebus eyed Jasmine out of the corner of his eye and frowned at her expression. "You're not thinking about that girl again are you?" He leaned forward and ran his hand down her arm, remembering that night when he came home and found her hurt. It still made him furious but the man had never come back to do it again so Phoebus felt a little bit better. "Jasmine, I don't want you chasing after her again. You almost got yourself killed last time..." Sadness showed in his eyes as he dropped his hand back into his lap. The thought had crossed his mind to send guards out to help, but when Jasmine had mentioned that the girl was a supernatural too, that idea went to hell. If he sent guards and they found out, the girl was as good as dead.

Jasmine glanced over at Phoebus and gave him a small smile, "You're always able to read my mind." She said quietly as she listened to him talk. "So you want me to just turn a blind eye on someone who needed my help? Phoebus, I don't want to see anyone else hurt or worse. I can't keep pretending that prejudice doesn't exist and now slavery! I thought they were just rumors but to think that there are people out there who kidnap people like me and Kayley...it's wrong." She said with a shudder as she thought of what that man had said to her, "It makes me think that humanity is destroyed but then I'm reminded of all the good in the world when there are people like you in it." She said eventually as she glanced down at her hands.

Phoebus frowned and gently laid his hand on top of hers. "I understand, I really do. But there's nothing you can do. You tried and he won. From what you told me, that girl was a fighter. Maybe she's perfectly fine and managed to beat him somehow." From everything that he'd seen, supernaturals were never ones to give up and that was something he envied. Humans were so fragile and unpredictable. At her words, Phoebus gently pulled her close to his side so she could rest her head on his shoulder. He hated seeing her upset like this but she had every reason to be. The world had really changed, and not for the better.

"Or maybe she's been sold off to some creep." The thought made her shudder. As he pulled her closer against him, she rested her head against his shoulder. The comfort while small was enough to make her smile. "But you're right, I can't keep worrying over this." She said eventually as she thought about everything that was currently going on both in the Kingdom and in their own lives. "Besides we've had a very long day and I think it would be good for both of us to relax and try and enjoy the rest of the evening." Jasmine added thoughtfully.

Phoebus smiled at her words and nodded. "Everything will be fine, don't worry about it." he gave her a gentle squeeze before resting back against the couch, making sure to keep her in his arms. The events of the evening had left him feeling pretty drained but to be here with her was enough to make him feel better. Images of the ball still swirled in his head but he pushed them out. Jasmine was right, he just needed to relax.
