"Indeed," Marina said completely agreeing with him. If no one was careful now people would fear them and that was the last thing Marina wanted. Her thoughts went back to the ball room and the spirit who attacked everyone. She really wondered why that spirit wished to hurt everyone so badly. "Things may be difficult now for us after this event," Marina said slowly. Things would defiantly not be better at once.

Facilier glanced at his companion before giving a slow nod.
"That is very true. Those two have made it much more difficult for people like us."
He gave a small chuckle, before sitting down on a bench
"Though perhaps our temporary king will be more gracious."
He said, a touch of venom in his voice.

"Let's hope so," Marina said, not noticing the venom in Faciliers voice. She rose her head up when she saw a brightening light from the windows in the ballroom, then it faded away. Not long after she could hear people hurry out of the castle. She looked at Facilier. Could it be that the danger was over now?

((OOC: So sorry for the late reply, it took me a really long time to figure out a response xD))
Facilier looked into his companion's eyes intensely, before turning his head towards the castle. The doors were open, the Queen seemed to be one of the first to emerge from the chaos. He cursed under his breath as he watched the Queen escape, mostly unscathed.
"I suppose we ought to aid survivors"
He sighed heavily, as if it were a chore.

"Maybe," Marina replied as she watched the people get out. They seemed so frightened. It made her heart heavy. No one deserved to be so frightened. She knew how that feeling was. But when some of the guards looked into their direction Marina froze. "Or maybe not!" She kept closer to Facilier and started to shake violently. What if the guards had noticed how they got away? Or that they had relationships with the dragon or the spirit?

Facilier shielded Marina by standing in front of her, hiding her from the guards. Her extreme reaction to the guards, had given him an insight into her fears and this was the perfect chance to give her reason to trust him.
"Good evening, gentlemen. My companion and I decided to take a walk in the the castle yard, since it is such a lovely evening. We didn't realise the chaos that had broken out until it was too late to do anything, I do hope there were no casualties?"
One of the guards raised an eyebrow at the pair
"Not exactly sir. The king is now dead because of those... Hideous creatures. You wouldn't happen to know where they came from, sir?"
Facilier gasped in shock, it was faked of course but the guard seemed to buy it
"Of course, I don't!"
The guard then focused his gaze on Marina
"You, ma'am?"

Marina kept shaking when Facilier shielded her from the guards who approached them. Luckily, it seemed that they believed his story. It wasn't a completely lie. Marina gasped when they told that the king was dead. Now things weren't going to be easier from now on. She just knew it. When the guard turned his gaze on her, she shook her head. "No, sir," she said with shaken voice and forced herself to not cry of fear in front of them. "M-my friend and I were o-outside all the t-time." The guards seemed to believe her. "Well then. We will not bother you any longer. Just be careful on your way home!" one of the guards said. Marina kept shaking. What was going on with her? She had never lied in front of anyone before. It was wrong, but she had to do it to save herself. Her family would understand that, wouldn't they?

As the guards walked away, Facilier turned to Marina with a puzzled look.
"Why are you still shaking, they're gone. We're fine!"
Facilier grabbed her shoulders and bent down to look into her eyes.
"Everything's alright."
He whispered, real concern in his voice. He couldn't understand why she was so nervous, he could feel her shoulders shaking beneath his hands.

"I'm scared," she admitted after a while as Facilier looked into her eyes. She was shocked and scared at the same time. "The king is dead and now everything will be getting worse!" She couldn't her tears back anymore or think clearly. "I don't know what to do if my family gets caught because of me. I just want to entertain people with my powers, not hurt them as they believe." Marina held her hands at her face while she cried. She didn't know if she looked stupid in front of Facilier.

Facilier looked at the girl before him. She was so open, so innocent and so vulnerable. Something about her concern and fear touched him as strange and as foreign as it felt. Never one to comfort, he awkwardly wrapped his arms around the crying woman and pulled her into his chest. He didn't say a word, just held her as she cried albeit a little cautiously.

She cried into his chest for a little while before she managed to calm down. "I'm sorry," she said and dried her tears away. "I don't know what came over me." She had to get a grip on herself.

He stepped away from Marina, brushing his coat with his hands.
"It's fine. Us magic users have to look out for eachother"
They stood in an awkward silence for a little while before Facilier pulled a pocket watch out from his jacket.
"It's late, very late."
He looked up from the clock
"Would you like me to walk you to wherever you're staying? Just in case anymore guards bother you."

Marina nodded to him. Every magic user had to look for each other now. No one knew what the future would bring for them. "I would be happy if you did," Marina said thankfully to Facillier. It was probably for the best that someone followed her home just in case. And soon, the whole town would hear about the kings death. She took his arm and as they walked from the castle, the bells started to ring, announcing the kings death into the night.
