Daemon made his way through the forest, his bow and arrows strapped firmly to his back. He kept his hood up high securely on his head so it wouldn't fall no matter what. The last thing he needed was to be found by the angels after all of this time and ruin everything he had worked so hard to gain since his fall. He made his way to the river, dropping the bag of his most recent kills on the grass so he could wash up. It had been a few months since he had been out hunting. Even though he was immortal still didn't mean that he didn't have to eat. He splashed water over his face to wash off all of the sweat and dirt from his travels. At the sound of a branch breaking in the distance, his eyes shifted back and forth across the land. His body remained completely still, taking in his surroundings. Across the river stood a fine looking doe, her eyes just staring at him. Daemon took in her beauty, her size, and smiled. A kill that size could last him a very long time and he wouldn't have to leave the cottage as much. Keeping his movements slow, Daemon reached over the back of his shoulder, drawing out one single arrow. He raised the bow into position, keeping the thumb of his hand centered on the corner of his lips. His breathing slowed almost to a complete stop as he prepared to shoot. Before he could release, the doe began to glow in an unnatural way, it's body shaping into that of a younger woman. As the light faded, Daemon lowered the bow slowly, releasing the tension of the strings until he let go completely. Across from him stood a woman with curls of amber, antlers sprouting from the sides of her head. He threw his bow off to the side to show her that he meant no threat to her and lowered his hood to reveal his face.

Fauna was with Abie, walking around and teaching him new things while Faline was with Annette. She had promised her a day in the village. Fauna was always amazed how much bigger he was in a deer form, and how tiny he was in human. Though the only reason he usually was in his human form was because of her. Usually the only way he could turn into a human form was if she was holding him and needed to go to the village. Other than though she tried to keep him in his deer form. Brown eyes watched as he played in the meadow by the river. She slowly bent her legs and laid in the grass. Her eyes not leaving him. Though when she heard a sound, her ears went straight up and she got on her hooves. Immediately she located the sound and saw a man with a bow and arrow, causing her eyes to widen. She ran to Abie and covered him from the man's view. She then heard a sound behind him and saw a fellow deerling of their tribe. She bowed her head to them before she pushed Abie towards them with her head. "Go my darling. She will take care of you. It is not safe here." She whispered as she watched as Abie ran to her friend. Both of them leaving them quickly. It was time for the queen of the forest to meet this hunter and tell him to leave. Fauna turned to look at the man and stepped on a branch as she did, breaking it on accident. Her ears lifted up as she stared at the man with big doe eyes. She watched as he got his bow and arrow and aimed at her, causing her eyes to widen and immediately start to shift into her half-human form. The glow faded, revealing her half-human form. She continued to look at the man. Her hands at her side and her legs spread apart as she stood there in a defensive stance. On her was a beautiful pink and brown dress on her that she had imagined while she transformed, giving her the dress in her mind. She knew humans liked to be clothed so she made sure to always be dressed in front of them. She took a few steps toward the man as he lowered his hood, revealing his face to her. But she made sure to keep her distance. "So you are the one who has been hunting in my forest." She said as she looked at his bag, her heart breaking as she did. "Do you plan to kill me next?" She asked as her brown eyes went back to him. Not believing once he wasn't going to kill her. He may have put down his bow and arrow, but she didn't know if he had a gun. Her dress

Daemon couldn't tear his eyes off of the woman. Her dress flowed in the soft breeze that made it's way through the forest, making her look like an elegant queen. He followed her gaze as she look at the bag, noting the hint of sadness showing in them. "I didn't realize someone owned these lands." His voice showed almost a hint of sarcasm as he threw the rest of his weapons down. His arrows clattered together in their sleeve as it hit the ground. He pulled the knives out of his boots, leaving them with the rest of his things. "I had planned on killing you, but I cannot kill a creature such as yourself. You are a special creation of the gods, and that is something that I will respect." He held up his hands in almost a surrender like pose to offer up his defeat. After all, he was still a man of honor despite the fact that he had fallen from grace to this world. After he gave her a moment, he took slow steps towards her, making sure to secure his footing on the slippery stones of the riverbed. "I apologize for disturbing your forests, but as you can see, humans must do what needs to be done to survive."

"I do not own these lands. But I like to protect the other creatures such as myself here. I am their Queen. I follow my late husband's footsteps." Fauna said, immediately cutting through his sarcasm quickly. Even if he barely spoke with the sarcasm, she still sensed it. Her eyes looked away to watch the weapons fall to the ground. He took every weapon out and threw it on the ground, showing her he wasn't going to harm her. He then spoke to her once more, causing her eyes to look back at him.
"You are a special creature of the gods."
Fauna tilted her head at his words and walked closer to him. Her dress flowing behind her. Though when she saw him start to walk closer to her, she stopped and took a step back. The only reason she was getting close in the first place because he was on the other side of the river. But now that he was coming close, she wasn't exactly sure about it. "There are other ways to survive. There are plenty of other things to eat here that are not meat." She said before she backed up more when he got closer. Her eyes not leaving his. The moment he made one sudden move would be when she'd run. She knew this forest better than he did and she could escape him faster. Even in this form she could. But if he caught her, then she would be in trouble. For she had no powers. All she had was quick reflexes and her ability to run quickly.

When he noticed her starting to back away from him as he moved closer, Daemon ceased his movements and stood still in the center of the river. The cold water washed over his boots and made it's way through his toes. "All due respect but you cannot expect a man to live on only what the land provides. We would die within weeks." He smirked as he lowered his arms back down to his sides and stared at her. In all of the centuries he had spent here in the human realm, he had never come across a creature such as her. He searched his mind, trying to remember what sort of being she was exactly. When his memory brought it to mind, a larger smile came across his face. "Deerlings...I was there when you were created. You have no reason to fear me." He realized that right now, he was making no sense to her, but he didn't care. He was actually meeting a creature that he had watched be created by the gods. It was like a dream come true for him and his studies.
