John and his mother had gone to the study to talk after the events of the Masquerade Ball, John's mother seemed increasingly worried as there was no word from Odette. "You have to assert yourself as the King of Paradise John, if you don't I'm afraid that someone here in the castle might try and remove you." Queen Uberta said gravely as she looked up at John from where she sat at her desk. John ran a hand through his hair, it was clear he hadn't slept in quite a few nights as he paced in front of her. "So you keep telling me, the coronation is tomorrow morning after that I'll do what I can to protect this Kingdom." He said as he turned to face the Queen. |

Phillip was rushing through the hall heading right to the royal study. He was furious, furious about that first the king dies which made John obviously king leaving him hardly any chances to take the throne by himself. Not only that Phillip wanted to do this for selfish reasons but due the circumstances the king died he highly doubted this family really could handle their own kingdom, at least not in the speed needed. Then secondly his best chance to take the crown has been kidnapped and couldn´t yet be found. Seriously this kingdom needed to be fixed, to be guided and hell he would be the one to do so even if he had be bloody sneaky, which in fact though wasn´t that big of a deal for him.
Slamming the doors open he hardly waited for the servants to close the gates before he started to speak. "Your majesties, we need to speak." He started off as he throw a necklace towards John, the very necklace the princess had been wearing at the ball. "I assume you recognize this and am aware of who is it´s owner?"

Queen Uberta stood up as Prince Phillip arrived, "What is the meaning of this?" She demanded, her voice coming out harsh and cold. John caught the necklace and stared down at it with a look of growing comprehension "This belongs to my sister, how did you manage to get a hold of it?" He asked as he raised his gaze to meet Phillip's own. Queen Uberta gripped the edge of her desk with a white knuckled grip, "Yes do tell us Prince Phillip?" She asked quietly as she moved to John's side to study the necklace in his hands. |

Phillip approached the other royals with a stern expression. "I think you will agree with me that right now it hardly matter how I found it but where. It was found on the balcony or rather at it´s stairways. I assume the princess wouldn´t loose such heavy jewlery on accident but rather on purpose." As John was now the one who had to make the decisions, at least in this very moment ... more or less, he looked him right in the eyes. "Now what are you going to do about the kidnapping of your sister? Or is the princess actually that instable to run away without letting anyone know in the middle of the night, in the middle of such a disaster."

The Queen snorted in an unladylike fashion, "Odette is not unstable, and she's not someone who would carelessly drop her jewelry. That necklace has been in the family for centuries, she wouldn't simply drop it on accident." The Queen said in a derisive tone as she moved to sit back down. John didn't say anything but it was clear that he agreed with his mother's words, "It makes more sense that she left this for us to find, I already have Captain Phoebus and an entire squadron of men searching for Odette as we speak. Hopefully they'll find something that will give us a better idea of where she is, believe me I do not like waiting but we don't have much choice in the matter. Until we know where to look then it would be pointless to search for my sister." John said in a tone that showed he wasn't a fan of this option. |

Phillip was just about to say something when Frollo made his appearance. Great time as always, he thought to himself as he glared at him for a moment before he hold the necklace higher so he could see it as well. "Claude, we were just having a talk about the current circumstances. I assume you do know who this necklace belongs to yes?"
