When she pulled back from their kiss, James almost protested until he felt her lips tracing across his neck and shivers went down his spine. After making love once more, Ariel fell asleep in James' arms. Her breathing had finally calmed once she did. She slept through the night before she woke up when the light came through the curtains. Her eyes slowly opened as she stretched and turned over to cuddle into James, wanting to go back to sleep. She was warm underneath the blanket and the feel of his body next to hers made her feel safe. And she was about to go back to sleep when she suddenly felt her stomach turn. Her eyes opened as she covered her mouth and got out of the bed. She hurried to the bathroom that was in James' room.
Once she entered she made her way to the toilet before she started to vomit in it. Her hair fell around the toilet, luckily not getting into the toilet itself as she continued to puke. She gripped the toilet tightly as her body shook. She really hated throwing up. Once she was done she sat there on her knees, breathing hard as she tried to figure out why she was feeling so sick. Was it because of how much activity she had last night?
Before she could put the pieces together, her stomach had turned again causing her to throw up once more. She did this for a couple of more minutes before she rested her hand on her arms as they rested on the toilet. Her breathing was heavy as she was starting to feel really bad. God she hated puking, it always made her so weak, and the after taste was horrible. She dry heaved a little bit but forced herself not to puke. Not wanting to feel pain anymore. Plus if she puked any more she would just be puking out acid, and that always stung her throat..
So she sat still as she tried to calm herself down..

James was suddenly jolted awake when he felt a sudden emptiness in the bed next to him. He groaned as he shifted in the bed, his eyes flickering open to notice to door to the bathroom open and he saw Ariel crouching on the ground next to the toilet. "Ariel? Are you alright?" He slowly pushed himself up, his voice still groggy and rough from sleeping. James made his way into the bathroom as he ran his hand over his face to wake up some more. He knelt down next to her and carefully pulled her hair back from her face. She hadn't been sick like this before while they were together and he wondered if it was something she are or maybe because of all they did last night. He ran his hand over her hair in a comforting manner as he tried to calm her down, knowing all to well how being sick like this could affect her nerves. They sat in silence for a few moments, James holding back her hair whenever she felt the need to vomit once more. Thoughts kept wandering through his mind on how she could have gotten sick but one seemed to stick out above the rest. At first, he thought it was crazy. They only times they had been together were the night they became engaged and then last night. She hadn't shown any symptoms the first time so they were safe, but now, not even a day later, here she was. James' hand flew up to his mouth as he realized that was happening to her, his heart pounding in his ears. She was pregnant.
He stared in shock for a moment before he started to laugh quietly to himself. When he noticed Ariel give him an odd look, he dropped his hand to reveal a huge smile on his face. "By the gods Ariel...you...you're pregnant." He burst into laughter as tears sprung to his eyes. It was hard for him to contain how happy he was about it. Most men would be freaking out, considering that they weren't married and it was unplanned but he didn't even care. He was going to have a child with the woman he loved. James reached over and gently placed his hand on her stomach, staring in fascination at her. How it had happened so fast he didn't know, maybe it was because of what he was, but it had happened. She had become pregnant over night.

Ariel smiled a little when she felt James come up behind and run his hand through her hair. She appreciated him keeping her hair out of her face. She dry heaved for a little bit longer before she finally calmed down. Once she was done and felt a little better she leaned away from the toilet and leaned against James. Her eyes closed as she breathed hard. "That was horrible." She whispered before she heard him laugh to himself, causing her to turn to look at him. "What?" She asked as she looked at him in confusion. What was so funny?
Ariel learned the answer when he uncovered his face and told her she was pregnant. Her eyes widened as she leaned away from him a little. She was what? How? "I'm what? But how?? We only did it last night? There's no way.." She said before she remembered the fact they were both supernaturals and how James had released inside her a few times last night.
She felt her body freeze as she started to put the pieces together. James was a Kitsune and they were fast creatures. It would only make sense he could impregnant her that fast. The realization of this caused her to look down at her stomach before he placed his hand on it. Her hand slowly went to his hand before looking up at him. "H-how can this be? Are you sure?" She asked, not wanting it to be just something he was hoping for. But she couldn't help but start to smile as she was starting to hope she was pregnant as well. It was unplanned and it scared her just a little bit, but the fact she could be a mother and the child's father was going to be James made her feel amazing and safe.
"This better not be a joke.." Ariel said, laughing a little bit as a small tear fell from her eye.

James pulled back slightly when she moved away from him, his smile wavering a moment. Worry started to take over him. Had she not wanted kids? Had last night been a mistake? He was just about to pull away until he felt her hand on his as she looked down at her stomach. His body froze as he waited for her reaction, worried that she didn't feel the same way about it as he did. When she started to smile, his worry faded and his happiness took over once again. "I don't know how it could have happened so fast, but that's the only explanation for this, don't you think?" He pulled back and ran his hand through his hair. His mind was still trying to wrap around the idea and a weird sensation washed over him. He was going to be a father. His hand ran down his face, pausing for a moment over his mouth before he dropped it back to his side. "I'm going to be a father..." A wave of fear washed over him but he quickly pushed it away. He had planned on having children with Ariel once they were married but now that it was happening, it seemed so fast. When he heard her laugh slightly, a weight lifted off his shoulders and he took her hands in his. "I love you..."

Ariel smiled more when she saw James smile at her. "I knew Kitsunes were fast, but never this fast." Ariel laughed, teasing him. She closed her eyes as he ran his hand through her hair before she felt him move away. She opened her eyes and watched as he touched his face. Her smile widened when he said he was going to be a father. She laughed at him as she felt tears well up in her eyes. But this time they were tears of happiness. She held his hands in her tightly as he told her he loved her. She leaned forward and placed her head on his. "I love you too.." She whispered before she pulled back to look at him.
Suddenly the joy and excitement rushed over her as she laughed once more. "We're going to be parents." She laughed before she jumped up and wrapped her arms around him, tackling him. As he landed on the floor Ariel laughed as she hugged him close. She stayed like this for a couple of minutes before she got off of him and back on her knees.
Ariel looked down at herself and placed her hand on her stomach. It was still flat, but she could already feel something going on in there. She wondered if she felt this because of her being a Celestian.. Then it hit her. She was meant to protect others, did that mean she was going to be able to protect the baby as well? That if anything happened to it, it would heal right away and be safe. This thought made her happy as she looked at James. "I can protect it.. With these new powers nothing is going to happen to our baby. I won't let it." She smiled as she looked down at her stomach once more, rubbing it lightly.

James barely had time to react when Ariel tackled him, his arms wrapping around her as he fell back so she wouldn't fall off of him. Her arms squeezed him as she got so excited about being parents. It was a relief for her to be reacting this way and he actually found it quite adorable. He smirked when she got off of him and sat on her knees. As he pushed himself up, he remembered something that he had been saving for an occasion such as this. "Wait here." James lightly squeezed her hand before he got up and ran back into the bedroom. He rummaged through the closet, pulling out a brown box that he took back with him to the bathroom. "I have something for you." He grinned as he knelt down beside her and gave her the box. When she opened it, he watched as she gasped and slowly took the item out of the box. It was a little brown teddy bear with black buttons as eyes. Inside the box as well were two pieces of ribbon, one blue and the other pink. "This was mine, as a child. My mother had it made for me before I was born and I hid it from my father so he wouldn't take it away from me. After her death, he raised me on his own but when I was about six, I asked about her so much that he was furious with anything that reminded him of her..." His words faded out as he thought about those days but he shook the thoughts out of his head. "I wanted to give this to my own children...the ribbon there is for when the baby is born. Blue for a boy...pink for a girl." He held the ribbons in his hand before he looked up at her and smiled shyly. It was still sinking in that they were going to be parents and actually having someone to share this with made him so happy. "And I swear, no harm will come to our child. You won't have to worry about protecting it because I will always be there first."
