Anastasias parents sure knew how to treat their guests. After Anastasia had returned home with him and told about lord Dayne's situation with finding a place to live until the coronation, they gladly welcomed him. He got the chance to rest before dinner and he really enjoyed his role. So now he was sitting in the living room with Anastasia and enjoyed a little glass wine with her. "Your family is really kind," he said. There weren't many families that were.

Anastasia had been quite happy that her parents, even though she had expected them to behave like that, actually agreed that Garrett would be staying with them as a guest. Yet she really hoped they wouldn´t try to push or even force Garrett at her or her at him for a marriage. So far she liked the stranger and surely wanted to have and keep it the other way around. So now there they were, sitting together in the living room having a nice glass of wine though hers obviously wasn´t as filled as his since she hardly drank alcohol under normal circumstances to make sure she had a clear head. "Uhm ... yes, yes they are." She said rather quiet since to her herself they hardly were nice nor really cared about her. Others, especially people of the right blood and status though were something else completely. "How is yours like if I may ask?"

Garrett never liked to talk about his own past. But he couldn't deny Anastasia an answer. He decided his words carefully. "I never saw much of my father. He was traveling a lot in the world as an ambassador for Maghden. My mother was the most loveable woman ever."

Garrett smiled back to Anastasia. She was really a nice girl to talk with. Somehow he got the feeling that her parents kept an eye on both off them. They were probably searching for a good husband for her. He decided to see if it was true. "Since you and your family are most kind," Garrett started and put his glass on the table. "I don't know this city or other families so well here, but would you do me the honour and accompany me at the coronation?" He was sure that he heard someone gasp outside the door.

At his offer Anastasia looked at him both happy suprised as well as honestly shocked since it was the first time she got ever asked as company for a male. A male besides her best friend Jim of course but besides their great friendship they were just like siblings. "I uhm ... yes of course, I´d be my pleasure." Just then she heard a familiar gasp. Surely she´d have to tell him once they were actually alone about her parents crazy desperate will to marry her off to the next best fitting man in their opinion.

He was right. Her parents had been listening. Poor Anastasia though, it seemed that it was a little embarrassing for her. Luckily he was able to not laugh out loud and hid his laughter into a little smile instead.

Anastasie blushed quite heavily as he kept quiet and only smiled fearing or rather assuming he had heard her parents as well. Just what would he be thinking of her? For sure the last thing she wanted to be thought of as was a golddigger or a blackwidow or a slut or even worse.

Anastasia surely appreciated that act of his and was more than happy that her parents at least weren´t able to see them. "Oh she surely wasn´t THAT dedicated though." She said a little more quiet while she smiled at him.

Anastasia just had to chuckle. "Okay okay I take it back. Think we are even then."
For a while they continued talking freely like this until a maid knocked on the door and reminded Anastasia that it was time to go to bed and insisted that the noble would go right with her since the upcoming days would surely be everything but ordinary. Being the good girl she was she did as requested and got up immediately before looking at Garrett again with a gentle smile of hers. "Thank you for the conversation, I really enjoyed talking with you. Good night Garrett."

Oh his mother would surely have loved Anastasia. They both kept talking for a while until some maid announced it was time to go to bed. It would be good to rest for the night. He rose up as well. "I should also thank you. Again for everything." He took her hand and kissed it gently. "Good night Anastasia. I hope you'll have pleasant dreams this night."

Of course Anastaisa just had to blush again as he gave her a hand kiss. Would she ever get used to such things especially since they were just out of formalities? "Thank you. I hope you will have as well." She replied before she left to prepare for bed. That night she surely would have some nice dreams and Garrett would definitely would play a great part in them.
