The throne room was filled that day to witness the coronation of the new King. Those in attendance were of course the royal family and Prince John's suitor Princess Giselle. Also in attendance were the nobles and wealthy families from Paradise. There were of course other people who had snuck in, but they had every chance of getting caught. Most people were on edge due to the events that had occurred during the Masquerade. However there were more guards this time around, each heavily armed. Leading them was of course Captain Phoebus. Surrounded by guards was Prince John, he had been forced to attend by Prince Phillip. He was against the wall, in a spot that allowed him room to perfectly witness Prince Phillip's coronation. His hands were shackled by irons and he looked much thinner and worn out. The clothes he wore were dirty and hung loosely on him, but he still stood straight and proud. Everyone was awaiting the new King's arrival, so he could be crowned and then given the former Queen's blessing.

Garrett wasn't used to such formal clothes. And especially not getting eyes on him as he and Anastasia in his arm entered the throne room. But since he soon would get a title if he played his cards right, it would be for the rest of his life. Trying to avoid the looks from the others around, he turned to Anastasia with his gentle smile. "That dress really suits you." he said with a honest smile.

As they entered the throne room Anastasia was torn between clinging on to Garrett as she was very nervous or keep the most distance she could have while walking inside with him together so she wouldn´t build up more rumours than already existed. Her parents luckily already were inside and busy with chatting with other nobles so she and Garrett would at least have a little time more or less for themselves. "Thank you but you look great yourself by the way." She replied with a happy smile.

Garrett smiled back to Anastasia. He really liked her company. Just looking around the throne room and some other noble ladies, made Garrett thought that some of them looked very sassy. "Thank you," he replied back to her. He was looking for a place where he could get a good view at Phillip and other people once the coronation started.

Post by Alice Liddell on Nov 11, 2015 18:32:11 GMT
Alice glanced at her parents. They seemed to be giving each other worried looks again, and Alice didn't think it was because they were worried about supernaturals crashing the coronation like they did with the ball. Maybe it was the sight of seeing Prince John, surrounded by guards, shackled up like a common criminal. Alice didn't know everything, but she had heard her parents talking about how it was suspected that the prince had something to do with the strange events surrounding the ball. They, of course, refused to give Alice any details, insisting that this was grown-up stuff and that she wouldn't understand. She didn't see why not, though. She wasn't a little girl anymore. She could handle some of this stuff, right? She gave a little sigh as she craned her neck up, trying to see if Prince Philip had entered the room yet.
"Honey, you keep doing that, you're going to get a crick in your neck," Alice's mother, Annabelle, said as she put a hand on her daughter's shoulder.
"Yes, Mother. I just...everybody's been talking about Prince Philip a lot. I really want to see him." Alice paused for a moment before adding "Well, I guess he'll be King Philip once this is over."
"Yes, I suppose he will be," Alice's father, Derek, replied in a half-distracted tone as he glanced about the room.
Alice looked at her father quizzically. Was he worried about this coronation? She didn't understand why he would be. So what if Philip was from another kingdom? He was a prince. He had to be a good person, right?

Rapunzel walked in to the room wearing an old dress from her days as part of the nobility and a heavy cloak that concealed her small form. She knew it was dangerous to be out like this, being arrested was the least of her worries, but curiosity had taken over her. She wanted to know what kind of man was replacing the old king.
The girl looked about the throne room, anxiously drumming her fingers in her thighs. She recognised most of the people filling the room, the prestigious Liddell family with their young daughter; Anastasia Tremaine, a wealthy aristocrat and her family; and dozens of other wealthy nobles. Each time a guard passed her, her fingers ghosted over the dagger strapped to her waist more for comfort than anything else.
Darting her eyes about the room, she moved to a more secluded corner near the back of the room and waited for the ceremony to begin. She fixed her eyes on the throne and silently prayed for a more benevolent King.

For once, all that glitter and glamour that the royal paace and it's people had to offer, held of no interesst to Sara. Which is really weird, considering ehr weakness for pretty things and royals in general. No, this time, she couldn't even care less for the soon to be crowned king, or anyone else of the higher statuts with their pretty jewearly. In fact, she wasn't even curious aboutthe coronation itself, or the tiny bt intressted to witness the crown. She only came here for a chance to see John, the 'real prince' in her book. So, smoomthy moving past the people unnoticed, she finally saw the prince, surrounded by guards and looking.. so much thinner than their last encounter. This pained her to see, and mentally cursed out all of the people who belived in those false accusations placed on him. "Hey there Charming," she whisperd once she was close enough, keeping her hood over her head, but knew John would recognise her either way. "Gotta say, I'm sure you've had better days..." she joked lightly, offering him a warm smile despite the pain she felt for his sake.

John felt numb, people were whispering about him and pointing fingers. All he could think about however was his family and of course Sara. Odette had gone missing, no sign of her anywhere at least none that anyone had been willing to tell him. He hadn't eaten much in days but he still worked out as much as he could in the small isolated cell that Phillip had put him in. His mother occasionally visited him with food or news from the castle. He hadn't seen Sara since before the Masquerade and he hoped that she was safe. His eyes widened when he heard her voice, he looked up and felt a real smile hit his face as he saw Sara. "Sara, you really shouldn't be here." He whispered as he took in her hooded cloak and dress. She looked lovely as she always did and he wished he looked better then he did. "Although I have to agree with you." He said with a pained expression as he glanced down at himself. "You can't stay here for long, otherwise the guards will escort you out." He said with a frown at the two guards who were currently guarding him.

The two siblings, including mother entered place where everyone dressed up nicely. As Eilonwy saw that everyone looked as thigh they were dressed for royalty, she gulps as though she was pretty nervous on either getting kicked out of the area or being thrown in jail. She gulps as hears other people talking about this new Prince named Phillip. "Well, sweetie, remember, smile and wave to the new Prince. Be casual and kind." Mother did think positivity about the new king and so was Taran.

Sara payned no mind to all those people pointing and whispering about John, and while she whished she ahd the power to curse them all out and humilate them, she knew she couldn't risk making scene here. She was here to see and speak with John afterall, screw those guards giving ehr dirty looks. As John mentioned them, she jsut casually shrugged that problem off, her smile not faltering a bit. "Don't worry your pretty little head about these metalheads," she smiled taking a step closer towards him. She really whished she could touch him, give him a hug at least... anything really, to make this more bearable for him. He didn't deserve any of this! It was then ehr smile actually started to fall, the sorrow in ehr eyes finally starting to show. "I know you're innocent John..." she spoke sincerely, reaching her hand out and gently caressing his cheek. Sadly, she had to quickly pull away before the guards would've caught her. "Don't worry Charming, I'm not going to let my prince rot in a prison cell," she winked. "If anything, you should be rotting in a room filled with luxuries!"

John felt his smile grow a little at her words, Sara had a way of making him feel better even with just a few words. "Those metelheads might worry." He said lightly. One of the guards elbowed him roughly in the stomach so he'd shut up. He grimaced and slowly straightened at Sara's other words, "Well at least I have you believing in me, that means a lot." He said honestly, feeling a little better as she moved one hand to lightly run along his face. He chuckled as she kept talking, "Would I be locked up?" He asked, wishing he could hold her in his arms at that moment.

Anastasia secretly followed Garretts gaze and of course noticed the way he looked at the other female nobles around their age. For a moment it made her sad that obviously he wasn´t interested in her in a romantic way in her opinion but she enjoyed spending time with him and for the possibility to do so she was thankful. However as they reached the front she left more space between him and herself to show that they attended the coronation together only due formalities.

Rapunzel's eyes briefly left the throne and she spotted a small family of a mother and her two teenage children in the midst of the crowds. Their clothing was far simpler than the rest of the crowds and from the nervousness of the daughter, they were not meant to be there.
Glancing around to check that the guards' eyes weren't on her, she glided as gracefully as she could over to the family. The mother looked at her in somewhat shock, the Panic clear in her face. She gave the family a weary smile and whispered softly "Try to find somewhere a little more secluded to stand, if you want to see the event. There are a few areas in the room where guard's have blind spots, one is the corner I was standing in. They're littered around the room, if you stand there you're far less likely to get found out."

"Well I don't care," Sara shot back, referring to the 'metalheads' keeping her away from taking John with her. She flinched when one of the guards then elbowed him roughly, having to keep herself back from scratching the man's eyes out. GLaring at the guards with venom filled eyes, she teared ehr green eyes away from them to focus back on her prince, her expression immediately softening up. He shouldn't be here.... she thinks sadly. He's the one the crown belongs to. A warm smile spread over her lips at his words, the urge to embrace him and steal him away from all this only increasing. Holding ehrslef back was just getting harder and more difficult. "Yeah you would," she chuckled, giving him a cheeky smirk. "You'd be a treasure I'll guard and protect. Doesn't that sound nice?" she beamed. "Don't worry though, I'd take you out for walks."

John smiled at Sara as she kept talking, he loved it when she got like this. It made him feel that much better, "So long as I get to go on walks, I think I'd be just fine." He said with a charming smile. He honestly wouldn't mind being locked away in a place where only she was at, he wanted to be with Sara. Deep down in his heart of hearts, he knew he'd already fallen for the woman in front of him. He felt a little guilty, especially when he thought of the Princess Giselle. She deserved someone who loved her, like how John loved Sara. "Marry me?" He asked Sara as he smiled fondly at her. It was probably the worst timing in the world, and yet what better time? "There is no one else in the world that I'd rather be with." He added as he studied her lovingly.
