Naveen made his way through the streets, his arm draped around Eric's waist as they walked. It had already been a week since he had been back in Paradise and he had barely left Eric's side. After all, it had been so long since they had seen each other and he wanted to make up for lost time. They had certainly made up their time together in the bedroom, but Naveen felt like he owed Eric a night out. Eric had been wanting to show Naveen his bookstore ever since he was back in town so they decided to make an evening out of it. Plus he wanted to get his mind off of Aurora. Ever since he had talked with her, he couldn't get his mind off of their past. "You were right, your shop is pretty damn impressive Eric." Neveen grinned as he looked over at Eric. He remembered how Eric had loved books. They had always been once his favorites, even before her met eric. Naveen had even been the one to find him a few rare manuscripts for his collection. He tightened his grip around Eric's waist and leaned over, placing a kiss on his cheek. "Now how about we get some dinner? I know a great little place down by the harbor."

Eric grinned up at Naveen, "Well I still have the manuscripts you gave me, I keep them in my personal library." He admitted with a little blush. His smile grew as Naveen leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, "That sounds great, Just a reminder though I don't do seafood." He said with a little shake of his head. He felt eyes on him and looked up to see a familiar woman who turned to go but Eric waved at her. "Aurora! Hey, there's someone I'd love for you to meet!" He called and without really seeming to notice how uncomfortable both Naveen and Aurora seemed, headed towards Aurora. "Aurora this is my uh...friend Naveen, Naveen allow me to introduce you to my best friend Aurora." He said and smiled fondly at Aurora. Aurora gave Naveen a strained smile, "Naveen." She said tightly before turning her attention to Eric. Eric frowned as he slowly cottoned on to Aurora's reaction, "I see you two already know each other...it's not too bad is it?" He asked as his eyes flicked between both Aurora and Naveen.

Naveen laughed at Eric's words, barely even registering when Eric waved at someone across the street. When he looked up, Naveen immediately stopped in his tracks, not wanting to move a step closer. The whole point of tonight was for him to forget about her and yet here she was standing right in front of him. When Eric kept going though, he grit his teeth and caught up with him in a few steps. After Eric introduced them, Naveen didn't even bother trying to force a smile and kept his gaze glued on the woman in front of him. "Rose." Once Aurora shifted her attention back to Eric, Naveen loosened his shoulders slightly. It wouldn't do him any good to get upset by seeing her, especially in front of Eric. At Eric's words, Naveen cleared his throat and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Yes. We've...met. It's fine." Though Naveen was determined to remain civil, he couldn't help the feeling that rose in his chest at the sight of her. Only nights before, he had been fighting with her in her cave. He even transformed in front of her and he hated himself for it. Now she knew how he fought, even if it wasn't a big fight.

Eric raised an eyebrow as Aurora and Naveen glared at each other. "Uh huh....well I was just showing Naveen my bookstore, you know you should join us for dinner." He said brightly as he slung his arm to wrap around Naveen's. "I mean it's been awhile since I've talked to you Aurora and I'd love to hear all about you two." He added. Aurora almost grimaced as she thought about spending an evening with her former lover and his new one. Definitely not something she wanted to do and she was positive that Naveen felt the same. "Oh Eric, I really shouldn't I'd be intruding and I have errands to run." She said in as an apologetic a tone as she could possibly muster at that moment. She was still trying to get over the fact that Naveen was with Eric....she had never pegged him as someone who would go both ways. Then she wondered why she even cared, he probably was happy with Eric and Eric...he needed someone who would be there for him. Naveen for all his faults could be that person for him.

Naveen felt his muscles loosen as Eric wrapped his arm around his. The feeling of Eric being so close to him was enough to calm him down. He sighed and slipped his arm around Eric's waist, pulling his body up against his as grinned at Aurora. "Please Rose, you must join us. You two clearly have a lot to catch up on and I hate to get in the way of that. We're just going down to the harbor. I'll even pay." Naveen started walking again, keeping Eric pulled to his side. As they passed Aurora, Naveen reached out and wrapped his other hand around her waist, pulling her into step next to him. He felt her restrain against him but his grip tightened on her waist, not even caring if he was hurting her at all. "Don't say no, I'm sure you'll have plenty of time for your errands later." Naveen kept his arms around the two of them and continued on his way, taking them to the harbor.

Aurora had been on the verge of making her escape just when Naveen passed by her and wrapped an arm around her waist. If it hadn't been for his fast reflexes and her own restraint, she may have caused a scene. As it was, she merely glared at Naveen as he escorted both her and Eric towards the harbor. All the way there, she kept her body stiff and slightly turned away from Naveen. Eric didn't seem to notice her discomfort and instead raved about the books he had just added to his collection. If there was one thing, Aurora appreciated from Naveen it was how good he was for Eric. She hadn't seen Eric this open and enthusiastic about anything in a long time. "So Dimitri mentioned something to me about you and the new King...want to uh fill me in on the details?" Eric asked as they reached the resturant. Aurora froze and kept her gaze firmly away from Naveen at this question. "Don't believe everything you hear from Dimitri. He's still upset about what had happened with-" She broke off as she remembered that Naveen was listening to the conversation. The last thing Aurora wanted to admit was that one of her minions had disobeyed one of her orders and had attacked one of her friends. That would just make him mock her even more...something Aurora was quickly growing tired of.

Naveen took them both into the restaurant, enjoying the discomfort he was causing for Aurora. At the mention of Aurora and the new king, Naveen choked on his drink, almost spitting it out in front of him. He held up his hand, holding in a small laugh. "So sorry, go right ahead. You were talking about you and the uh, king was it? Really now?" He was almost baffled by the fact that she had even gotten involved with another human. After everything he had put her through, Naveen never expected her to even come out of hiding. He leaned back in his seat as he watched the conversation between the two. Eric seemed to light up as he spoke and Naveen couldn't help but find him adorable. That was one thing that he always loved about the man. When Aurora spoke, he couldn't help but grin and cross his arms as she glanced his way. "Oh don't stop on my account. So what happened this time?"

Aurora's eyes narrowed as Naveen started choking on his water and looked unimpressed as he mentioned it. "Not that it's any of your business but I do love a man who knows what he wants." She said and leaned back in her seat before she took another sip from her drink. Eric smirked at her words, "I'm starting to understand how you two hooked up." He said with a chuckle as he glanced at Naveen with some interest. He was even more interested then ever in finding out how Naveen and Aurora knew each other. At Naveen's next words Aurora gripped her glass with a white-knuckled grip. "Dimitri's boyfriend ran into a...minion of mine." She said flatly, refusing to say anything more on the subject. Eric frowned, "Wait a minute, Dimitri was telling the truth? About you know....raising someone from the dead?" He asked in a hushed undertone. Aurora sighed, wishing that Dimitri hadn't spilled everything. "......Yes." She said eventually, raising the dead was extremely tricky and sometimes could end in death. That and she knew that Naveen might have a problem with her doing something similar to someone else. "You know people were saying that a dragon lady helped stop the chaos demon during the Masquerade ball. That was you, wasn't it?" Eric asked with a little smile on his face. Aurora made a face, "Well yes and no, all I did was give a witch enough energy to banish the demon into a different dimension." She admitted with a shrug.

Naveen playfully nudged Eric with his elbow at his comment, letting him know he was treading in dangerous territory. He took another drink, fighting off a smile at her comment about men. Though he felt his muscles tense at the change in subject and he set his glass down on the table a little harder than he had planned on. His gaze hardened as he looked at her, doing his best to remain civil. "So it seems like yet another little plan of yours has backfired on you. I'm surprised you haven't learned your lesson yet." He knew the last words were a low blow but he didn't care. When Eric mentioned the ball, Naveen's eyes widened slightly, making sure to keep his mouth shut on the subject. In fact, rumors of that night had traveled to the kingdom across the sea and that was one of the reasons he came back. Deep down, he knew that the dragon had to have been Aurora, but just in case, he came prepared to take drastic measures again. He was determined to keep her as one of the last dragons and he quite honestly liked being the only dragon in his kingdom. The people feared him, even though they never knew what he looked like. Just hearing the rumors when he went into town was enough to satisfy him.

Aurora's lips tightened at Naveen's words but she wisely chose to keep her mouth shut. Eric frowned as he glanced between the two of them. "Right, ok then." He said and nodded sagely, only looking up as the waitress arrived with the menus for them to look at. Aurora looked relieved at the distraction as she accepted the menu that was handed off to her. Eric grinned as he glanced down at his menu, "Well I already have an idea of what to eat, what about you Naveen?" He asked as he smiled gently over at Naveen. Aurora kept her head lowered but looked up at the question, "So how did you two meet anyway?" She asked after a moment. Eric grinned at the question, "Well Naveen was the first person I ever actually met. He helped me learn how to walk among other things." He said and then frowned as he remembered how things had ended between him and Naveen. Aurora frowned and flicked her gaze up to look between the two of them, "Was this before I met you?" She asked after a moment, she had met Eric when he had tried to find someone to shut off his abilities. She had never actually discovered the reasons behind it though. Eric nodded slowly, his expression becoming downcast as he remembered how desperate he had become.

Naveen took a menu from the waitress, nodding his thanks before turning his attention to it. They had only been in each others company for a few minutes but he was already wanting to leave. Though he decided to stick it out, knowing that Eric had his own past with this woman and he didn't want to interrupt that. He glanced over when Eric asked him what he wanted to eat, offering him a small nod. Underneath the table, he took Eric's hand in his, gently squeezing it as if it was an apology for his behavior. Naveen knew he was being rude and he hated that Eric had to see that side of him. When Aurora asked how they had met, Naveen smiled softly to himself and stole a glance at Eric out of the corner of his eye. He could still remember that day like it was yesterday. Though when Eric's smile faded, Naveen set down him menu before running a hand through his hair. "Let's not talk about this now, alright? Tonight was supposed to be fun so let's keep it that way." Naveen leaned over and took Eric's chin, kissing his lips lightly before offering him a smile. He knew that Eric still felt terrible about that night but Aurora didn't need to know what happened. She wasn't involved in that part of his life and he preferred to keep it that way.

Aurora watched them interact, her hand flexing just a little bit as Naveen kissed Eric. She knew the two of them were together but somehow seeing them like this made her feel...jealous. Eric kissed Naveen back before smiling at him, "You're right of course." He said as squeezed Naveen's hand back. Aurora looked down at her plate, feeling like she was intruding and hating it. "I'm sorry Eric, I didn't mean to bring up bad memories." She apologized. Eric glanced over at her, "Don't, you were there when I was at my worst and I owe you my life." He said honestly. Aurora had been the one to convince him to keep his powers, and had helped train him to keep his control stable. Aurora was about to reply but then the waitress arrived, "So what can I get you tonight?" She asked. The woman ran her eyes over both Naveen and Eric with undisguised interest. Aurora had to bite down on her bottom lip not to start laughing as the waitress winked at Naveen. Aurora had a very good idea of just what the waitress wanted to give to Naveen if her looks were anything to go by. Eric frowned and slung an arm over Naveen, "I'll have the chicken marsala with the house wine." He said with a forced smile at the waitress. "I'll have the sausage stuffed giant rigatoni." Aurora said as she perused the menu before giving the waitress a very icy smile.

Naveen looked up as the waitress came to the table, not minding in the slightest that Eric slung his arm around his shoulders. "Salad for me, thanks." He noticed the waitress wink at him and he grinned. Had he been single, he wouldn't have hesitated to take her up on her unsaid offer, but now he had Eric and sitting across from him was his ex. Talk about bad timing. Naveen glanced over at Aurora, noticing that she was holding in a laugh and he rolled his eyes. He reached under the table, his hand groping at Eric's area before kissing his lips again. After a moment, he glanced up at the waitress and winked. When her gaze shifted over to Eric, he frowned and pulled Eric's body closer to his. "Sorry hun, he's taken." Once the waitress started to walk away, Naveen shouted after her. "Add a whole bottle of that wine while you're at it." He turned his attention back to Eric, keeping his hand on his area for a moment longer than he needed to. Though he knew Eric only went for men, Naveen couldn't help but get a little jealous when others took a pass at him.

Eric shifted as Naveen's hand landed on his area and he turned to give Naveen a wide eyed look. He wasn't quite able to protest as Naveen kissed him on the lips. Aurora cleared her throat after a few moments, seeming to sense Eric's downward shifting of thought. Eric blushed as Naveen's hand lingered on his covered area, it was almost torture not jumping Naveen then and there. "I can leave if you two want me too." Aurora said after a slightly heavy pause. She felt even more awkward as Eric gave her a confused look, "No Aurora, I haven't seen you in months. Besides I've missed talking to you." He said as he leaned against Naveen. He didn't even notice when the waitress came back and set a bucket on the table that contained ice and a bottle of wine. She set the glasses down with a thunk along with the corkscrew, and then left without even offering to open the bottle. "Well I'd say someone's a little jealous." Aurora commented once the waitress had left. She shook her head with amusement, she couldn't imagine getting upset over something so petty. Especially when the waitress had never met any of them before, it was a little mind boggling to say the least. "Well she sometimes swings by the bookstore, but I guess she just can't take no as a good enough answer." Eric slowly admitted with a little laugh. Aurora blinked at him, "Wait, she's been going to your bookstore?" She asked dumbfounded. Eric looked pained but nodded, "Unfortunately." He said as he watched the waitress leave.

Naveen couldn't help but laugh at Eric's reaction, nudging his shoulder against Eric's playfully. "Sorry, you know I had to." He couldn't help the grin that was on his face. Anytime someone tried to hit on Eric, Naveen would always make it very clear that Eric was his and he had no shame in it. At Aurora's words, Naveen glanced over at her with a bored look before he smirked and held up his hands in a surrender. "I'm done, I swear." He looked up as the waitress came back to the table with the wine, smirking at her attitude. Naveen picked up the corkscrew, opening the bottle in one swift motion before he took Aurora's glass and filled it with wine. Next he took Eric's and then his own before returning the bottle to it's bucket. Though when Eric mentioned the girl had been stopping by the bookstore, he glanced at the waitress over his shoulder and frowned. "If she's bothering you, I'll be more than happy to take care of it. You know I don't like people messing with you, and I hate to share." Naveen glared down at his glass before taking a large gulp of his wine, nearly draining the whole glass. Eric knew that it bothered him but Naveen needed to keep his cool. He had already been a jerk to Aurora and he planned on being nice for the rest of the evening.
