Cale walked aimlessly in the forest, blond hair damp from accidentally falling into a pond and having to climb back out of it. He was mostly dry by now, thank goodness, but was still a little wet. Which he hated being a cat, even as a human he wasn’t a fan of water for anything more than drinking. The young man stopped to take stock of where he was and realized he had no idea what part of the forest he was in. Plus, it was getting dark. Cale rubbed his arms lightly as an involuntary shiver overtook him. The forest was always kind of creepy at night. Even with night vision eyes it was super creepy. If he didn't find his way back out soon he would have to spend the night in the woods and that was the last thing he wanted. If he had been in his cat form his ears would have been flat against his head. As it was, he kept his arms wrapped around himself and continued walking, hoping he wasn't going in circles.

"You look lost." A gentle voice said and across from Cale stood Jasmine leaning against a tree as she studied Cale with silent amusement. "Anything I can do to help?" She asked, her eyes studying Cale's dripping wet form with growing interest. She was after all a succubus and had urges that even when completely sated didn't quite leave her, "I can show you back into town." She added after a moment, while she should be on her guard Jasmine was confidant enough in herself that she wasn't completely worried. All the same she kept her guard up while keeping a pleasant enough composure it wouldn't do too alert the man after all. |

Cale jumped at the voice, gentle as it might have been, and whipped to where it originated. He stared warily at the strange woman, hackles metaphorically up. He regarded her silently for a long moment, head cocked to one side. Cale paced around Jasmine much like a cat would. He sensed some danger, but couldn't place it with the woman. Maybe it was just the forest. He walked back to his original position and shrugged. "...I could do with some help getting back into town" he finally conceded, sighing. She was pretty perceptive. But, even with the offered help, he wouldn't thank her till after she had shown him back to town.

Jasmine smiled, "Don't worry I'm harmless." She said as she moved to lead the way, "So how come you're all dripping wet? Did you take an unexpected dip in the river?" She added over her shoulder as she glanced back at him. She definitely didn't mind the view, the newcomer was pretty cut as his shirt seemed to suggest if she was any judge. "I mean I don't mind." She added with a small smirk. |

Cale shot her a look at the last comment and folded his arms over his chest once more. This woman made him a bit uncomfortable, if he was being honest. Though it was confusing because she was so friendly. Maybe that was the problem, he just wasn't used to friendly people anymore. "Yea, I took a tumble into the river" he mumbled in embarrassment. "It was stupid of me"

"Well you don't want to catch a cold, don't worry I'll have us back in town before then." Jasmine said as she focused on the road ahead of her, she was careful not to let any of her usual signs show. Of course she could manipulate him a little but she preferred everything to be mutual. She smiled as a little breeze swept some of her hair back, the fresh air put a little bounce in her step. "You're lucky, I was on a little stroll." She added after a moment, the man didn't seem all that interested in making conversation. "My name is Jasmine by the way." She said gently.

He smiled faintly. She was pretty nice seeming. “Being kind to strangers in the forest. Isn’t that dangerous? For all you know I could be something that can kill you” Why was she helping him? He wasn’t exactly being cuddly over here. Cale glanced at the woman in surprise when she introduced herself and nodded once. “I’m Cale” he said briefly and rubbed his arms a little to generate some warmth. He was wishing for his fur at this moment, it was dryer than his clothes.

"For some people I imagine it would be but I do know how to handle myself just fine. As I'm sure you yourself do." She added thoughtfully as she glanced back at him with a soft smile on her lips. "Don't worry though I'm not dangerous." She said with a playful wink back in his direction. "I know of a few ways to warm you right up." The words left her without much of a second thought. |

He gave her an odd look. "Yes, I can take care of myself just fine. It's the people around me who often have trouble doing alright" They kept getting hurt in cruel and unusual ways and he seriously wondered if it was because they knew him. Knowing him certainly hadn't helped Heidi. He smirked at the wink. "I might be, though" he told her, equally playfully. Cale's face turned bright red at the last comment and he coughed. "Um...not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the offer, though" he was still blushing though. She wasn't bad looking at all, but he really didn't feel like that at the moment.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Jasmine said with a frown, meaning it she could understand how it would be hard for people to take care of themselves. She smiled as he flirted back, it was good to see he wasn't entirely aloof that would make conversation a little easier. "Too bad, I don't offer often." She said with a little laugh, even though she said it in a teasing tone her words weren't untrue. While she was a succubus, Jasmine was careful with who she let near her and Phoebus was one of the few people she could trust to get her the right kind of person. |

Again Cale went cherry red and he briefly wondered if he should just go ahead and go with it. But there was still that sense of danger coming off of her and why on earth did she want to do anything with him in the first place? She knew absolutely nothing about him! "I'm cursed with bad luck" he said abruptly. "People around me get very unlucky and get very hurt or worse. It usually happens when I get close to someone. Do you really want to risk it?"
