After Naveen had shown her around the Mansion, Chel was more then a little overwhelmed. Her aunt had bandaged her up and had been really sweet if a little quiet. She let out a sigh and rested her head against the window, she was still sore from what had happened earlier. Of all the things she had expected to have happen, this wasn't one of them. Her dad was alive, and her hopes for some kind of revenge against dragons was going to be put on hold it seemed. She made a face and lay down on the bed, trying to find some comfortable position. Her head still throbbed whenever she put pressure on the wound, so she shifted to the side. Eventually, she fell asleep sometime during the night and wasn't even aware of getting out of bed and moving outside. There was a terrible rainstorm going on, but Chel didn't even register it as she wandered outside still asleep. A loud crack of thunder sounded and Chel jolted awake, slowly realizing just where she was. "What the fuck?" She asked as she stared around herself. The headache that she had had earlier was now almost too overbearing. Chel whimpered and pressed a shaking hand to her forehead, feeling her legs give out on her. The cold air and rain made her feel even more disoriented as she struggled to stay conscious.

Naveen had left Chel with Nita last night, letting her get bandaged up and settled in. Besides, he had barely seen Eric in months and they certainly needed some time to catch up. He spent the night with him, making up for enough lost time between them to last a long while. Naveen had been fast asleep in bed, Eric snuggling into his bare chest as he shivered beneath the covers. He held his body close, keeping him warm throughout the night. A loud crack of thunder suddenly jostled the room, Naveen's body flinching at the sound as it suddenly woke him. A groan flew past his lips as he ran a hand over his face, his arms wrapping around Eric's shoulders. A consistent thudding sound from downstairs tugged at his mind until he finally gave in to find out what it was. He carefully slid Eric off of his chest and into the bed before he got up and pulled on a loose pair of pajama pants. Naveen made his way down the stairs but he suddenly stopped when he noticed the front doors were open, banging against the frame in a frenzy as the wind and rain burst through soaking the floor. Confusion washed over his face as he moved towards the doors, ignoring the water around his feet. His gaze fought to see through the rain but when he saw a silhouette off in the distance, his heart dropped. Without even thinking, Naveen burst outside and ran towards it, the rain soaking his bare skin and his pants clung to his body. His feet pounded through the puddles until he was close enough to the form, immediately recognizing it as Chel. What was she doing out here in this storm? Plus, it was freezing since winter was coming faster that he was surprised this rain wasn't sleet or hail. Once he was close enough, Naveen knelt down next to Chel's body and put one hand on her shoulder, holding up his other to try and shield some of the rain from her face. "Chel, what the hell are you doing out here?"

Chel let out a cry of pain and only dimly was aware of Naveen's presence. "It...hurts." She moaned and raised her head to look at Naveen, not even aware of how red her eyes had become. "Make it stop." She whimpered, her nose started to bleed from the pressure, and then the sound of her bones crackling sounded. Chel doubled over in pain and grimaced as a pair of gold and black wings sprouted from her back. The transformation didn't stop there though, and her body rippled as it shifted and changed growing longer and thicker with more muscles and scales. A cry left her lips and turned into a fearsome snarl as Chel's teeth elongated into fangs and her face became dragon like. The pain was still fresh and she was doubled over in pain, letting out little whimpers as the change became complete.

Naveen gave her a confused look when she said it hurt and his eyes widened as blood started to drip from her nose, her eyes glowing a deathly red. He remembered that feeling all to well and knew exactly what was happening to her. His heart sank but just as soon as he was going to try and comfort her, she cried out in pain and he fell back as her body started to expand. Her wings sprouted from her back and Naveen fell back onto the ground, watching as her form grew and grew before him. As her body towered over him, it blocked the rain from falling on him and he was able to look up at her, seeing clearly for only a moment. "Just don't fight it, believe me, it only makes it worse!" He had to shout through the rain so she could hear him, debating if he should transform as well. She was changing for the first time and he remembered how violent he had been. It would be dangerous for him to remain in his human form but she didn't need any extra stimulation to drive her even more crazy. "Chel, just focus on my voice! You'll be fine, I promise!" He pushed himself to his feet, taking slow steps towards her before resting his hand lightly on her arm. It probably wasn't a smart move but she had to get a grip on reality and focus on him instead of the pain.

Chel's ears perked as she heard someone shouting at her, she knew the words were being directed at her but she couldn't distinguish them. Her whole body reacted as she felt someone touch her arm, and she flung the person back blindly as she snarled at him. Her claws snagged across his chest and tore into his skin, digging in due to the motion. All she wanted in that moment was to rip the insolent creature into shreds for touching her. Somehow through her consciousness however, she recalled who she was and she let out a howl of horror. She released Naveen and saw him collapse to the ground, "No...please oh please, don't die!" Chel mumbled as she stared down at the man on the ground, her eyes on the blood that spread out from his wounds. What had she done? Sheer panic filled her as the very real possibility of Naveen dying because of her hit her. She couldn't let that happen, with a whimper she felt her body start to shrink back to it's normal size. In a haze, she stumbled towards Naveen doing her best to stay upright. "You...are not...dying on me." She whispered as she reached him and then collapsed in a faint.

Naveen stumbled back when she reared back, her arm clearly gearing up for an attack. Before he could move, her nails scraped across his chest, digging in deep until his body was thrown back. His back slammed against a tree and he felt his spine crack in different places. A cry flew past his lips and he fell to the ground when she released him, his body refusing to move for a moment. Blood was pouring out of his wounds at an alarming rate as his heart pounded, only pushing the blood faster throughout his veins. His hands pulled at the grass beneath him body as pain shot through him, barely even registering when Chel came up to him, clearly herself once more. He had just been about to respond to her when she suddenly collapsed on the ground next to him and he cursed. "Damn it Chel, you can't do this now." He grit his teeth as he pushed himself up on his arms, doing is best to ignore the shooting pain in his body. His arms slipped around her body, holding her to his chest before pushing to his feet. A cry left his lips as blood spilled from him faster but he powered through it as he stumbled back to the house with her in his arms. The wind blew hard, nearly knocking him to his knees and he stumbled forward. Once they made it up the front steps, Naveen faintly heard Nita calling for him from inside. Their bodies stumbled through the front door as the doors continued to bang against their frames and his gaze rose to see Nita on the staircase. "Nita..." His words came out in a whisper as he struggled to keep his mind focused. The rain had caused his blood to spill down his body, covering him in various degrees of red as he clutched Chel's unconscious body to his chest. He opened his mouth to say something but suddenly his vision plunged him into a world of darkness. His body crumbled to the ground, his knees clanging against the floor before Chel tumbled out of his arms and he too was laying unconscious on the cold floor. He could faintly hear Nita's cries echoing in the mansion as they became muffled more and more to the point that he was completely deaf to them. Blood fanned out beneath him from the gashes on his chest and the wound on the back of his head, leaving his skin cold and pale to the touch. Had it not been for his faint breathing, he could have easily been mistaken for dead but he wasn't going to give up just yet. He had lost a lot of blood when he caused extra stress on his body from carrying Chel that mile back to the house but he had to hang on as long as he could, despite the fact that all he wanted to do was just give in and sleep forever.

Nita sat bolt upright as she heard the sounds of a dragon outside, growing up as a dragon hunter she was very familiar with the sound. It had sounded close, and she panicked as she remembered Naveen's new ability. What if something had happened and he was hurt? She slid out of her bed and fumbled around in the dark for her bathrobe, which she clumsily tied together with shaking fingers. Somehow she knew there was there something wrong and she needed to check for herself. It was through a panic that she flung her door open and managed to reach the staircase, just in time to see Naveen stumble in. Blood...that was the first thing that she registered as she saw him face her. A horrified cry left her lips as she watched him collapse, whispering her name. Her heart was beating so fast, she was sure she would have fainted then and there if it hadn't been for her firm grip on the railing. She all but flew down the stairs in a mad rush to check on Naveen and make sure he wasn't dead. He was her first priority, and once she had reached him she nearly stumbled to the ground. "Naveen." She whispered as she gently cradled his head on her lap as she stared down at him, tears fell fast and hard as she struggled not to panic. "I can't lose you...I love you." She said, her fingers gripping onto him before she bent and brushed her lips against his in a fruitless attempt to bring him back. "That won't work." A tired voice said behind her, and Nita whirled around to see Aurora standing there. She looked nearly as bad as Nita felt, but her eyes were on Naveen. "Allow me." She said and stepped past Nita to asses the damage before her. She knelt by his side and took his hand, a warm golden light spreading from her hand to cover his whole body. Nita watched with wide eyes as she saw the wounds close and heal, until there was no sign of there ever being damage. Once every wound was taken care of, Aurora turned her attention to Chel. "There's a lot more to her then I thought...and I don't have as much information as I'd like. I'll help you put Naveen and Chel into beds and then I'm going to see what I can find out." Aurora said quietly. Nita nodded in understanding and after both Naveen and Chel were in beds, she stayed by Naveen's side. Chel had come in sometime during the night, but didn't say a word to Nita instead keeping her gaze fixed on Naveen before she left. Nita had been about to follow after her, but Chel had yelled at her not to follow before taking off. Chel probably didn't trust Nita enough to tell her what was going on and Nita could understand and respect that, but she was worried. Her whole body shook as she sat back down on the chair next to Naveen's side. His blood still covered her clothes and most of her skin, but Nita didn't care...all she kept thinking about was how Naveen had come in soaked in blood. It was something Nita didn't want to see anytime soon after tonight.

Naveen's body twitched in a jerky movement before he sucked in a sharp breath and his eyes flew open. He shot up in the bed, his chest rising and falling rapidly with his breathing. His hands gripped at the sheets as a sudden wave of nausea washed over him as his world went spinning from sitting up too fast and he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment until it passed. Memories of what has happened the night before flashed through his mind and his hands instantly went to his chest. Though when his fingertips made contact with the skin, he froze. There were no gashes across his chest, no blood to stain his hands. He looked down and there wasn't even a new scar. His chest looked like it had before, no change. A shakey breath flew past his lips and then he suddenly realized Nita was sitting right next to him. He stared at her and could see that her mouth was moving but he couldn't hear her. After a few moments, a ringing flew through his ears causing him to wince until it passed and he could suddenly hear her voice. "What happened? Where is she?" He flung the covers off his body, not even caring that he had been naked underneath. Nita must have stripped off his soaked pants once he was inside and he was silently grateful. Before he could even get out of bed though, Nita had him by the shoulders, trying to get him to lie back down. He resisted until a second wave of nausea washed over him and forced him back into the plush surface.

Nita's eyes widened as Naveen suddenly sat up and one hand flew up to cover her mouth. "I thought you weren't going to wake up." She admitted as she stared at him with her whole body shaking. He didn't seem to understand her as he asked her where Chel was. Nita kept her gaze trained on Naveen's face and moved to gently push him back onto the bed wen she saw a nauseated look cross his face. "I don't know what happened....all I know is that you almost died. Chel is resting in another room and Aurora is the one who healed you." Nita continued as she sat back against the chair with a frown. She moved to adjust the blankets so he was covered once more and hated how shaky she felt at that moment. "What the hell happened out there?" She asked quietly as she looked up at Naveen with a worried look.

Naveen frowned and ran his hand through his hair as he tried to recall what had happened. "I uh..I found her out in the rain and tried to bring her inside.." His voice broke off for a moment before trying to push himself up on his arms. "I need to see her Nita. She's..she's a dragon, like me. I never thought my powers would be carried down...she didn't understand what was happening and lashed out. It's my fault for not being more careful." His hand moved up to his chest once more, tracing where her claws had broken the skin. Aurora had healed him? Why would she do that after everything he's done? "Why was Aurora here? What happened after I passed out?" Worry showed on his face for Chel as well as Aurora. He didn't know if she had come to take revenge on Chel for attacking her or if she even knew that Chel was his daughter yet. What would she say? Naveen forced himself to sit up once he was feeling better and gave Nita a begging look. "I need to see her. She needs to know that I'm okay."

Nita let out a shaky breath, "A dragon? But that's-" She had been about to say impossible, but after seeing Naveen's wounds she knew it was the truth. "She was fine earlier but she came in to check on you a few hours ago. She looked like she had seen a ghost...when I asked if she was doing all right she freaked out. I think she went back to her room, but I wanted to give her some privacy after everything that's happened." Nita admitted gently. Aurora burst into the room, only a few moments after Nita had said this "Chel's gone." She said and then when she saw Naveen was up she winced. "I went to check on her, and all of her belongings were gone. I'd say she's been gone for a few hours." She said cautiously as she looked down.

Naveen nodded at her words and lowered his gaze. He had thrown a lot at her in the past twenty-four hours and he had no doubt that she was exhausted. Just as he was about to agree that he'd see her later, Aurora burst into the room, causing him to jump and his gaze flew to her. His muscles tensed at her words and his gaze darkened before his grip tightened into fists. "Shit..I have to go after her." Naveen flung the sheets off once more, making his way across the room to his wardrobe. The world around him spun slightly but he pushed it down as he pulled on a pair of underwear and pants in a rush. Chel had no idea how dangerous she was when she wasn't in control like that and he had to catch her before it was too late. "If I move fast, I can catch up to her. She couldn't have gone far." He ran his hand through his hair as he paced, thinking of what he needed to take.

Nita's eyes widened as Naveen all but jumped out of bed, "Are you crazy? You almost died! You're still weak on your feet, you're in no condition to go out there on your own!" Nita protested as Naveen pulled on some underwear and pants. Aurora sighed, "Nita's right Naveen, you're still too weak. I can track her from above, the rain is still strong enough that I should be able to fly unnoticed. You've done enough for one night Naveen, let me take it from here." She insisted with a frown. "You can always find me in the morning, but for right now you really need to rest. If you go out there now, you could get seriously ill and I'd have no way of finding you." Aurora pointed out as she leaned against the doorway with her arms folded. "I still have no idea what's going on, but I'm guessing she's your daughter? That's the only explanation I can gather from the wounds I saw on your chest earlier." Aurora added as she narrowed her gaze at him.

Naveen spun around to look at Nita, wrapping his sword holster around his waist as his fingers fumbled with the straps. "What am I supposed to do Nita? I can't let her go out here and get herself killed because she doesn't understand what's going on." He wasn't sure why it bothered him so much that she was gone, after all he had only just found out about her the day before but he couldn't help but feel guilty. She was a dragon because of him and he couldn't abandon her. Not again... Though at Aurora's words, he felt an annoyance tugging at the back of his mind and bit his tongue. She had figured it out...But he couldn't focus on that right now. Surely she would have questions later but he had to find Chel first. Why was she always around now after what he did to her? She should hate him and enjoy his misery, not be helping him. "And why are you helping me all of this time, Rose? After all the shit I put you through, you're still here. You healed Nita, helped me get her back, you even kept me from dying and now you want to help me find my daughter? Did i miss something along the way?" Naveen pulled on a loose cotton shirt before buttoning it up and shoving the tail end hastily into his pants. He knew he was being irrational but he could already feel his fatherly instincts taking over him and all he cared about was finding her despite what it may do to him.

Nita bit down on her bottom lip at Naveen's words, she knew he wasn't in a good mood and she couldn't blame him. "I'm helping you because I care about you, because I want to make things right between us. I know you don't love me anymore Naveen and I understand that. In fact I respect that, but I feel somewhat responsible for Chel's position. If I hadn't turned you into a weredragon, then she'd probably just be a dragon hunter. She wouldn't have attacked you and she wouldn't have lost her mother. I've made a lot of mistakes Naveen, and I intend on at least trying to make things right." Aurora said and let out a sigh, "I have tried so hard to make things right, but it feels like I'm never going to actually make things good between us." She shook her head and then turned to leave, "I'm going after her, I'd prefer it if you stayed to rest but if you really want to come along you can." She added over her shoulder, before she turned and left. Nita glanced over at Naveen and then down at herself, "Just promise me you'll be careful....I can't lose you again. I thought you were dead...and I've never been so scared." Nita said quietly as she ran a hand along her blood stained robe. "Chel needs you now, I know that and I am not going to stand in the way of that." Nita added as she gave him a strained smile.
