Naveen glanced down at his hands when Aurora turned to leave, feeling even worse after blowing up at her. She was just trying to keep things civil between them and he wasn't giving her a chance. He sighed and looked over at Nita before taking a few steps towards her, grabbing her hands lightly in his. "I'm sorry Nita...but I can't lose anyone else. I promise to you that I will come back and when I do, I'll make it up to you." He tugged at the dragon's tooth necklace around his neck and draped it over her head until it fell around her neck. It was something that he never took off to remind himself of who he used to be and what he'd done. "Keep this safe for me. When I come home, you better have it. Just don't forget me again..." He leaned down and pressed a gentle yet desperate kiss against her lips before he pulled back slightly. His hand moved up and caressed her cheek. "I'll come back, I promise." He gave her hand one last smile before he turned, grabbing his cloak and disappeared from the room.
He raced down the steps, gripping the railing to keep himself steadied. The girls had been right, he was in no condition to go out in this weather but he didn't care. Chel was more important and it wasn't like he was nursing any injuries thanks to Aurora, he just had to get over the weakness that he felt in his body. He caught up with Aurora but before she could go outside, he reached out and gripped her arm, puling her body towards him. Before she could say a word, he had his lips pressed against hers in a passionate kiss. He was surprised that she didn't slap him like she had the night he showed up drunk but he made sure to keep it a quick one just in case she was about to. Once he pulled away, he moved a stray strand of hair out of her face and stared down at her eyes. "Don't just assume that my feelings are completely gone. That was a thank you...now come on, before this storm lets up." He pulled back, keeping his face hardened as he headed outside into the storm, not so much as sparing a glance back at her.
