It had been months since Naveen and Aurora had left to travel around Paradise in search of Chel. He had let Aurora go back home every now and then so she could be with Phillip and while she was gone, he would always catch up on rumors traveling between the kingdoms. She'd bring back word of Nita every now and then along with letters she had written to him but Naveen never wrote back. It was impossible to put his feelings into words so he just decided to save them all for when he was finally home with her again.
Naveen sat by the window in their room at the inn, looking out over the lake shimmering in the sunlight. Papers littered their room as he had maps pinned up on the walls and statements scattered across the table before him. He knew Aurora would throw a fit since he made a mess every single time she left but he didn't care. Black x's marked where they had already searched and he scribbled red over the papers before him and he groaned in frustration. Months of searching and there was no sign of her. He leaned back in his chair, propping his feet up on the table as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. Every second since they had left he spent gathering information and searching. Of course he managed to eat and sleep whenever Aurora pestered him enough. There were times that he actually looked forward to her being away, since he could get sucked into his work and not worry about having to take breaks.

Aurora barged into the room without so much as a hello, only giving the room a despairing look. "You look worse then when I left." She said flatly as she took in Naveen with a frown. She shook her head and moved forward, to sit across from Naveen. "Either way, you'll be happy to hear what I found out." Without waiting for Naveen to interrupt, Aurora kept talking "There was a bank that got broken into by one gold and black dragon. And it just so happens to have been in this town." She added with a wink, this would have been the first close news that Naveen and Aurora had had of Chel since she had taken off. The news varied from town to town, and they were usually break ins much like the bank. It made Aurora wonder just what Chel was doing, it didn't make any sense.

Naveen jumped when the door suddenly swung open, nearly falling out of his seat and gripped the table to keep himself steadied. "Damn it Rose, I was just starting to doze off..." He ran his hand over his face as he kicked his feet off the table and sat up straight. At her words, his eyes widened and he leaned forward, opening his mouth to ask her what she had found out but she cut him off, causing him to give her a look. Though the look quickly vanished at the news and a smile broke across his lips. He rifled through some papers on the table, pulling out every single one the referenced a gold and black dragon and rolled them up in his hands, playfully tapping them against the side of the table. "Well let's get going! I'm tired of hiding out in this stupid room." He got up from his seat and pulled his cloak out of the closet. "Which bank and how long ago? We've been in this town for weeks and nothing has happened, finally we've got a lead."

Aurora watched as he grabbed his cloak and waited until he was dressed before she stood up. "It was the city bank, they still have the guards down there clearing the area. I heard witnesses say she was headed northeast, if we hurry we can catch up." She said as she opened the door and waited for Naveen to join her. "We can't scare her off Naveen, this is the first real solid lead that we've had in months. We need to tread carefully, I can't shake the feeling that there's more going on then what we know." She continued carefully. "She's only been hitting banks, and every time she does it's quick and brutal. This is the first time that's she been sighted in broad daylight too, so I think we should be careful with how we approach her." Aurora pointed out as she led the way out of the building.

Naveen nodded at her words, almost ignoring her as he locked the door behind them so no one would be able to get in. The last thing they needed was someone walking in and thinking they were terrorists or something. He slipped his arm around her waist, ignoring how tense she got under his touch. She had been acting weird ever since he kissed her the night they left but he dismissed it, chalking it up to her pregnancy hormones. "Sorry, but you know we have to keep up appearances just in case..." He whispered in her ear before he pulled her close to him as they walked. They had both agreed that they would pretend to be a married couple as they traveled, considering how much she was showing now. He knew she had to be getting close to her due date but he was grateful that she had decided to stay with him while he searched. If he had to have done this all on his own, Naveen surely would have blown it. She was right, this was the first attack in broad daylight and he was starting to get suspicious. Chel didn't seem like the kind of girl to use her powers like this, even after the way she had reacted when she first changed.

Aurora felt her body tense, but she didn't make a scene. She knew Naveen was right and slowly felt her body relax as they kept walking. "Don't worry about it." She said and smiled at him, a part of her missed moments like this from when they had dated. It was hard not to remember the times when they had dated, and had dreamed of having a child of their own. Now that she was pregnant with another man's child, well it was different and she hated that. "So how should we proceed with this? I mean should we track her by flying or did you have something else in mind?" She asked in a undertone as she leaned against him, as if she really was a happily married woman.

Naveen grinned at her leaning into him as a guard passed by. "How about you go overhead and I'll go by foot. I don't want you around if something goes wrong. Your little prince would kill me if something happened to you." He led her out of the town, following the path in the direction Chem had been seen going. When he caught up to her, she'd have a lot of explaining to do, that was for sure. "If you have an issue and need to hide, just let me know by our little emotions trick. It's discreet enough for you to get to safety and I'll come find you. I promise."

Aurora nodded, "Right...well in that case I should probably get going. The same thing goes for you though, if anything comes up let me know." She said quietly and before he could move she had leaned up and kissed him on the lips. "I'll see you later honey." She said once she had pulled away, as a few people walked by and smiled at the affectionate display. She squeezed his hand before she pulled away and walked off, her head lowered. Not many people paid attention to the pregnant woman as she left the square. However there was one man who did and he nodded to his men who fanned out. As Aurora made her way towards the woods, a man came up behind with a chloroform soaked handkerchief that he applied over her nose. The effect was almost instant as Aurora struggled briefly before she succumbed to the effects. Once the men had taken her away, Eddie made his way to Naveen. "Well fancy seeing you here. I thought you would have been with your sister." He said as if talking about the weather as he smirked down at Naveen.

Naveen smiled softly as she kissed his lips and watched her walk away before turning his attention back to the path. It was moments like that that reminded him of how they used to be. Back then, they had been so in love and now...he was finally getting over hating her. He shook his head, pushing the thoughts away and started to walk forwards with his hands shoved in his pockets. A small wave of nausea washed over him and he frowned as he stopped his steps. It had been months since he had been recovering from Chel's attack so he shouldn't be feeling any effects after all this time. A voice from behind him caught his attention and he looked over his shoulder only to see Eddie standing behind him. He felt his muscles tense at the sight of him and his fingers traced along the handle of the knife in his pocket. "Oh...Eddie, right? What are you doing on this side of Paradise. I thought by the amount of money you were throwing around that you owned that dive of a strip club." Naveen glared at the man, knowing all to well that he was being rude but he didn't care. This guy seemed like a prick, even from the moment he first met him only in passing. "As for Nita, she's none of your concern anymore. She may have trusted you but don't think I am so easy."

Eddie chuckled, "I've actually moved up in the world...I'm very well off now. In fact I've been playing my cards just right, and I must say you have played along just beautifully." Before Naveen could move two men had grabbed him from behind and held him in place. "Now before you lash out, your little blonde friend....she's a little indisposed at the moment. I'd really not create too much of a scene, you see she'll die if anything happens to me or any of my friends here." Eddie said with a wide grin. With a nod to one of his men, Eddie watched as Naveen was put under with chloroform. Once he was unconscious, Eddie led his men out of the street and to a remote location.

Aurora woke up with her head pounding and feeling extremely dizzy. The reason for that was because of a ring on her finger, she recognized it immediately and felt panic well up inside her. Across from her also tied to a chair was Naveen, he was still unconscious just like she had been. On his finger was a ring just like Aurora's, one that made it difficult for any supernatural and fantasy creature to do anything much less think straight. "You promised you'd leave my dad out of this!" A very angry voice said and Aurora looked around to see Chel glaring up at a man who was very built. "I lied, now unless you really want to piss me off, I'd suggest you leave." The man added and waited for Chel to leave, which she did but very loudly. "I see you're up....I never would have pegged you for a dragon. I guess appearances are deceiving aren't they?" The man said as he turned towards Aurora. Aurora jerked, not able to move as much as she would have liked as the man approached her. "And you're a feisty one...I'd love to break you, but you're not the reason we're here." The man said with a wink at her.

Naveen had just been about to pull the knife out of his pocket when he suddenly felt two men come up from behind him and hold him in place. He had just been about to burn them all to a crisp but as soon as he mentioned that they had Aurora, he froze. "I swear if you hurt her, I will kill you all." Naveen's words came out harsh as he glared at Eddie, his eyes flashing a burning red. Suddenly a rag was on his face and he tried to hold his breath, knowing all to well what soaked the fabric before him. He sucked in a sharp breath when one of the men elbowed him in the side and he cursed himself as he slipped into unconsciousness.

His body was slumped over in the chair and ropes held his arms behind the chair, digging into his skin that would leave bruises later on. Muffles of screams echoed around him and he groaned, realizing that it was Chel. His arms tugged at the restraints holding him down and forced his body to straighten as his eyes flew open. The world spun around him and he grimaced at the pounding in his head. Across from him, he saw Eddie advancing towards Aurora and anger instantly flashed through him. He tried to transform but a sudden pang of pain shot through his spine, causing him to cry out and his back slammed against the back of the chair in frustration. His powers weren't working, leaving him completely useless in the situation. "Back the fuck up Eddie or I swear..." His voice came out rough but he did his best to keep it strong against how he was feeling. When Eddie turned to him, Naveen looked up at him, his eyes glowing their blood orange color though it was the only thing he could do. He couldn't hurt Eddie because something was blocking his powers and if he tried, whatever was holding him back punished him for it. Besides, he had to keep Aurora safe at all costs. The last thing he needed was to have the king chasing him for getting her into this.

"Or you'll what?" Eddie asked as he turned to look back at Naveen with a raised eyebrow before he punched him in the face. "Stop!" Aurora yelled, as she saw the blood sliding down from Naveen's lip. "You know I should be thanking you, if it hadn't been for you I never would have gotten the chance to meet your lovely daughter. Or for that matter the chance to marry Nita, imagine how horrified she was to find out that I knew about Chel. That I had taken her after she ran out of the house...Of course we were able to come to a compromise. In fact you will be getting front row seats to a very special event, and this time no interruptions." Eddie said, his smile widening as he looked a little past Naveen's shoulder as Nita appeared. It was clear Nita had been crying, and she let out a sob as she saw both Naveen and Aurora. "You promised you wouldn't hurt them!" She yelled as she stormed up to Eddie with her hands balled into fists but was grabbed by one of Eddie's men before she could reach him. "Now now, there's no need to get so worked up. He's fine, but you still have to fulfill your end of the bargain." Eddie said as he approached her with a growing smirk.

Naveen grunted when Eddie punched him in the face, a ring on the man's hand cutting into his bottom lip. His head hung low for a moment before he looked up with an even angrier look on his face. At the mention of how he got a hold of Chel and even Nita, Naveen growled and tensed his hands into fists. "You touch my sister again and I will rip out your throat, I swear to the gods." Though when he noticed Eddie look past him and heard Nita's voice, he cursed under his breath. This son of a bitch had every woman he loved in one room and he knew exactly how to use them against him. "Look, if your problem is with me, then you don't need to bring these girls into it. Let them go and we can deal with this like men instead of making petty threats." He glared at the man, keeping his muscles tensed in case he punched him again. If he could get at least Aurora to safety, he could take care of the rest, though he was still terrified that Nita had even given in to this man. He knew his suspicions were right about Eddie and he thought they were done with the whole thing when he talked Nita into not marrying him.

Nita struggled in the man's arms looking as if she'd like nothing more then to punch Eddie in the face. "You bastard!" She snapped as she lashed out at him with her feet, managing to kick him in the groin. Eddie doubled over with a grunt and Nita took the opportunity to throw her head back against the man who was holding her causing his nose to break. Nita freed herself but then she froze as Eddie straightened and ruthlessly backhanded her. She collapsed with a grunt, her head ringing from the blow as she tried to process her surroundings. "You keep fighting and you'll only make things worse for yourself." Eddie warned as he picked her up by the collar and lifted her so she was eye to eye with him. "I'll never stop fighting you...as long as you keep them with you, I'll never stop! If you let them go, I'll do what you want...just let them go." Nita whispered, keeping her gaze trained on Eddie. Eddie frowned at her words and then glanced over at Naveen, "He's going to see our wedding Nita...and what happens next." He smirked at Naveen with a taunting expression. Nita shook her head, "No." She said as firmly as she could but it was hard as her whole body was shaking. Eddie frowned and picked her up by the hair, "I don't take no for an answer, you agreed earlier." He said as he brought her face closer to his own. Nita jerked in his grasp, "I only agreed to buy Chel some time." She said, somehow smiling as suddenly there was a roar and some of Eddie's men cried out in terror. There in the middle of the room was a gold and black dragon, right where Chel had been earlier. Chel bent down and tore off a guy's head with her teeth before using her claws to send some of the other men flying. Nita twisted in Eddie's grasp, not caring that strands of her raven black hair tore from the movement. She reached up one hand and grasped the dragon tooth that dangled from around her neck to stab into Eddie's shoulder. "You'll never have me....ever." She spat before she kicked him off of her, and pulled the dragon tooth out before she hurried towards where Naveen was still tied up. Once there, she reached to take the ring off of his finger, not noticing Eddie coming up behind her as she was too focused on her current goal. Just as she had worked it partly free, Eddie reached her and pulled her away by the tail ends of her hair. "You should have just gone along with my plans Nita, this would all be so much easier." Eddie stated as he dragged her along, with Nita crying in pain.

Naveen watched in surprise when Nita suddenly kicked Eddie in the crotch and got herself free, though it was short lived when Eddie backhanded her to the ground. Anger flashed through him and he tugged at his restraints, ignoring how they dug even deeper into his skin. If he got his hands on Eddie, he would kill him. The look the man flashed him only made him angrier and sucked in a breath when he tried to use his powers but the ring punished him once again with a stab in his spine. Suddenly he heard a roar echo through the cave and his gaze flew over to see Chel flinging bodies left and right. He stared in awe, barely even registering when Nita came over and started to take off the ring on his finger. "Nita, what the hell is going on? Tell me you didn't agree to this- Nita!" His words were suddenly cut off when Eddie pulled her away from him and his body thrashed against his restraints. He tugged at his binds and grit his teeth as the skin on his arms began to bleed from the constant friction. While he struggled, the ring slowly slid the rest of the way off his finger and he felt the surge of his powers returning to him and growled as he focused his strength, ripping free from the ropes binding him. He ran over to Aurora, pulling the ring off her finger and freed her quickly, his gaze never leaving Nita. "Go Rose, take Chel and run. I'll take care of the rest." Naveen left her before she could protest and within seconds, he caught up to Eddie and Nita. He reached up, gripping Eddie by the shoulder before punching him in the face hard enough to knock the man to the ground and pulled Nita away. His body pinned the man beneath him as he rained down punched on his face, ignoring the blood staining his knuckles. One hand gripped around Eddie's throat and he snarled down at him, his eyes burning red. "I told you not to fucking touch her again." His grip tightened on the man's throat until he was sure he was beginning to crush his windpipe.
