Naveen groaned as he sat up on the couch, running a hand over his face. He glanced over at the window, seeing that it was morning once again and he rolled his eyes. The past few nights his nightmares had been getting progressively worse and he was worried that he would lash out like before and end up hurting Nita. He hadn't told her that's why he had been sleeping on the couch and he didn't plan to. She believed him when he said he wasn't feeling well and didn't want to infect her in case he was sick but after a few days, she might stop believing him. He scanned the room, noticing how the coffee table that had been beside the couch was now on it's side across the room, the plants that had decorated it sprawled across the carpet. "Great.." Naveen pushed himself off the couch, cleaning up the mess he had made in the middle of the night. He heard a crying noise coming from the closet and his body froze. It had been a noise he heard every once in a while the past week but he just dismissed it to being the wind though each time, the noise kept getting more and more real. Naveen slowly took steps towards the closet and his hand rested on the handle for a moment before he flung it open. As soon as he did, the cries stopped and inside the closet was nothing more than a few coats. A sigh flew past his lips as he slammed it shut in frustration and returned to cleaning up. He heard a knock on the door and mumbled that they could enter. When he looked up, Naveen's face turned pale at who stood there. Evangeline...He stumbled back until his back rested against the wall that had only been inches from her and he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment. He mumbled a few words to himself to calm him down and when he reopened his eyes, Nita stood in the place of his old lover. "Shit, Nita...sorry..good morning." Naveen straightened and ran his hand through his hair before turning to sit back down on the couch. His nightmares must be drifting into his awakened state.

Nita heard a loud crash and frowned as she looked around herself. She was standing in the middle of the hallway. How had she gotten here? She rubbed her forehead, feeling a little sick and then decided to go investigate. She stepped into the living room and froze in place when she saw Naveen. He really didn't look so good, "I heard a crash, is everything ok?" She asked as she took in the coffee table on it's side and the plants that now littered the carpet. "Here, let me help with that." She said and moved to right the table, "You look a little ill, why don't you lie down and I'll clean this up." She said as she glanced over at him. He almost looked like he had seen a ghost and Nita wondered if he was still having his nightmares. Then again Naveen had been pushing himself away from her, and Nita wondered if it was because Chel now knew about them. However Chel had only been supportive when she found out, though she had asked that they locked the doors in future. She frowned as she gathered the sharp pieces from the broken vase that had held the plants. Her hand shook a little bit, and Nita was feeling a little sick again but she paid no mind to any of that as she worked.

Naveen frowned at her words before shaking his head. "I'm fine. I just had a rough night." He looked over at her out of the corner of his eye, wondering why he had seen Evangeline the first time. His nightmares were really starting to take over again..they had been ever since he had returned home. It was beginning to get exhausting since they kept waking him up every hour of the night, but he still didn't want to worry Nita. They had only been dating for a week now but he felt terrible about having to keep this from her. When she offered to clean up the mess, he shook his head and moved to help her. "I've got it..sorry I-" Naveen felt his words cut off when he looked over at her, her eyes flashing red. He bit his lip and shook his head before looking once more only to see that her eyes were normal. It must have been a trick of the light or his lack of uninterrupted sleep, but he kept an eye on her out of the corner of his eye. He noticed her hands shaking and he frowned, reaching over and lightly placing his hand on hers. "Don't worry about the glass, I'll get it. Are you okay? You don't look so good yourself." Naveen took her hand and pulled her to her feet, deciding that he would clean up the mess later. He led her over to the couch, making her sit down before he set the coffee table back up and took a seat on it so he was across from her.

Nita looked up at Naveen as he approached her and sighed, of course he had picked up on her inner turmoil. "I don't know." She admitted when he led her over to sit down on the couch next to him. "I keep having black outs....one minute I'll be reading or something and the next I'll be outside with no idea or memory of how I got there." She continued, her fingers rubbing the opal necklace that he had given her in sudden agitation. "It happened to me just barely....I found myself in the hallway and the mark on my stomach...it feels like it's on fire. Normally I can ignore it, but every time I have one of these black outs it flares." She let out a shaky breath. "You haven't been um...having nightmares have you?" She asked quietly, almost too afraid to see his reaction to her question. A part of her had a sinking feeling that there was more going on to her then even she knew.

Naveen felt his muscles tense when she mentioned what had been happening and he leaned forward. "How long has this been going on? And don't lie to me." He met her gaze, letting her know how serious he was. If she lied to him, he'd know. Though when she asked him if he was having nightmares, he averted his gaze and sighed. "Yes..But this is more important. Let me see." Before she could object too much, he lightly pushed her down on the couch and he lifted the skirt of her dress. He pushed it up until he could see her lower stomach and he pulled down her underwear just enough until he could see her scar. At the sight of it, Naveen felt his muscles tense and his fingertips lightly traced around it. Her skin was burning red and he could feel that it was slightly swollen around the scar. "..Why haven't you mentioned this sooner? You really should have told me." Naveen fixed her clothes before pulling back and running a hand through his hair. The fact that this burden the sorcerer had given her was still affecting her irritated him to high hell.

Nita let out a little sigh, "Off and on for the past few months, but it's been getting worse over the past few days." She admitted with a frown, not even able to object when he pushed her down and examined the mark. A whimper of pain left her lips as his fingers lightly ran over it. She kept her head lowered as Naveen fixed her dress and scolded her. "I'm sorry, I kept hoping that maybe I was wrong. Only there's something else that you should know, I think my powers are growing. You're not the only one who's been having nightmares Naveen...what if..what if after everything that I've been through, I'm becoming more like him. What if I'm becoming bad?" She asked in sudden fear as she drew her legs up against her chest and stared down at herself, but almost as if she was lost in thought. "I can't shake the feeling that I'm responsible for the nightmares. That I'm making them worse, have you noticed a shift in the way how your nightmares have grown?" She asked quietly.

Naveen grit his teeth at her words and shifted so he was sitting across from her again. "Nita, you are not turning into that man. You never could. And nothing that is happening if your fault." He reached forward, lightly taking her hand in his. That would explain what had been happening the past few nights but he wasn't going to admit it to her. Naveen never wanted her to feel responsible for anything bad, especially after when she had erased her memories. Just as he was about to say something else, Naveen heard the crying again and his body flinched before he squeezed his eyes shut. It was louder this time, like it was right next to him and his grip tightened around her hand. After a moment, it slowly faded and he took a deep breath before staring down at their hands. "These nightmares are nothing I'm not used to. And they are not your- Nita? Are you listening to me?" He leaned forward to try and capture her gaze and he tensed at seeing her eyes turning red once more. Before he could say anything else, she stood up and started walking out of the room, passing him like he was completely invisible. "Nita, wait!" Naveen chased after her, catching her wrist in his grasp. He glanced down only to see blood dripping from her skin and he sucked in a breath, immediately releasing her. His body stumbled back, tripping over her shoes on the floor though he managed to catch himself. He pushed himself up slightly and glanced down the hallway where she stood, the body of a blonde woman covered in blood lying at Nita's feet. Naveen felt his whole body stiffen, recognizing the corpse to be Aurora and he leaned his back against the wall as his hand moved up and pressed his eyes closed. "Nita! Stop it!"

It felt almost as if Nita was in a fog, she could feel herself moving but she had absolutely no control over her actions. The same pressure hit her once again and she felt something intrude, something that wasn't her. "You don't like the new me? Pity, I thought you loved me." The words were being said by Nita, but they had an all too familiar lilt to them that sounded like the sorcerer. Nita's body moved forward, until she was crouching right in front of Naveen. Her movements jerky as if her body was having trouble responding to the motions. "Your precious Nita is a little busy at the moment, and you...soon you'll be lost in your own nightmares for the rest of your days. I think it's a rather fitting punishment for you, especially after you killed me." Nita said with a little haunting laugh as she trailed one hand down Naveen's arm. "Well I hope you enjoy your nightmares, soon they'll be all you have left." She added before she withdrew her hand and stood up in one fluid motion.

Naveen forced himself to open his eyes when he heard her speak, but he knew immediately that it wasn't her. When she moved over and crouched next to him, he pressed himself firmly against the wall, lifting his head high in defiance to this new side of her. Though when she mentioned he had killed 'her', realization hit him when he figured it out to be the sorcerer talking. "You son of a bitch, she had done nothing to you. Why can't you let her go?" As she trailed her hand down his arm, his world flashed, blinding him for a moment. When he could see again, surrounding him were the bodies of everyone he had ever loved. Aurora, Evangeline, Eric..even the bodies of his unborn children that he had lost. His hands were covered in blood and he sucked in a sharp breath. Every muscle in his body tensed and his fingertips gripped at the carpet beneath him. "No, stop it!" Naveen squeezed his eyes shut, knocking his head against the wall to try and gain control again. His body broke out in a cold sweat as he groaned at the pain shooting through his spine. Even with his eyes shut, he could still see the bodies..the blood. "Nita, you can fight this. Just..just stop this, please."

Nita's body wavered as if there was some indecision, "She's long...gone and I'm going to make sure of it." This time the words came out slow and halting, Nita's eyes were turning brown and then red once more almost too fast to notice. Nita let out a cry and threw a hand up to her forehead, "Naveen." This time it was Nita's real voice, "Please...you have to stop me. I can't...hold him forever, and I don't want to hurt you." She whispered as she sank to the floor next to Naveen. She rested a hand on Naveen's arm, making the nightmares recede. "Promise me...you'll do whatever it takes." She whispered as she met his gaze. It was taking a lot to even manage an actual conversation and she wasn't sure how much longer she could last. She was afraid that she might target him again, and after feeling the sorcerer's presence in her mind she was afraid of what that would mean.

Naveen's body shook when she said his name and he forced himself to look at her when she cried out and fell to her knees. As her hand brushed his arm, the images faded and his body sank down in relief. "N-Nita, what the hell..." He pushed himself forward, holding her body in his arms. She was shaking and he could tell that she was having a hard time holding him back. He cursed himself, knowing that if he knew magic that he could be able to help her. "Hang in there...Aurora can help..she has to help." Naveen grit his teeth, using what remaining energy he had left to call Aurora. He called her in the only way he could, by sending her his emotions. His whole body was shaking in fear from the nightmares but he tried to keep that at bay, not wanting Aurora to feel it. The pain shot through his spine and his grip tightened on her body. "Damn it Rose, come on!"

Blood dripped down from Nita's nose as she struggled to hold the sorcerer at bay. "I...I can't." She whispered, her grip loosening on Naveen as she spoke. Aurora arrived then in a plume of green smoke, "What's going on-oh dear lord." She said rather faintly as she took in Nita's appearance and Naveen's. "Nita? Honey, are you ok?" She asked carefully as she took a hesitant step forward, not entirely sure what Nita's reaction would be like. Nita's eyes turned red and she pulled away from Naveen as if he wasn't even there. "Ahh you must be the dragon, such a pleasure to finally meet you." She said as she approached Aurora with a confidant smile on her face. "I will admit, I didn't think I'd actually get to see you face to face. I'm a little disappointed though, I thought you'd be a little bit taller. It looks like you get to pick who you'll go after, you see Naveen's not going to last very long. As for Nita, well she has a very special assignment for me to fulfill so I'll see myself out." Without waiting for Aurora to follow after her, Nita disappeared in the shadows. Aurora glanced down at where Naveen was and cursed when she saw that he was slumped over. She moved to sit next to him and placed a hand over his own, a gentle stream of golden energy flowed from her hand and into him causing the nightmares to cease. "Naveen, what happened?" She asked as she stared down at him.

As soon as Nita pulled away from him, he instantly felt his hallucinations come back and his body slammed against the wall in an effort to push them away. When he didn't succeed, he groaned and his hands clutched his head as his body slumped into a ball on the floor, his forehead resting against the carpet. He mumbled the names of every body he could see, trying to remind himself that they were all safe and not dead before him. Naveen could already feel himself being dragged into his nightmares and he fought to stay conscious. His body flinched when he felt Aurora's hand on his and he tried to pull away, though when the energy flowed through his body, he felt his muscles slowly relaxing. Once the images faded away, he sucked in a sharp breath and his body shot into an upright position as he gasped for air. "No, Nita! Shit.." He tried to push himself up but his body felt like lead and he could barely move. Besides, Aurora pushed him back down so he couldn't get away and he groaned in frustration. "I don't know. She told me she was having black outs and how she thought she was controlling nightmares..before I knew it she was someone else. That fucking sorcerer is in her somehow. I don't understand...I killed him. We killed him..." Naveen felt his body shaking slightly and he swallowed hard as he tried to calm down.

Aurora's gaze narrowed at Naveen's words, "Does she have anything that could have tied her to the sorcerer at all? Like a mark or something?" She asked as she tried to come up with an ideas as to Nita's sudden behavior change. "You can't go after her Naveen, you're in no condition to do anything. If you go out looking for her, I'm afraid you'll only hurt yourself." She pointed out grimly. Her eyes studied him with worry, she hadn't seen him this bad in a long time. The nightmares and hallucinations had clearly taken a toll on him and it pained her to see. "You need to rest...I can go and keep an eye out for Nita, and I'll have Chel be by your side in case anything happens." She added firmly.

At Aurora's question, he nodded and leaned back against the wall. "Yes..a scar..or brand or something, on her lower stomach. He..he gave it to her so she couldn't..get pregnant. Before she changed, she told me how it burned..it was red and swollen..shit I should have known this would happen." Naveen groaned at the pain in his head and his hand gripped Aurora's arm. He had to go after her but if she forced hallucinations on him again, he wasn't sure what would happen. Somehow that damn sorcerer knew how to bring out his biggest fears and seeing it sprawled out before him made him feel sick to his stomach. "Please Rose..I can't lose her..I can't lose anyone else." Naveen forced himself to look up into her eyes, not even caring if she could how scared he was. All this time he had lost so many people, so many children, and he couldn't do it anymore. He tried to stay strong but now that he'd seen everyone he loved dead, it terrified him. "Tell me there's a way I can save her. I'll do anything."
