Nita sat next to Naveen with her hand on his own, it had been a few days since he had almost died. He was doing better but he still had to be in bed while he recuperated. Nita tugged on the necklace with her free hand as she looked away from Naveen. Ever since the curse had been lifted, she had felt different....her powers had shifted. It was slow, but there were times when she would look in the mirror and her eyes would have a gold sheen to them. It scared her, but she wasn't having black outs anymore which she hoped was a good sign. The mark that the sorcerer had left her had faded away. She had yet to tell Naveen as she was a little worried what he'd think. Her eyes moved towards Naveen and she smiled sadly down at him, he had sacrificed so much for her. She had almost killed him....she didn't want to think of what she would have done had he actually died. He still hadn't woken up and Nita wondered if he ever would, Chel checked in on him regularly. As for Nita, she rarely left his side and if she did she made sure to stay close. She leaned over and smoothed his hair with her free hand, he looked almost peaceful while he slept. At least he wasn't having a nightmare...not one that she could discern anyway.

Naveen's body shifted slightly in the bed, a sigh coming past his lips as Nita's hand smoothed his hair. It had been a few days since he had healed Nita, taking her wound as his own and he must have fallen unconscious at some point. He could still hear everything that had been going on, when Nita would talk to him or when Chel would come check on him, but he couldn't get himself to wake up just yet. His body was overtaken by exhaustion after everything that had happened. He would dream, mostly happy ones but occasionally he'd have a nightmare even after Nita's powers were fixed. Right now he was dreaming about the night he had saved her...when he kissed her for the first time. Naveen groaned and his grip tightened on her hand, pulling her body down to the bed beside him. Before she could sit back up, Naveen shifted his body until he was hovering above hers, pinning her to the bed with an unnatural strength. "Nita..." He leaned down, his lips coming into contact with hers as he savored the taste of her. His body pressed against hers until he broke away from the kiss, burying his face in her neck as his arms wrapped around her. Naveen nuzzled his face against her skin and let out a sigh as he drifted off into his dream once again.

Nita let out a gasp as Naveen suddenly pulled her down to the bed. She stared up at him in surprise, his hold on her was strong. It made her remember the time that he woken up the first time she had been in a bed with him. He was still asleep, but then he groaned her name and leaned down to kiss her. She whimpered as his lips brushed against her own. His body pressed against her own, making her think of all the times they had been together. All too soon, he pulled away from her and then buried his face in her neck, his arms holding her in place. She slid her hands up, enjoying the feeling of him holding her even though she wasn't sure how to get out of this compromising position. Her body shifted, bringing her body closer against his own briefly before she leaned back once again. "Naveen?" She whispered, wondering if he was even aware of her.

Naveen heard Nita's voice close to his ear, calling his name in a whisper. He sighed as he slowly came back to consciousness, his body pulling back slightly. His eyes flickered open and he stared down at her as his vision came into focus. It took him a moment to realize what was going on, his gaze moving across her body only to see he was holding her in place on the bed. "Nita? What..what's going on?" He tried to pull off of her in a sudden movement and a sharp pain shot through his stomach, causing him to wince as he rolled off of her. His hand lightly rested on his stomach as he remembered all that had happened. The pain wasn't as strong as he had remembered...so he must have been out for quite some time. Most of the events were still a blur to him, but he knew he had done something stupid and was obviously paying for it. "What happened? Where are we.." He pushed himself up on his arms, lightly propping himself up against the pillows.

Nita bit down on her bottom lip, not entirely sure what to tell him. "What do you remember exactly?" She asked gently as she shifted so she was turned towards him. It looked like he was in pain and she sat up to get some of the healing potion that Aurora had left. "Here drink this, it should help with the pain." She said as she moved to hand him the potion. "I can make you some soup, but Aurora said you shouldn't have any solid foods for awhile." She added with a sympathetic smile. It was good to see Naveen up, and she brushed a kiss on his forehead. "It's good to see you up, and we are at Eric's place." She said quietly as she pulled back, keeping her gaze carefully averted from his own. Nita was afraid that he would look at her and see how guilty she was over his current condition.

Naveen carefully took the potion from her, shooting it back in one gulp so it would kick in faster. He made a face at the taste before setting it down on the table beside them. It took a moment for him to register her question and he frowned. "We were at the lake and.." Naveen's eyes widened when it all came rushing back to him and he pulled her down to him until their eyes were level. He searched them only to find that they were her normal brown and sighed in relief. "Is he gone? You're..you, right?" His hand caressed her cheek before he settled back into the bed. He looked down to see that his stomach was wrapped in white bandages that circled his body. "I used my magic didn't I? But it worked...you're safe." A smile spread across his lips, taking her hand in his.

Nita smiled at him, "Aurora said that only a kiss of true love could have saved me from the sorcerer's curse. Naveen...if it hadn't been for me you never would have had to use your magic to save me. I almost lost you because I was foolish and didn't want to hurt you anymore. I thought I could save you if I wasn't the vessel for the sorcerer. Yet all I did was make things worse for you, I made you go through your worst nightmares and almost killed you! When I saw you dying....I thought I'd never see you again, hear your laugh...feel your arms around me. That scared me...I love you so much Naveen, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you." She said quietly and squeezed his hand with her own. "I really hurt you...the sorcerer wanted you to die. It was like I was trapped in my own mind while he-" She broke off with a shaky sigh. "It was almost like David all over again." She continued with a discomfited expression.

Naveen took her hand in his, forcing himself so he could sit up in a roughly straight position as he ignored the searing pain in his muscles. "Nita, stop it. I love you and to save you..I could do anything. Nothing was your fault and don't you dare say that it is again. This was my choice. If I lost you, I would have no one left...The sorcerer knew my weak spots and he forced you to follow his plans to get his way. But he's gone now and I have you back..." He leaned forward, capturing her lips in his in a passionate kiss. His hand moved up and cradled her cheek before he pulled back slightly, leaning his forehead against hers. "I'm a survivor Nita...It's going to take a lot more than that to kill me off." Naveen's thoughts turned to what she had gone through with David and he knew he had cut it close the other night. Though no matter how much he practiced, he knew his magic wouldn't cooperate with him. It never has and it never would. He was just relieved that he had managed to heal her completely, despite the fact that he had claimed some of her wound for himself. If he had taken on the full damage, he would most certainly be dead.

Nita looked up at Naveen as he spoke and then kissed him back just as passionately. "No matter how often you say that I still worry. You mean so much to me, and I feel like I haven't told you that enough." She said quietly. "I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, a life without you would be so empty." She admitted as she ran a hand through his hair as she smiled sadly up at him. "I realized that as you were lying there....I don't think I could live without you." She looked down, not entirely sure what to expect from him at her words. "When I lost David, I gave up on living....I changed and became so detached from my surroundings. I was only existing... that was when the sorcerer had the most power over me. I no longer cared if I lived or died during those years. Then you came along, you gave me hope....and a reason to keep on living. Being with you has made me the happiest woman in the world...a happiness that I thought I no longer could have. I owe you my life and so much more, more then I could ever pay back." She added quietly as she looked at him with a tender smile.

Naveen raised an eyebrow at her words, pulling her body closer to his. "Is that a proposal sweetheart?" At her reaction, he couldn't help but burst out laughing, burying his face into her beck. "I'm kidding, don't freak out." He pulled back and leaned against the headboard of the bed, wincing just slightly at the movement. "Nita, since I found you, I've become a better person. Before, I pushed everyone away and I just didn't care about anyone other than myself. I took so many lives...and played with so many more. But now..." His words cut off as he lightly ran his hand over his stomach, glancing down at the wound. "If that night had happened back then, I probably never would have done anything so drastic. But I love you...so much so that I would die for you Nita. You have so much more to live for than I do..you've done so much better than I have all this time and you deserve a long life. If anything, I owe you my life. For everything you've done for me and how you've changed me.." He gave her a sad smile, pulling her towards him lightly as he pressed a gentle kiss against her lips.

At Naveen's question, Nita's face turned a brilliant red "Oh..that's not-" She broke off at his other words and hid her face in his shoulder. As he kept talking however she looked up at him and studied him thoughtfully. "Now who's proposing?" She asked teasingly before she leaned up and met his lips as they moved to land on hers. She kissed him tenderly before he pulled away from her, "I love you." She whispered against his lips and meant it, there was a soft sound as Chel cleared her throat. "I hope I'm not interrupting." She said as she stayed by the doorway, keeping her gaze lowered. Nita sat up and slid off of the bed, "Of course you're not, and I'm sure your father would love to talk to you." She said gently. Chel brightened and moved to sit on a chair next to the bed, "Hey dad, you were out for a long time...are you feeling any better?" She asked as Nita quietly left the room to give them some privacy.

Naveen rolled his eyes at her comment, a smile forcing itself onto his face. His hand slipped around her waist as they kissed, enjoying the feeling of her body against his so much so that he almost groaned in disappointment when she pulled back. "I love you too.." Just when he was about to kiss her again, he heard Chel clear her throat and his gaze shot over to the door in surprise, his cheeks flushing slightly with embarrassment of her catching them being all lovey-dovey. As Nita moved to leave, he gave her hand a light squeeze one last time before he turned his attention to Chel. "Much better, thank you. But enough about me, I want to hear about you. I don't even know how long it's been since I, well..you know. I must have missed so much. How are your magic lessons with Aurora? I hope you're much better at it than I am." He chuckled lightly, mostly to himself. Magic had never been his strength and that night made it glaringly obvious. He'd never have the knack for it but he hoped his daughter would.
