(A last ditch attempt to revive this plot x-x)
Rapunzel walked along the river bank, being careful not to slip and fall into the freezing cold waters. In the summer it would be a welcome release but in the winter, it became a death trap. Her hair had begun to grow out, it now reached past her shoulders. She was sure the enchantment keeping it brown had begun to wear off, it was now more of a dark blonde in color. It worried her slightly, but by this point the upper class world had forgotten about Lady Corona, the traitor. There were more important matters for them to worry about than some unimportant Noble Woman.
She reminisced about all that had happened over the past year, some things good and some bad. She remembered the young girl she helped those many months ago when she was lost in the forest with a sprained and wondered how she was. Whether she was better. She supposed that being from a wealthy family, she would be receiving the best medical care money could buy. The little girl had probably forgotten all about the pain in her leg and the woman who helped her.
Pulling out her sketch pad, the young woman settled down and began to draw a dancing woman with long brown hair, based on her memories of her mother. It was soothing to draw her, it made her feel closer to her. She missed her mother more than anything.
As her sketch began to take shape, she heard a twig snap behind her. Turning around she saw a face that was familiar, one that she hadn't seen in months.
"... Hiccup?"

As the young man was walking around the area, he felt as though a lot of memories were coming back, especially the coronation for Phillip and the Winter Festival, which was pretty fun. He even remembered meeting a young woman named Rapunzel at the coronation, and she was cute indeed. He even remembered the new king and shivered at the thought of killing off supernatural creatures since he was one himself. He just thought that the place had good times and bad times, but, he had hope that things will get better for the place and hoped that he would not be dead. He did see a young woman while walking and she did look familiar and he gave out a small smile and sat down by her, and noticed that there was something a little different about her. Her hair was grown out and he did have a thing for women with hair being passes her shoulders, and even had a small blush by looking at her physical appearance. "Rapunzel?" He asked, and gave her a small smile.

Rapunzel's eyes lit up when he recognized her, despite her changed appearance. Without even registering what she was doing, she flung her arms around him.
"It's been so long..."
When she realized what she'd done, she sheepishly withdraw her arms and gave him an awkward but happy smile. Setting her sketch book aside, she searched the boys eyes her own filled with concern.
"How is everyone? Is Heather okay?"
She hoped the girl was doing better, she was so badly hurt that night. She hated the though of something happening to the girl.

As he felt her arms going around him, he not only felt a flush of redness going around his cheeks, but, also felt his inner heart beating. He did not expect that she would like him all this time, even during that incident with Heather getting lost in the woods for the first time. To this very day, he still regretted letting her go alone without him by his side. As he heard those words mentioning that they have not seen each other in a while, he sighs and looks up at her. "Yeah, I know. I remember first time we met...was dying the coronation." He said, with a slight chuckle. He then heard her asking on how Heather was doing and he gave out a small smile, as she was doing just fine. "Oh, Heather? She's doing good. At the moment, she's playing with Claire. She wanted to know on how you were doing as well." He said, with a slight chuckle. He then looks into her eyes and thought they looked beautiful. "Hey, let me ask you...do you...have a boyfriend or anything?" Whoops. Wrong time to ask but, curiosity killed him.

She smiled brightly when he mentioned the coronation
"Oh yes, I remember! I saved you from being caught by the guards!"
She let out a light laugh as she thought back to that night. She was glad to hear Heather was doing well and looked slightly surrised when he mentioned that she was mondering how she was
"Really? Well please let her know that she's welcome at the Golden Torch anytime. You as well of course."
Rapunzel was slightly taken aback by his sudden question, it almost appeared out of nowhere. She blushed slightly and gave out a small giggle
"I do not... I have not been with someone since-"
She trailed off as she remembered the lord she was engaged to, she'd never even met him and yet they were prepared to marry her off to him. She looked up at Hiccup, smiling slightly
"Nevermind... Why did you ask?"

As he remembered that day when he got saved by the guards, he chuckled with a small nod. To this day, he did not know on how she did it really quickly without getting hurt. "Yup, you sure did & to be fair, you know on how to save people really quickly, you could tell that I was a creature quickly.. " He replies, with a slight chuckle coming out of his mouth. He hears her laugh and thought it was really cute and also felt glad that Heather was doing alright as well. He then heard her mentioning that he & Heather were going to be invited to the Golden Torch and he nods. "Can do & will let her know for sure." He said, with a wink, as he did remember Heather liking the young woman for sure. The conversation transitioned to him asking a question about her liking him, and he could tell from the blush appearing from her face that she liked him, but, he did not want to immediately jump to conclusions. As she mentioned that she was single and never liked him "that way" Hiccup looked at her with eyes locking his. His heart did start to pump, as although he was mainly shy around women, Rapunzel was different as she was really sweet, kind, and very adorable. "The reason why I asked...is because, at the time, I did like you a whole lot..." As he was saying his confession, he uses his arm to scratch the back of his neck. "I was shy to say something at the time..but, now I got the courage to say that I really like you..Rapunzel." He confesses and quickly pecks her cheek. "Sorry.." He said, with a slight chuckle.

Rapunzel's blush deepened at Hiccup's confession. She wasn't sure how to respond and simply sat for a couple of seconds absorbing the information.
"I-"
She paused, taking in a deep breath. She turned to face this man, who she could hardly call a friend, and looked him in the eyes. She felt something, she knew she did. She didn't know what.
"I think I like you too..."
She gave him a gentle smile and reached up to brush his hair out of his face.
"I don't know... I think about you... A lot. And you make me smile."
She let out a breathy laugh.
"I feel... Something."
