Two girls were strolling together, arm-in-arm, by the stream of the peaceful river.
Megara clutched Lina's hand to keep it warm. For a few moments they walked along the quay in silence. The wind whipped their hair, the waves splashed on the promenade. Everything seemed so peaceful. Megara was happy. She draw a sigh, gave her friend a little smile and said: - So,.. I've heard you haven't yet anybody to go with on the Blood Moon festival, right? She soundlessly gasped and a blush was visible on her face. Meg was so afraid that Lina would misunderstood her, so she immediately clarified her question: - I didn't mean anything bad by that! Meg was excited and nervous at the same time. The Witch rolled her eyes and chuckled. She muttered sarcastically: - I'm all alone by myself too as well so... if someone could accompany with me, that will be great! I guess.

Lina had been enjoying the peaceful evening, walking arm-in-arm with her friend Megara, when said girl had broken the silence. Lina had looked at her with the usual sweet smile on her face as she spoke. Megara talked about the Blood Moon Festival, a festival Lina had always wanted to go to, but had never been courageous enough to even stroll through. Megara had asked an innocent question which Lina had thought nothing bad of, but the witch had quickly clarified what she had meant by it. She wondered why her friend always seemed so on edge with her sometimes, but decided not to ask her about it. She didn't want to risk blowing to the flame that was Meg's temper.
"Oh, yes. I haven't really made any plans with anyone. I would love to go with you, Megara! I was hoping you would mention it yourself," Lina said genuinely and squeezed Meg's arm to give her a slight hug as a thank you for asking her. She was looking even more forward to the Blood Moon Festival now.

Megara keept mumbling: - If you don't want to.. Wait, what?! Meg was taken aback with her answer. Her face broke into a smile.
Thumbelina was a very special girl. One of her kind. She was always so sweet, nice and kind for all the years that Meg knew her. She was the one who hepled Megara to recover from her mother's death. Lina was always there for her. Seven years of friendship. All these years passed by like a day. Sometimes Megara wished to know the spell to stop time.
Megara glanced at her friends eyes. 'You'are so beautiful', she thought silently to herself. - Then, I suppouse, we need to get reandy and gussie up a bit! Do you have any ideas where do we need to start? Let me see! Meg made a few steps back and looked at Lina. 'What have changed in these three years? Why do I keep feel so.. happy around you'. she thought. 'No. There's something more.' - You're already perfect, my dear, - Meg said out loud. - But, I think we can add some little details.. She grabbed Lina's hand as she smiled widely at her. - Come on! Tonight I'll be your fairy Godmother! Briskly, they entered the Boutique.

I look perfect? Lina thought and couldn't help but glance down at herself. She was wearing the same old rag she had been wearing for years. She couldn't see what was perfect about it, but she didn't have the time to wonder about it before Megara had grabbed her hand and smiled widely at her. She told her that she would be her Fairy Godmother and ran with her into the boutique.
Lina was grinning widely as she looked at row after row with perfect, gorgeous gowns. Dresses she had never dreamed of wearing. While holding onto Meg's hand, she went towards a blue one and discreetly looked at the price tag. Her eyes widened.
"Meg, y-you really don't have to buy me one of these. They're too extravagant!" Lina bellowed and looked back at Megara. "I appreciate the thought, I really do, but I don't think these would suit me anyway. I-I mean, I'm just an ordinary girl after all."

Megara was so proud of herself that she made the right choise. It seemed like Lina almost agreed to get one of those beauties. Unfortunatly she began to deny this opportunity.
- Ts-s-s. - Meg put a finger to her lips and whisperd a magical word. Megara's other hand turned slightly blue. Lina could feel the cold coming out of it. - I've always got a little money in, well, you know, "there". - Megara winked. She lied. In that pouch, she was holding, was just the right amount of coins that our friends needed. - You want this one, am I right? - she pointed at the blue shimmery gown.

Before Lina could think ahead, she had nodded at Megara's question. Yes, it was the blue one she wanted, but didn't she just insist it was too much? She wasn't sure, she couldn't really remember. It felt as if her mind had gone blank for a moment and when it had returned, Meg was already approaching the dress.

Megara walked to the seller and asked: - Is it all right if we look that gorgeous gown over, sir? She smiled. Meg didn't need the answer. She continued walking with her quiet, catlike gait. Step by step the couturier's apprentice followed her holding a dress, the fabric a deep blue, with glittering skirt and layered tutu. Turning to Lina Megara said: - I want you to become a princess, come on, we need to hurry! She let out a laugh, and then took Lina's hand and brought her to the dressing room.

Lina stared at the back of Meg's head as she was pulled towards the dressing room. She couldn't help but find Meg's excitement infectious and joy overcame her. Besides, if Meg was this excited about it, how could Lina not feel excited as well? The seller handed her the gown and Lina went into one of the dressing rooms. She started to pull her old dress off her, ready to replace it with the new shimmery gown.

Megara couldn't resist to take a quick look at Lina's body. Quiet as mouse, she pushed the curtain a little further to watch Lina while she was dressing up. Her dearest friend stood with her back to her half naked. Meg's pulse quickened. She could see Lina's chest rise and fall in the mirror, but she tried not to look. "Her legs, her back and bo... skin.. are as beautiful as her eyes," she thought. She resisted the urge to pounce on her and closed the curtains quietly. "I can't do this. We are GIRLS, I don't want to bring Lina any trouble! I just,.. just..." Meg tried to focus. She stood out of the dressing room in a few steps from it and waited.

Lina looked around, silently swearing she felt something looking at her. She couldn't see anything, but she couldn't help this odd feeling. She opened the curtain slightly and peeked her head outside, noticing Meg waiting a couple of steps away. "Uh, Meg?" she asked quietly, wondering if she wasn't being totally weird right now. "Are you impatient or something? I just... I just felt something, I think." Or maybe I'm being a total basket case, Lina wondered.

She gulped nervously before trying to answer: -E-e-everything's fine, my dear! Megara tried not to look in Lina's eyes. She felt ashamed of herself. -Are you ready? I can't wait any longer! We've got a lot of work to do! She was nervous. "Gently.. naturally.. nothing happened!", thoughts rushed like rabbits through her head. Megara pretended that she saw something very interesting out of the window and made a few steps toward it. - Look it's almost sunset! We need to visit.. a barber!! Joe's in town, I think. I know him, you won't believe... She kept mumbling about Joe and what an amazing hairdresser he was. It wasn't matter what she was talking right now. All she needed was to get Lina thinking that Meg wasn't spying on her.

Lina blinked in confusion at Meg's ranting. It made no sense at all, none of it. The older girl had told her to hurry up though so she went back inside the dressing room. Lina had barely managed to pull the dress over her body before Meg started talking about a barber. Rushing back to the curtain, Lina opened it and stuck her head outside again.
"M-M-Meg," she stuttered. "You're not thinking of having my hair cut, are you?"
The thought alone scared Lina senseless. Since her parents' death, she swore to let her hair grow until she found a new home, a new place she felt that she belonged. Needless to say, it hadn't happened yet and her hair was now way past her hips.

(I'm soooo tired. Just got back home. Sorry for the wait! <3)
- Of course I'm not silly! She came back to Lina, gently stroked her cheek with the back of her knuckles and whispered right into her ear: - Everybody have their little secrets, sweetheart. Trust me, I will carry your secret to the grave! She smiled and continued talking in a normal tone of voice: - I'll order to style your hair without cutting it. What do you think of a pair of beautiful braids?

(that's totally fine sweety! ) Lina briefly wondered how Megara knew about her secret, but then mentally slapped herself when she remembered that Meg was a witch; of course she knew. It was more important to Lina that Meg not only wasn't planning to cut her hair, but even promised to keep her secret. It felt good to share a secret with someone. "Braids?" Lina repeated and hummed thoughtfully. She looked down at her almost Rapunzel-like hair. She giggled cutely. "I'd kinda feel bad for Joe... but if he wouldn't mind, I'd love to try and see it."

Megara smiled and finally opened the curtains. - You look gorgeous, my dear. She truly was. The dress totally fit Lina. The emphasized curves of her body made Meg's heart flattered. - Truly you don't need a new style, you are beautiful just the way you are.. She sighed. - ..but, if we want to find you a prince, I should do my best and make you a perfect princess! "I want you to be happy, Lina. I need to find you nice and wealthy husband, so you'll never ever experience what hunger and poverty are again. Oh, if only I could... Nah, that's impossible! Well, at least I'll be there with her, hoping that's not the last time I see her", she thought and gave Lina a sad smile. - So.. off we go? (OMG! I feel so proud of myself that was my first time roleplaying like EVAH! You are amazing!!1 <3)
