Odette and her family had gathered in the throne room for the arrival of her betrothed. She wore a simple blue gown that brought out the color in her eyes. Her father and mother were seated on the thrones while Odette and John stood on either side of them. Off to the side was Claude Frollo, he had his arms folded as he watched the proceedings. "Announcing Prince Phillip of Maghden." The announcer's voice sounded through the entire hall. Odette forced herself to remain calm even as her heart started to pound. John sent her an encouraging look before turning back to face the doors which had yet to open.

Phillip couldn´t wait to finally get off from his horse and inside the castle. It has been a long ride even though they had made quite some stops but still he more than happy not having to ride anymore at least today and maybe the following. As exhausted and even tired he was he still kept an enthusiastic appearance and headed right to towards the throne room once he got his clothes and appearance fixed. Now there he was, smiling gently towards the royals in a set order as he elegantly made his way to them before he stopped and bowed for them, deep enough to be seen as bow though still high enough to prove his importance and status. "Your majesties."

King William stood from his throne and moved to be by Prince Phillip, "Welcome Prince Phillip, it is good to see you on such short notice." He said and gestured for Odette to join him. "May I present my daughter, Princess Odette." He said and Odette gave a little curtsy, showing respect while still holding her own status. King William continued, "I hope our two kingdoms can be united. There will of course be a feast tonight to celebrate your arrival." He said as he stood straighter. Claude Frollo moved forward then, "Yes after all we are blessed to have such a match wouldn't you agree Prince Phillip?" He asked as he neared the group, giving a deep bow as he did so.

Phillip gave the king a respectful nod before he took Odettes hand. "It´s a pleasure to meet you princess." He said just before placing a kiss on her hand and let go of her after and turned his attention back to the king. "Thank you for your kind hospitality your highness. I´m really looking foreward to my stay in your great kingdom." Just then a familiar face joined the conversation and naturally Phillip agreed with Frollo, at least so far. "Indeed as much as I am able to say so far the princess is far beyond any telling that reached my dear home." He said giving Odette a charming though still distant smile as he didn´t want to appear unrespectful or worse.

Odette relaxed just slightly, it seemed the Prince wasn't all that bad as she had been fearing, John however still didn't look quite convinced. "And you are far more handsome then what I had heard." Odette said in a gentle pleasing tone. "Well we'll be pleased to have you with us, the Claude will show you to your chambers. I hope you have a pleasant stay here with us." The King added while the Claude smiled even wider. "Come this way Your Highness, I'm sure you'll like the rooms we have provided for you." He said as he indicated that the Prince was welcome to follow him out of the Throne Room. |

"Oh you flatter me princess." He answered to Odettes compliment in a more flirtious tone before he got serious again and turned to the king and Claude while the queen observed both, the prince as well as Claude as she trusted neither of them though was good in not showing it. Phillip bowed again to the royalties before he moved to Claudes side to follow him.

Odette blushed only a little as she watched Phillip leave with the Claude, once the Claude and the Prince were out of earshot Frollo spoke up, "I hope you like the arrangement so far?" He asked with a cold twist of his lips. The man was not someone who minced words when he spoke and this was one of those times. "The Princess is very easy to take care of her, the only person who may cause a problem is that brother of hers." Frollo added with a sneer at the very thought. |

Once they the two males where out of reach Phillip relaxed a little though was still stiff since even though Frollo was responsible for the promising match he of course wanted something in return, not to mention that Phillip didn´t like the Claude much anyways. "I doubt either of them will be a real problem. I have more than one way to prove my value as suitor."

Frollo smirked, "I could just as easily find another candidate if you don't prove to be up to the task. I hope you remember our arrangement?" He asked as he led Phillip down a corridor and then up a flight of heavily carpeted stairs. Frollo of course had his own ideas about what he would do once the Prince and Princess were out of the way, he wanted the little brats to be disposed of. Then he would take care of the King and Queen make it look like they had been killed by the very same people the proclamation had targeted. After all, who wouldn't want a little revenge? Then he could take up the crown and rule, and perhaps from there move his focus towards other kingdoms. |

At his question Phillip just chuckled bitter. "By all respect Claude, how would I ever be able to forget about it? Anyways, don´t worry I won´t let you down." At least not yet, he added in his thoughts. After all he surely didn´t intend to actually let Frollo take the throne anyways. Why should he? For now though Phillip played his role, pretending to be on Frollos side as long as it was usefull in his opinion.

"That's all very well and good Your Highness." Frollo said smoothly before they neared a door which he flung open showing large spacious rooms. "The feast for you will be held later tonight at eight, try not to be late. All your luggage has already been delivered and your men have been given rooms of their own. Should you require anything, simply ring the bell pull and assistance will be forthcoming." Frollo added before he gave a little head bow. "Now I have some work I have to attend too, I'm sure we'll see each other again soon." He continued.

The more Phillip had to deal with the Claude the more felt uncomfortable, slowly but surely. However since he was younger he did quite good by hiding his actual thought and emotions if he wanted or needed to, at least as far as he knew, and so he played along. He returned the head bow and gave Frollo and appreciating smirk. "Thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality."
