Micheal couldn't help but frown at hearing this, although still looking pretty much liek eh couldn't care less, her words sounded so wafully familiar to him, in a curel and unwelcomed sort fo way. 'I can only see the world from inside', how many times had he thought that to himself? Well of course, their situations was alot different but still, the feeling of beign trapped was pretyt much the same... wasn't it? "Then leave the castle," he stated bluntly, startign to browse through another book. "What's the point of getting you all thes ebodyguards to watch your every step if all they're gonna do is watch you read."

Odette smiled at the tempting idea, "I'd like that but as a Princess I can only leave if my father allows it. And the last time I went, well robbers tried .." She trailed off and made a face as she tried not to think about it. "It's a good thing the Captain of the Guards was with me." Odette added quietly as she pushed some of her blond hair behind her ear. Thoughts of the Captain of the Guard made several different thoughts and emotions run through her. It was clear that he was interested in her and Odette was just as interested. Yet he had someone who loved him, Jasmine, a beautiful name for no doubt a beautiful person.

Michael gave a small roll of his eyes at the excuse, snapping shut the book he had currently been browsing through and placing it back on the table. "Then just do what your brother do," he stated matter of factly, turning his attention his attention towards the bookshelf right behind the where the princess sat, getting more and more intrigued by the minute by his little findings there. "If you'll allow just one bad experience to hold you back, you might as well just lie down and give up." It didn't really sound like Micheal cared as he spoke, but more or less just stating a fact. "Much easier not bothering after all."

Odette looked up from her book and blinked in surprise at Michael's comment, it wasn't often that someone actually spoke their mind to her but she didn't mind. "I guess you're right, besides I love going into town when I can sneak away even if it is only for a little while." She admitted. "The Festival is this week, and I kind of want to see how the decorations are coming." The book suddenly didn't seem all that interesting as she thought about what kinds of things could be seen at the festival.

Micheal just gave a hum at what she said, seemingly to the rest of the world that he wasn't paying ehr any attention whatsoever, when he actully hlitsend to eveyr word she said. Lifting his gaze up from his book for a moment to see the far off look in her eyes, as if currently dreaming herself away. He recognised that look too, all to well... "You really need to get out more," he then bluntly stated, going back to the book again.

Odette winced, "I must sound so naive." She muttered under her breath as she pulled at her hair. She brightened then, "Would you be willing to show me some of your favorite places to visit?" Odette asked after a moment. "I know it's a lot to ask but I, I'd love to see what else the town has to offer." Odette admitted. There was only so many places she could visit when she had her entire Royal guard behind her, which happened everytime she left. The only other time she had managed to get out recently was with Phoebus and that hadn't gone very well.

"That's beacuse you are," Micheal answerd back nonchallantly. He would've gone back to looking throguh the books on the shelf, now honestly more than just curious to read through them all, only to stare back at ehr again at her request. Well ok, he wa ssjut the one who kept insisitng that she should get out of this dman place and explore while she still had the chance. But him as a 'guide'? Showing her his 'favourite' places...? Ha, he might as well just kidnapp her now then. Of coruse, that's be way to suspcious. "In case it wasn't obvious enough already, I don't like people," he stated matter of factly. "The places I 'like' is anything but appropriate for a princess, especilly one who doesn't get out much." With that said, it was easy to assume that he was flat out delcining her reuqest, until... "But there's plenty of other places, so sure. Why not."

Odette had thought that he would have denied her request at his words. Yet it appeared that he was actually going to heed her request. "Really?" She asked with wide eyes. Then she brightened again and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. When she got excited, she tended to show her emotions in ways her mother sometimes said were slightly inappropriate. "Thank you!" She said with a wide grin before she got up and did a little spin in place as she moved to grab another book.

He didn't react much when she suddenly leaned over and kissed his cheek, but he did give her an unamused look afterwards. Now he really didn't see the big problem with ehr getting out of the palace. Aside from doing her some good, she'll fit right in song the crowd. Well, mostly that is. "Don't mention it," he said back with a flat voice, meaning it before closing the book he was looking through and placing it back on the shelf. Looking out the window for a moment, he suddenly turned on his heel and began walking towards the exit. "Let's go." Now was a good time as ever to get out, and from what he's seen, no one would notice the princess absence until much later, if they left now.

Odette felt her smile grow, "Ok." She said and followed after him. It had been awhile since she had gone to visit the town but getting out seemed like a better idea with each second. Brooker was a quiet man but she was beginning to like him. He was blunt and honest which she found refreshing. Most people she talked to only saw her title, and were too afraid to speak their minds in front of her. "So what places did you have in mind?" She asked curiously as they walked in silence part of the way.

"The market, to start off with," he asnwerd bluntly, figuring they coudl start somewhere simple, and yet where it was more than enough for the girl to look aorund and explore in. There's almost always somethng new there to see, and pretty much anythign could happen there as well. while Micheal himself may not be the biggest fan fo that place (mostly beacuse of the crowds and people in general) it was a much better risk dragging the princess there instea dof the places he liked to visit. But first... He stopped, makign Odette almsot wlak right into him at his sudden halt, and turned aorund to give ehr a quick look over. "You need a better outfit," he stated, wrapping her up in a cloak for now in case someone would recognise her. She did stand out, even if she didn't try too.

Odette had been to the market only a handful of times and with a parade of guards behind her. To know that she'd get to see the entire market up close was exciting. "That sounds perfect." She said with a small smile, looking up in surprise as he draped his cloak over her shoulders. Once it settled over her, she didn't feel like a Princess anymore. More like someone who could blend in with the crowd. Of course she'd have to be careful, but that was part of the fun. "Are we riding or walking?" She asked curiously as she looked up at him.

After adjusting the cloak on the princess, almost like a parent fussing about their child being dressed properly he absently realised, he grabbed the hood and pulled it over her head, enough for the rest in the crowd to not pay her any second glance. "Walking," he answered shortly, already walking up on ahead. "Would do you some good. Even royals need their exercise."
