Kayley couldn't help but feel a small relief at his words. She knew he'd keep looking to see if she was lying, but he wouldn't find anything. Her mother's words echoed in her head. Never make a deal with a human, they'll only break it. They will find a way. She pushed the thoughts out of her mind, ignoring them. The deal was airtight. He couldn't break it and neither could she, but a small part of her knew that Joseph would try to find a loophole. Of course, she was surprised that he listened to her at all, much more now that he was considering taking her deal.

Joseph leaned back in his chair as he took another long sip from his drink as he studied her thoughtfully, "Aren't you a little afraid? What if I somehow manage to find a way to break it?" He asked eventually. The idea had been stirring in the back of his mind, granted he'd probably never actually figure out a way to do that but all the same it was something that he had thought about. "What happens then?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

Kayley looked up at him and bit her bottom lip. "Of course I'm afraid. As for what happens...I don't know. My mother would never tell me what the consequences were." She cast her gaze back to the floor and let some of her bangs fall in front of her face. The worst she could think of is that maybe it would kill her, but that didn't really bother her. If she went with a buyer, she'd be dead in a matter of days. At least this way she could live a little longer.

He nodded and considered her words, "Well in that case I'll do my research. I'm not going to break it but I'd like to know what exactly I'm signing up for exactly." He stated firmly as he tilted his chair back a little. Joseph wasn't even entirely sure why he was being so honest with her but he didn't want her to gte hurt. That realization hit him and it bothered him more then he'd ever actually admit.

Kayley looked up at him in surprise and she couldn't help the small smile that spread across her lips. "Thank you..." She wasn't quite sure why she was thanking him, but she felt like he deserved it. After all, he was willing to accept her deal and protect her despite everything that she's put him through, tonight especially. She sat in silence and stared at the floor. "I'm sorry for running away..." The words slipped out before she could stop herself and she had to keep her gaze away from him so she didn't feel foolish for saying it.

Joseph raised an eyebrow at that, honestly surprised by the apology and even more by the fact that he felt a little guilty for how he had reacted. "I shouldn't have hurt you as bad as I did." He said eventually, not quite able to say that he himself was sorry. He just wasn't built like that but he knew he had been in the wrong earlier on and for that he did feel a little bit of regret.

Kayley stole a glance at him and felt herself smile again at his apology. She would never have guessed that there was a side like this to him, and honestly, she liked it. "It's fine. I know I deserved it." She pulled her knees up to her chest and leaned her back against the wall, enjoying the feeling of the cold wall against her back and arms. When he wasn't looking, she tried to steal a glance at him, taking in his figure. He really was attractive, despite what he does with his brother. She remembered the night that she first met him and how his hands held her body when he was showing her to the buyer and felt her cheeks flush slightly.

Joey felt her eyes on him and glanced over to see her studying him in a manner that said she was interested and smirked over at her. "Like what you see?" He asked with amusement, although he didn't bother trying to hide his own interest in her. Kayley was a pretty young woman with the kind of lips he could lose himself in and gorgeous eyes that he found himself constantly staring into.

Kayley jumped at his words and quickly shifted her gaze back down to the floor. She was thankful when her bangs hid her face again, that way he didn't see how much she had blushed. This man made her body tingle and she couldn't figure out why. After everything that he had done to her, she should despise him but she didn't. She didn't hate him and she couldn't figure out why.

Joseph was about to take another drink when he thought that maybe Kayley would like to join him. He swallowed and then held out the still fairly full bottle of beer to her. "You look like you need it." He said in explanation to her questioning look. If she chose to drink with him tonight then maybe he could judge her better. See what she was like when she was inebriated and maybe of course have some fun with her. Yet he wouldn't push her into doing anything just yet.

Kayley looked up at him in confusion when he handed her the bottle. Just as she was about to mention her hands, Joseph reached behind her and took the handcuffs off so she could have some freedom. She slowly took the bottle from him and looked at it curiously. Her mind flashed back to the night she was first brought here and the drink she had then, how it affected her. That had been the only time she had ever had alcohol and quite honestly, she had enjoyed it, despite the bitter taste of that first sip. Kayley nodded her thanks to Joseph as she brought the bottle up to her lips and took a few sips before offering it back to him. The cool alcohol slid down her throat and she could already feel a small buzz in her head. A slight shiver went through her body at how strong the beer tasted. "Does all alcohol taste like this?" What Joseph drank was a little bitter for her taste, but maybe she could get used to that.

Joseph leaned back as he accepted the bottle back, "Not all of it, though there are a few different kinds of drinks that have a strong after taste. Wine on the other hand, now that's a different taste altogether. That can be sweet and heady or soft and simple. Just depends on what interests you." He stated with a little smirk as he drank more then a few sips from the bottle before passing it back to Kayley.

Kayley shuttered slightly as she took a few more sips, her taste buds finally getting used to the taste of the beer. She could already feel a fog slipping over her and she looked down at the bottle in confusion. It was a little under half full, meaning that she had only had about half a bottle. A small thought flashed through her mind, warning her that if she had too much, she could get into some trouble tonight. Of course, being her, she ignored that thought and drank the rest of the bottle, setting it down on the ground next to her. "That tastes awful by the way." A frown showed on her lips as she spoke, her words becoming slightly slurred. A warmth spread throughout her body, giving her an odd feeling of pleasure. Maybe she couldn't handle her alcohol just yet, but she liked the way it made her feel.

Joseph raised an eyebrow as she spoke again, her words were coming out slurred. A sure sign that she was leaning towards becoming drunk. "Well beer usually doesn't taste all that great." He said as he took the bottle and took a longer sip, it felt a little wrong in some respects to still be so clear headed while Kayley was quickly becoming tipsy. "Have you ever had a drink before? I know I gave you some once, but it was only a sip then." He pointed out as he watched her carefully.

Kayley let a small giggle slip past her lips as she tried to stand up, using the wall as a crutch. She shook her head at his words and gave him a soft smile. "Nope, not once." Her eyes traveled along his body, taking in every inch of him. He really was so attractive that it physically hurt. She bit her bottom lip and leaned back against the wall, not even caring that he could see her staring. Her gaze lingered on his lips before they shifted down to his chest. It took all of her concentration to focus on other thoughts in her head, pushing out the ones that clouded her mind of what he might look like shirtless.
