Post by Princess Giselle on Oct 17, 2015 13:24:19 GMT
Giselle walked into the room with an air of grace. She'd attended many parties like this one before but had never been quite as excited as she was now, in a new kingdom, with the opportunity of meeting all sorts of new people. She had kept her hair loose and free and her white mask was decorated with a single red rose. She wore a long flowing dress decorated with flower petals as it reminded her of her favourite garden back home and even though it made her slightly homesick she hoped it would help her represent her kingdom well. 'Thank you,' she said with a smile as a waiter handed her a glass of champagne. She took a small sip as she gazed at the crowd around her.

One could say that Alice and Wendy were on opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to their excitement. Alice was hyper, bouncing up and down and exclaiming "Oh my gosh!" every five seconds. Her excitement was jubilant. She had only been to the palace once before, and it was even more beautiful than she remembered. The decorations were amazing and everyone's outfits were gorgeous. Heck, Alice felt pretty in her own outfit, which was a red dress with black flowers etched on it. Her mask was the same, except reverse: black with red flowers.
Wendy's excitement, on the other hand, was more of a "stunned silence" type. This was the first time she had ever been inside the palace, and the sheer magnitude of it blew her mind. Not to mention, she was in a dress almost as pretty as Alice's. It was a purple color and Alice had picked it out just for her. Her mask was a glittering white. Of course, Alice's father had instructed Wendy to keep an eye on his daughter and make sure she didn't get into trouble while he went to talk with other lords and dukes. Wendy felt like that might be a little challenging, since she was constantly looking around to gaze at the decorations, or the outfits, or the architecture. Not to mention, she hoped she could keep her powers in check. She felt like they had been fluctuating a little bit since the Festival had started, and she didn't want something to go wrong. God forbid she end up making something float through the air or explode.
"What do you think, Wendy?" Alice said with a grin. "Isn't this amazing or what?"
"It sure is," Wendy replied in a quiet voice, her eyes still roaming around the room.
Alice just grinned again before she gave a gasp. "Wendy, look, I think that's Princess Giselle!" she exclaimed, tugging on her friend's arm. Part of Alice's education included knowing some of the members of royalty from other countries. "My father said we had some visiting royalty. Oh my gosh, look at her dress! She looks like a walking flowerbed!"
Wendy had to agree on that point. Giselle's dress was very flowery, but it suited her well. She did manage to snap out of her stupor though and say "Alice, not so loud," in a gentle tone. "How do you know that's even her? You've never seen her before and she's wearing a mask."
Alice frowned. "Hey, it could be her."
Wendy sighed, although she caught her friend still glancing at the woman every now and then, as if she could find out who she was just by staring at her.

Since it was a masquerade ball, she would be safe, her adoptive family had said. It was supposed to be a nice event and she needed to have some fun, they said. Marina wasn't so sure at first, but they managed to convince her to go. Besides, no one had turned them in ever since the proclamation, so maybe it wouldn't hurt at all? It took some time, but in the end they had managed to make something for her, it was a little simple but elegant with some magic one of them had added. Ever since the festival started, all of their magic had somehow becoming stronger. Marina was wearing a long ice blue dress with long sleeves with blue feathers, a feathery veil from her chest reaching down to her ankle's. Her mask was white with small blue shimmering stones, and her hair was tied up. She almost looked like a noble woman. But also more like the spirit bird that had saved her such a long time ago. That was Marina's idea and wish. Everything was so overwhelming as she entered the ballroom. She smiled as she saw someone dressed like a lion and a phoenix. So elegant.

Megara stood by the column staring out of the window at the garden. She bit her bottom lip and tried to calm down by opening and closing the dainty fan in her hands nervously. "I was just gone for a moment to greet the royal family and I've missed you already," Megara thought and settled her purrple mask on her face. "Oh, Lina, where are you?", she moaned through her teeth and irritably brushed aside one of the peacock feathers, which was attached to her mask. "How much patience will it cost me to wear this outfit? I hate this peacock idea already! Ugh," the witch snapped her fingers and, with the help of magic, fixed her messed up hair and her mask. "That's better!", she smiled and moved around the room in an attempt to find her friend out of the crowd. _______________ Here are the dress, the mask and the fan.

((ANNNNND I'm late xD. Sorry xDDDDD))
When Eilonwy & Taran remembered that there was a festival going on, they didn't know what to wear. So, at home, she quickly sews two outfits with the help of their mother. Luckily, she got both of them finished on time and they quickly went to the party in their outfits. ((Not as cats XDDDD)). Eilonwy came in with a flowery pattern on her dress and she had her hair braided; Taran came in with a knight costume on, and had his wooden sword with him. He was looking for the two girls, Wendy and Alice, and once again, it was a lot of people for small children, so, Eilonwy pulled him by the collar. "Mother told us to stay together." "It's a party though, so, we'll all be the same place." He called out back, with a small grumble. He wanted his own night of freedom instead of being nagged by his own sister the whole night.

Phillip, dressed as a black wolf with a dark fur around his shoulders, a wolf mask and simply normal black clothes of great quality, was standing close to the main royal family, especially Odette, to show his rank. He was actually quite relaxed and unimpressed as the hall suddenly got filled pretty fast since he already was used to events like this. The mask btw: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/74/5d/1e/745d1ebf960368443a90e3bd3f98e5d8.jpg

Post by Princess Odette on Oct 17, 2015 19:21:23 GMT
Odette kept her gaze lowered as the guests walked in, her mind wasn't entirely focused on her surroundings. All she could think about was what happened the night before, her body was still sore but she ignored it. A small shiver ran through her body as she saw how many men were around, it was almost enough to make her turn tail and run for the nearest exit. Her mother shot her a disapproving look, seeming to notice how uncomfortable Odette was. Odette let out a carefully measured breath and tried to force herself to relax but she was fairly sure she was failing there. "I think I'm going to get some air." She murmured to Phillip before she lost her nerve and hurried towards the balcony trying not to seem like she was fleeing.

Ariel walked into the ballroom, her hand holding on to James' arm. She was wearing a blue dress. The sleeves rested on her arms, they also held butterflies on them. the dress thankfully covered enough of her scar to make it unnoticeable. The top of her dress clung to her curves while the bottom flowed out. She wore a blue and silver mask that complimented the dress well. It looked like it was carved gently with someone's hands. Her hair was curled and pulled back to keep it out of her face. She wore only a little bit of make up to put together the whole thing. In a way she was disguising herself. Others would come here to not hide themselves, but she was. She knew James' father would be here and she didn't want to look anything like herself. But because of the idea that Miguel would probably be here, she made sure to look recognizable to him, and only him. Other than him, her parents, and James, no one knew what she looked like. And she wanted to keep it that way. As she walked into the ballroom, her green eyes widened at how beautiful it looked. Her hand gripped at James' arm tighter as she let out a little gasp. She watched as some people danced, while others got drinks and talked to each other. She could feel her heart beating faster. Once they got onto the ballroom floor, that was when she started to feel uneasy. Her hand gripped his arm even tighter. "I don't know if I like being here.. I don't want anyone to figure us out." She said softly in a whisper to where only James could hear her as she looked up at him. "I almost feel like something bad could happen here tonight." She admitted as she got a bit closer to him, wanting to feel safe. Usually she was never this scared, but she was in a unfamiliar territory and she had no idea how to act. The thought of someone finding them out kept running through her mind. No matter how much she tried to push the thought aside, it always came back. Though nothing terrified her more then Frollo finding out about her and that she knew about James.. ARIEL'S MASKARIEL'S DRESS

Post by Anastasia Tremaine on Oct 17, 2015 19:32:00 GMT
Anastasia was attending the ball with her parents which would hardly leave her really alone or let her out of her sight as she feared. Now that the prince had a possible fiancee that was by far prettier than her and even of royal blood another suitor had to be found and that quickly and since the ball offered to wear a mask as it would be nothing it was the chance! At least that was what her parents thought. Anastasia on the other hand just wanted to try to have at least a little fun and hoped more than anything to meet Jim again. She really did miss him, even so much that everytime she only thought about him it hurted so much to know he wasn´t here. As the gates opened Anastasia surely was amazed by all the decorations and great atmosphere, not to mention all the beautiful costumes! She herself was dressed as a swan in a elegant white dress with wings and a swan mask which compared to all the other beautys that night almost made her feel like nothing special at all. Phillip new right away what was going on when Odette suddenly or rather just at the beginning of the event hurried out of the hall and towards the balcony. How could he not since he knew all to well what she had experienced just recently. With a bow nod to the kind and queen as well as to the princess and prince he excused himself to go after Odette, to see if she was alright and all that. Far more slower than Odette though still with a good speed Phillip went to the balcony as well and slowly approached her. "Everything alright with you?"

Odette had just managed to slightly calm herself when she heard Phillip's voice and turned around to face him, "I'm afraid I just had a rough night last night." She said eventually with a strained smile at him. The wolf costume he wore only made her more nervous but that was ridiculous, Phillip would never hurt her. "Terrible dreams and all that." Odette added with a dismissive wave of her hand, in a manner that made it seem like she wasn't bothered at all. "You should go back and enjoy yourself, I'll be back in a moment. I just need some time to myself." She went on as she looked back up at the night sky.

Megara glanced at the crowd and in her peripheral vision she saw her cousine rushing through it. Her groom who was dressed as a wolf followed her from behind. Since Megara still couldn't find Lina, she decided to find out what was the reason of their strange behavior. She followed the prince and smiled, "Prince Phillip, I'm pleased to meet you," she said with a flirty curtsy. "May I steal you for a dance?", she giggled and looked up to Odette. Poor thing was so pale. "I wonder why...", Megara thought, but gave no sign that she was worried.

Post by James Frollo on Oct 17, 2015 19:58:15 GMT
James walked into the ballroom with Ariel clinging to his side. He had picked out an outfit that would match hers but not a particularly obvious way. The vest he wore was a simple white traced with streams of silver. Blue accenting the color and cuffs in a way that made it look like he and Ariel belonged together.. His mask featured silver swirls with an accent of blue all the way across it's face. He had never been one to dress up, or even go to parties at all, but Ariel had seemed so excited only a few nights before so he decided to make an exception. The room seemed to glow with a festival feeling as couples moved across the floor, dancing and laughing. James tugged at his mask, irritated by the feeling of it against his skin. He had never understood the point of masquerades but tonight, he had decided maybe they weren't so bad after all. Now that he had a reason to hide, and someone to hide, he was silently grateful for it. He glanced down at Ariel as she spoke, her grip tightening on his arm. "Come on, you were so excited yesterday. We'll be fine." James gently squeezed her hand to reassure her. She had a right to be nervous though and he knew that. After all, this was a ball where they were surrounded by people, supernatural or not, and anyone could be dangerous. Gently slipping his arm around her waist, James pulled them onto the dance floor. "Let's dance. Maybe that will help your nerves." He gave her a soft smile and bowed to her before taking her hand. james' maskjames' outfit
