Joseph stepped back only once she handed the ring back to him, "Thank you." He said stiffly as he checked to make sure the ring was inside. "Had anything happened to this ring, I would have punished you very severely." Joseph said quietly. His eyes flicked back up to meet hers, "You should know not to touch what doesn't belong to you." He continued darkly. One hand moved up and wrapped around her neck in a threatening manner.

Kayley's body barely even flinched when his hand moved up and wrapped around her neck, knowing that he would want to punish her in some way. Her eyes flashed red at him as she pulled her leg up and kneed him in the stomach, not hard enough to hurt him but enough to cause his grip to loosen. She ducked down and slipped out from beneath his grip, spinning away from him. "You're one to talk. That's all you do." The words spilled out of her mouth before she could stop herself and she backed away from him slightly. It wasn't very smart of her but she was getting tired of being manhandled by everyone. It was time for her to stand up for herself. "Maybe I should have let you sell Jasmine. I don't know why I even cared about you getting hurt." She crossed her arms and frowned before turning her back to him as she started to walk away. It was hard to believe that this version of him irritated her so much yet there was something about him that made him irresistible to her.
