After the last night Jane was a total mess and once she had reaced her room she didn´t come out until afternoon. Walking down the stairs like a zombie she was heading right to the kitchen, hoping there would be still something left of she could eat. The last thing that she needed now was having to hunt or go to the market, not that she was really having much money anyways, to get food.

Even though Laila hasn't been in Paradise for that long, she could quickly see which places she would feel comfortable in. What she wanted right now was a roof over her head- and this inn looked promising. She entered the building, and swiftly took a look around the place. It was empty, and Laila took off her hood. The silence broke when something moved around further inside, and Laila followed the sound. She peeked into the room where the noise came from, and noticed the elven girl.
"Excuse me, do you run this place?" She asked and took a step inside the kitchen. "How much for a room for a day or two?"

After a nice little search Jane eventually found herself some of the meat she had brought the other day which was now cooked together with some vegetables and now just having her first bite when she jumped in suprise as someone suddenly spoke to her. "Me? Eh no I´m only living here. The one running this place is called Gothel and should either be around here somewhere or come back soonish I guess. Anyways to my knowledge the only pay you have to do here is helping but Gothel surely will explain you everything once she comes back."

"I see." Laila sighed while she briefly inspected the kitchen. Her gaze then turned back to the girl as she leaned towards the doorframe. "So.. Are you from around here?" Laila asked and tilted her head to the side. "It must be hard to blend in with those cute ears of yours - especially among humans"

"Mmmmh not really no, to be honest though I can´t tell exactly how far away I am from my former home since I travelled for some time." Jane answered the first question before she ate some more and signaled the stranger to be welcome to come closer and have something to eat as well if she´d like to. "Well the good thing is that they´re not that giant. So they are more or less easy to hide due some hairstyles. How about you? Anything to hide?"

Laila smiled gently as she walked towards the girl, and scanned the plate with food before she picked up a piece of vegetable and ate it. "Mhm, cooked food." She happily sighed before she started to laugh at herself. "I'm sorry - I have been travelling as well for some time now, and I'm a horrible chef." Laila giggled before she took another piece from the plate. "And no, I've nothing to hide. Not at the moment anyways." She smiled before turning quite serious. "Say, are the rumors true? Will you be punished here if you are -- stronger than others?"

Jane sighed at the question and couldn´t keep herself from looking awefully sad at the woman. "You have no idea. Yes ther is a proclamation against non human being but since yesterday things most likely will be getting even worse. You know ... there was a big masquerade ball happening and I can´t tell you to much since most I didn´t see frist hand but things got really mad and in short, the king died. So if you have any phisical attributes that prove you as non human being then you either have to be damn careful or try to leave for a better place. However it still is possible to live her though and not all humans share the offical opinion."

"The king died?" Laila asked with a frown. "Who killed him? And how could it possible be worse? I thought it was the king who wanted all non-human beings gone?!" This was some new information for her, but it sounded like something she could take advantages from. Laila knows how the politics works in the palace..

"I don´t know the exact circumstances since I ... well I was locked out due mysterious reasons but yes he got killed and apparently not from a human." Before she continued Jane sighed. Yes, the situation for her kind already wasn´t the best but still it could get worse and she was afraid of when and how it would happen. "Yes, the king set the proclamation up but will or already did turn into prove for people to fear us and more, to get rid of us."

"So who takes the throne now?" Laila asked as she playfully stole some more pieces of food from Jane's plate. "Will one of his kids, or is people talking about some sort of revolution?" She continued to ask. "I mean.. Why don't the people like us take the throne now when it's empty? It could save alot of life."

Jane´s jaw dropped when she heard the question or rather the suggestion from the woman. "A revolotion? Well sure we could do that ... but first of all you´d need to gather enough people for that but anyways a lot of people would die, maybe even more than under the current circumstances and who knows, maybe the prince or rather now the new king isn´t like his father in this matter. Not to mention that a revolotion might even attract other countries trying to conquer as the kingdom will be weak for a time once the revolution is over."

"It's better than to sit and just wait for the guards to take you away." Laila shrugged, and glanced at Jane. "But I understand you, just wanted to ask." She said as she began to walk around in the kitchen- before turning to Jane again with a smile. "My name is Laila, by the way."

After completing her daily harvest, Rapunzel walked in from the Herb Garden with a large basket of herbs tucked under her arm. Humming as she went, she put down the basket if herbs on the side; not noticing the two other women in the kitchen.

Something made her uncomfortable, but she still kept a smile on her lips. "Hi there." She said happily. "Are you the one who runs the inn? I would like a room, please." |

Rapunzel turned in surprise but quickly composed herself
"Yes that's me!"
She gave a broad smile
"Welcome to The Golden Torch Inn! Most people call me Gothel. I'm, as you said, the owner of this establishment."
She gave Jane a small smile in greeting before turning her attention back to the young woman who stood before her.
"How long are you hoping to stay?'
