Kayley tried to ignore him, but he didn't seem like he was going anywhere anytime soon. "You destroyed my life...why am I worth anything to you anyway?" She lifted her head to meet his gaze. It's only been a week since her birthday, since she found out what she was. Her powers were still only minor things, but they'll still grow stronger every day. "I could set you on fire, that's one thing." She practically spit the words at him as she glared. "Then I'd just heal you and do it all over again. See how you like being burned." Kayley focused her anger on him so much that the house began to shake, dust falling into their heads. Her energy was being drained, and fast, but she couldn't let him think that she's giving up.

Joseph watched with amusement as she finally gave into her emotions. The threats didn't bother him, he'd heard them all before. Plus...well she looked nearly adorable when she was getting angry like this. "You could but I don't think you'd have the guts. Oh sure you can threaten it...but you're not the type to go around hurting people. Although you do look very cute when you do." He said with a smirk as Kayley started to shake the house. The house for all how it appeared wouldn't be coming down any time soon and eventually the girl would tire. "Do you always get this upset?" He couldn't help but ask, which probably wasn't the smartest thing to say in the situation.

Kayley gritted her teeth as she did her best to keep up the act. Unfortunately she couldn't hold it much longer, her face grimacing in pain. Not long after, the shaking ceased and she was gasping for air. Her body broke into a cold sweat as she hung her head again. She hated how confidant this guy was and how he was just sitting there...watching her. "Tell me something...how did you find out? What I am?" Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper, but she managed to keep some strength in it.

He watched her as she finally gave up and shrugged, "Well it wasn't hard. I'm someone who knows what to look for, it's all in the tells. After that it's a simple matter of observing and seeing the results. If I'm correct, I take people like you in. Of course where I take you isn't exactly legal by the King's standards." He added with a snort. The King had different plans for those that he took in, they were made as examples to those who he had yet to capture. The unlucky few that the King took were killed in very public executions. "In fact you should be thanking me, where you'll be going is much better then the gallows I'm sure." He pointed out with a small smile.

After a long moment, she finally was able to breath steadily. She slowly brought her gaze up to his, her eyes finally returning back to their original brown state. "Don't try to use that proclamation as a threat to me...you can kill me at any time if you really wanted." She frowned as she leaned back against the wall, trying to keep herself stable and somewhat strong in front of him. "So what happens to me once I'm...sold?" The words felt sour coming out of her mouth, but if it was going to happen, she might as well know in advance.

Joseph smirked, "I was just pointing out the facts sweetheart." He said teasingly as he studied her. "As for what happens to you after, well that depends on the buyer. Each of them has things they like to do. Honestly though I don't care what they do. In the end, it's all about the money. Which in your case is going to be quite the payload. Who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy what happens to you." He said mockingly as he pulled out a cigar. "As it is, I'll be getting my money soon enough. Later tonight you'll meet another potential buyer. He's not as respectable as our previous buyer though." He said in a manner that didn't leave much to the imagination.

Kayley shuddered at the thought of meeting another buyer. They could only get worse and worse from this moment forward. "Could you at least unchain me then? I won't do anything...I just want to move around..." Her limbs felt so limp that her body was getting sore from being propped up. Plus, she'd like to get some movement in before she was confined by that stupid ring again.

Joseph studied her thoughtfully, "Fine but if I so much as get the impression that you'll try and escape...I won't make it easy on you." He said, his tone promising that he'd only make it worse for her if she so much as tried to escape. He leaned over and undid the cuffs before he stepped back and shut the door, locking it behind him as he did so. "Care for a drink?" He asked as he moved to pour himself a brandy. It had been a long day and he was ready to start drinking. Of course he never drank too much when he was watching his captives. He had learned after all, some things were better when you were sober.

Kayley breathed a sigh of relief when she was released, her body crumbling into a tiny ball on the floor. She remained still for a moment before slowly pushing herself up into a sitting position. Her eyes glanced at the brandy and she shrugged. "Sure...might as well make my first drink my last one too." She frowned slightly, cursing herself in her head because she didn't save any of her strength. This could be her chance of escape, but she was too exhausted to even attempt anything. Besides, he's made his threats, and she didn't really want to test and see if he'll uphold them.

Joseph raised an eyebrow at her, "Usually all I ever hear is how I might poison one of my many captives." He commented as he filled a glass for her and handed it over to her before filling a glass for himself. "Trust me poison isn't nearly as much fun as a slow death." He said with a fierce grin before he drank the entire glass in one gulp. He made a face as the taste hit him and set the glass on a table not too far away from where he currently sat.

Kayley took the glass, not even bothering to thank him. "If you wanted to kill me, I'm sure you would have done it by now." She muttered under her breath as she took a small sip. The sharp taste caught her off guard and she made a small face. It tasted awful, but she liked the feel of it as it went down her throat. Shrugging, she knocked the rest of it back and set the glass down on the floor next to her. She could already feel a buzz starting in the back of her head. Sitting in silence, Kayley finally took the time to look at her captor. She tried to keep it discreet, not wanting to give him another thing to make fun of her for. To her surprise, he was fairly attractive. Obviously much older than her, but it didn't seem to bother her much. When her eyes glanced over his arms, she remembered the feeling of him holding her up during the meeting with the buyer. He had a strong build, which was something she always like in a man.

Joseph chuckled and saluted her with his cup, "Like what you see?" He asked playfully as he felt her eyes on him. He didn't mind the attention, he was after all very much aware of how his looks could serve to help him. Joseph while not entirely vain didn't have a problem using his looks to get what he wanted and Kayley definitely fit what he normally looked for. She was pretty in an almost unassuming way, but her eyes were striking and he rather liked that feature.

Steps could then be heard heading towards the door, and only a moment later it was shoved open, revealing the exact walking mirror of Joseph walking inside. This one, however, had his expression blank, completely void of any emotion whatsoever, and don't as much as spare a glance towards Kayley's direction. Without a word, he walked ver towards where Joseph was, dropping a heavy bag filled with gold coins on the table as he passed it before disappearing inside another room, surely to change out of something more clean than his current blood drenched clothes. Barely a minute later he was back from the room, with a cleaner shirt on and wipping his face off with a damp cloth. "I see the ring works fine," he finally spoke then, his voice low and cold, as if really not giving a single fuck, while he served hismelf a drink.

Kayley jumped when his voice broke her concentration, her face burning a light red color. Her gaze shifted to the door as it swung open, her heart practically stopping after seeing who walked through. Two....There's two of him!? Her eyes widened as she watched the other man make his way through the room. She didn't dare say a word, obviously getting the idea that this version was not so friendly. Her eyes involuntarily began to turn a soft golden color as fear crept over her body. So much had happened to her in less than twenty-four hours, she wasn't sure she was even thinking straight. The buzz from her drink began to spread slowly through her body, making her regret having that drink. Bad time to test how well she could handle it...

Joey smirked when he saw Kayley's reaction to Michael who walked in without saying anything to her, he always enjoyed those moments when people were dumbstruck. "Yeah as it always does." He said with a small smile at Michael when he walked back to join them now in fresh blood. He wasn't entirely sure where the blood had come from but he was sure Michael would tell him later. "Get in a fight?" He asked after a moment, not quite able to hide the protective note in his voice.
