"Not really," Micheal asnwerd blankly, gluping down his drink in one go without hesitation, drinking the up the strong liquid as if it were simple water. "Just one of those buyer's who thought they could get away without paying up," he continuted with the same, emotionless tone like he always spoke with. The fool had thought it'd be a great idea telling his men to sneak up on behind him, stupidly enough. Only to half a minute later stare down in horror at little massacre Micheal had executed on the poor bastards. Of course for that little stunt, the buyer himself didn't get away unpunished. He was alive still, just one leg less than before, and no money whatsoever. But hey, at least he got his precious meremaid wrapped up neatly on his doorstep. On the good side however (for the twins) they got 'payed' double the amount the original price. "Trying to have fun with faerie before selling her off I see," he then added bluntly, first then givign Kayley a glance. "Don't break this one before the deal, this time."

Kayley had been watching the two as they spoke, her mind still trying to wrap around the fact that there was two of them. When Michael finally gave a glance at her, she couldn't help but jump slightly. She could obviously tell that they had different personalities, one with a cold demeanor and the other was kind of a jokester. Personally, she preferred the jokes that Joseph made over this version of him that terrified her. 'Don't break this one before the deal, this time.' His words made her eye Joseph curiously. What did he mean by this time?

Joseph frowned at that, "Knowing you I'm sure you dealt with him." He said after a moment not caring what Michael had done, knowing that Michael only ever had his reasons for doing things. He had a feeling that Michael hadn't killed him, though he was sure the man was missing vital body parts not that Joseph minded. At Michael's other words a tiny smirk grew on his face, "And what if I am? It's nothing I haven't done this sort of thing before." He pointed out as he leaned back in his chair.

"True," Micheal agreed with flatly, serving himself another glass of the strong drink, giving Kayley another unreadable look. He knew he didn't need to remind his brother of how much this little faerie was worth, seeing as he's the one was currently 'responsible' for her, so at least he Micheal could be sure she 'accidentily' wouldn't end up dead, before their deal was over and done with. "I'm surprsied she's still concious though," he commented then, looking back at his brother, giving hime a small, teasign smirk that probably only Jospeh would be able to get. "Growing soft are ya."

Kayley frowned as they spoke between the two of them for some time. Her head was still in a fog from the drink and she felt exhausted, but she couldn't even consider closing her eyes in front of these two. "You do realize I'm sitting right here, right?" She blurted out without even thinking. Her hands covered her mouth, realizing she had just done something she shouldn't have.

Joseph's smile became slightly more vicious, "Oh who says I'm growing soft?" He asked with a look in his eye that Michael would no doubt recognize. At Kayley's remark, he let out a grim laugh "Oh we haven't forgotten, have we?" He asked before he turned to look at Michael. "So how much did you get from selling the mermaid?" He asked bluntly. The mermaid had been one both he and Michael had been lucky to catch, though it was mostly Michael who had done the work there. "Mermaids are after quite rare, not unlike you." He added with a little aside to Kayley.

"Your actions," Micheal easily shot back with, pulling out a chair for himself and sat down. Wether he heard Kayley or not, he still seemed to be flat out ignoring her, like always just letting his brother do the talking. When Joseph asked about the mermaid he just gave a low hum at first, gesturing towards the all to full and heavy sack of gold coins by the edge of the table. Joseph would abel to tell the amount by his own. As his twin went back to address the faerie once more, Micheal followed his gaze and glanced back at the girl once again, his expression still the same, unreadable and empty. But it also looked like he was studying her.

Kayley glared at Joseph at his remark, her eyes giving him a flash of red before turning back to normal. She had always hated it when people talked about her right in front of her. It was something her mother had always done as she was growing up. Just the constant comments of, 'why did she spend all of her time working?', 'why wasn't she out looking for a husband?' were enough to make her instantly angry. Now she had to sit here while these two did the same thing. When Michael's gaze fell on her, she couldn't help but fight her instinct to squirm. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, making herself smaller.

Joseph smirked at Michael's words not quite able to deny it, he moved to count out the money noticing that Michael was studying Kayley with some guarded interest. "I already called dibs." He said in a low undertone that Kayley probably heard not that Joseph cared. He knew Michael didn't fall into bed with much of anyone, so he knew Michael wasn't going to go after Kayley like he himself no doubt probably would.

Obviously, Kayely didn't exactly feel comfrotabel when Micheal looked her over, but the moment Jospeh spoke up calling 'dibs' on her, he only gave snort and looked away again. "A mere child..." he mutterd, sipping on his drink. He really didn't care wether his brother was intressted or not in the faerie, or if he ended up hurting her not. As long as she was still breathing and in good enough shape when they prestented her to the next buyer.

Kayley felt her cheeks flame at Joseph's words, knowing immediately what he meant. She did find him incredibly attractive but after everything that's happened, she wasn't sure how she felt about the idea just yet. Her gaze turned to the other man and her lips frowned when Michael called her a child. She waited until neither of the men were looking at her to stick her tongue out at him momentarily. "I'm not a child..." She mumbled to herself quietly before resting her chin on her knees.
