Naveen's body was slumped over in his chair, his body completely still in the firelight while the rest of the room was shrouded in darkness. Scattered around his feet were empty bottles of liquor, smaller vials and needles mixed in with the mess. Over the past few weeks since he had last seen Nita, Naveen had thrown himself into finding a way to save her from his father. He was convinced she was being held against her will and he planned on getting her back. Somehow he had gotten Eric to leave him alone and ever since then, he hadn't left his room. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he twitched, a pained look coming to his face. He had slipped into a concentrated trance, running all sorts of different scenarios in his head. Another small vial slipped out of his hand, small blue pills spilling out into the floor. The sound echoed around the room, the silence would have been almost too much to bear if he was of a conscious state. It had been so many years since he had picked up a drug and now he had taken at least one of everything...He had stopped when he cut it too close one time shortly after meeting Eric and the two made a pact to keep it from happening ever again.

Eric had left Naveen alone for a few weeks, figuring he'd need some time to himself. However he hadn't seen him once in all that time, so he decided to check up on him. He knocked on the door but no one answered and then he decided to open the door. As soon as he opened the door, he felt his heart plummet. Everywhere he looked the room was littered in liquor bottles and needles. His nose wrinkled in distaste and he carefully made his way through the mess. He hadn't seen Naveen this bad in a long time, and it made him worry. "Damn it Naveen." He muttered under his breath before he strode over to the window and yanked open the curtains. Light streamed in and highlighted the entire room in all it's clutter. It was clear now that Naveen hadn't showered or changed clothes in a long time and Eric grimaced. He strode towards Naveen, having to watch where he stepped before he stood right in front of Naveen. He examined him and noticed the needle marks on Naveen's arms and the shadows under Naveen's eyes. His eyes landed on the bottle of blue pills in Naveen's hand and he pulled it free. Making a face, Eric slapped Naveen across the face hard enough to hopefully get him out of his drug infused haze. "Rise and shine Naveen." He said dryly as he waited for Naveen to stir.

Naveen's body flinched when a sudden stream of light shone right over his face. Suddenly, a sharp pain burned on his cheek and his head limply slammed to the side. A strangled groan slid past his lips as his body slowly came back to life. "What...Eric, what the hell?" Naveen struggled to lift his head, his neck leaning against the back of the chair and he glared over at Eric. He always seemed to interrupt him just as he was about to make a breakthrough and Naveen hated him for that. "What do you want? I told you to leave me alone." Naveen brought his leg up and weakly kicked Eric in the stomach, trying to usher him away. He had been so close to having a plan on getting Nita free but now that Eric had interrupted him, the whole idea was fading...and fading fast. Within a few minutes, he would have no remembrance of what he had worked on. Naveen gripped the sides of his seat as he adjusted his position, slowly realizing that the vial that had been in his hand was no longer there and he caught a glimpse of it in Eric's hand. "Don't spill those. They're hard to get...and expensive as hell."

Eric rolled his eyes, not even phased by Naveen's weak attempt at kicking him. "Be that as it may I need the list Naveen." He said and held out his hand for the list that Naveen presumably had on hand for situations such as this. "I know you think you're about to have a break through, but I need to know what I'm dealing with." He said sternly. Ever since Naveen had gone too far once, he had made Naveen swear to create a complete list of everything that he taken for moments like this. He just hoped that Naveen had actually remembered their little pact and had the list, otherwise he wouldn't know what to expect. "So what kind of break through have you made? Or is that top secret?" He asked with a frown as he studied the room with a sigh. Doubtless, he'd have to be the one to clean up the mess but so long as Naveen survived he wouldn't care.

Naveen pouted at his words and groaned in annoyance. "I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't done anything." He stuck his tongue out before he tried to push himself out of his seat but his body felt too heavy and he slammed back down. "You and you're damn lists...I hate it." His hand lifted from the side of the chair and moved between his leg and the side of the cushion. When he pulled it out, in his grasp was a crumpled piece of paper covered in black ink on both sides. He lazily threw it at Eric, not even caring that it bounced off the man's chest. Scribbled in barely legible writing was a list of every alcohol he had drank and each drug he had taken during his last session. It was more than he'd ever done before, the amount nearing dangerously towards an overdose and a dreadful hangover. Though at Eric's next question, Naveen grinned up at him. "I had a plan on how to save her...from him. It was perfect. And then you came in and I lost it." Naveen's grin slowly turned into a dark frown and he reached out, gripping the bottom of Eric's shirt. He tried to look menacing but he hadn't moved in days and it clearly wasn't doing him any good. His chin was covered in stubble since he hadn't shaved and his hair was messy and misgroomed.

Eric glanced down at the list that Naveen threw at him and frowned when he saw how lengthy the entire thing was. His eyes narrowed as he deciphered Naveen's sloppy handwriting. "Well I'm glad we made that pact, you could die from taking all these in such heavy amounts!! Not to mention the damage it could do to you! Don't you care about your own health?" He demanded and then frowned at Naveen's next words, merely raising an eyebrow down at him when Naveen gripped his shirt. "If by her you mean Nita? Naveen, she made her decision to leave....you have to respect her choice. I know it's not what you want to hear but that's the truth." Eric said with a frown as he brushed Naveen's hands off of him. "Come back to reality Naveen...please. I've never seen you like this." He said quietly, he'd have to contact Nita and see if maybe she could reason with her brother. It scared him to see Naveen like this, he had thought the Naveen who had hit on him had been bad...but this was so much worse.

Naveen rolled his eyes when Eric scolded him and stared down at this hands. "It helps me think, you know that..." He frowned and nudged his foot, a bottle rolling away from him and into the mess that surrounded them. Though when Eric mentioned Nita, he cringed and anger instantly flooded him. She had chosen to leave, he knew that. But he didn't believe her. He hadn't touched the letter she gave him since that night...he didn't want an explanation. He wanted her back. "That doesn't mean I have to accept it!" Naveen growled and slammed his fist down on the arm of the chair. He pushed himself up out of the chair and shoved Eric away so he could stand. His hands gripped the edge of the chair for support until he could finally stand on his own and he stumbled as he tried to walk away. Eric was only looking out for him but he didn't want him too. Naveen was tired of losing her. When she forgot him, when she was kidnapped by Eddie, and now to his own father. "Are you so sure I'm even part of reality Eric? I mean, look at my life. Raised by an abusive father that had tried to kill me on several occasions since I was ten. My girlfriend killed me, turned me into..this. And then I found you, a freaking sea serpent that I helped turn human. I fucked my own sister thinking it was a good idea and now my father has her and is doing..oh right, just that, fucking my little sister! It's like the gods have decided to just..shit, all over my life and you expect me to come back to it all?" Naveen had turned to Eric, his eyes blazing with anger and sadness. Just as he was about to turn to leave again, a sharp pain shot through his chest down to his stomach and he gasped, clutching his stomach as he doubled over, his hand gripping onto the table until he fell to his knees. His body was rejecting the drugs much faster than he had anticipated. Everything inside felt like it was burning and he groaned in pain before he held up his hand to Eric. "I'm fine...I'm fine, it's just part of the process..."

Eric watched Naveen as he stumbled away and frowned as he kept talking. Though he immediately hurried to Naveen's side when he doubled over. "You're not fine! You've been cooped up in this godforsaken room doing drugs and it's going to kill you! Aurora!" He called out and a few moments later a plume of dark green smoke filled the room and Aurora appeared. "You would not believe- Naveen?" Aurora took in Eric and Naveen with a horrified expression before she took in the rest of the room. "Eric...please tell me that this isn't what I think it is." She whispered quietly. Eric ran a hand over his face, not meeting Aurora's eyes as he did so before wordlessly handing the list over to her. Aurora took it with a frown and blinked as she took in all the drugs that were written there. "And this is everything he's taken?" She asked quietly as she raised her gaze to meet Eric's own. Eric nodded and watched as she moved towards Naveen. "You're still upset about Nita leaving huh?" She asked quietly as she examined him with a critical eye.

Naveen laid his forehead on the ground beneath him, his body crumpled into a ball. His heart pounded in his ears and the sound was so deafening, he covered his ears with his hands trying to drown it out. He barely even registered when Eric had called Aurora and he growled in pain. "More...I need more and it will stop." Naveen struggled up to his knees and gripped onto Eric, patting his body down frantically as he searched for the vial he had taken from him earlier. He found it tucked into the man's pocket but when he pulled it out, it was empty. "Damn it I told you not to spill them!" Naveen yelled and threw the bottle across the room. He was sweating even more now from the burning inside of him and his hands clawed at his stomach, his nails digging into the skin beneath his shirt. Though when Aurora spoke to him, he froze, almost terrified like she had appeared like a ghost before him. He looked up at her and his gaze darkened. "Don't..don't you dare. You can't just show up here and judge me and then heal me like you're some god. I need this! I need to find a way to save her!" Another wave of pain shot over him and he cried out before he crumpled into a ball again.

Eric and Aurora exchanged looks before Aurora shook her head, "He's not going to stop until he has what he needs. I want you to keep him monitored, make sure he doesn't slip and if his vitals plummet...call me." She said quietly and glanced down at Naveen with an unreadable look in her eyes. "I really hope this is worth it Naveen." She said quietly before she disappeared in another plume of smoke. Eric sighed and reached into his pocket where he had put the blue pills. "Here." He said quietly as he handed them over to Naveen, it was clear he didn't approve of letting Naveen have the drugs once more.

Naveen looked up when Eric held out his hand and his hand shot out and grabbed the pills. He shoved them in his mouth hungrily, grabbing a bottle that was nearby and still had a bit of liquor in it to wash them down. After a few moments, the pain ceased and he sat up with his head leaned back. A satisfied sigh flew past his lips and he slowly opened his eyes. "There...all better." He grinned and looked up at Eric, silently ignoring the look of disapproval he held on his face. "Would you rather I tear out my own organs because that's what would have happened. Give me that list." Naveen snatched the paper back and pulled out a pen from his pocket, scribbling more onto the wrinkled paper where it would fit. Once this session wore off, he'd have to start a new list but he wasn't finished yet. Eric had pulled him from his thoughts so now he'd have to start all over again. The pills were a start considering he was still high from everything else he had taken so it wouldn't be too hard to go back..assuming Eric would let him. Whenever he went into his trance, his immune system drops dramatically. With this amount of drugs, it was highly likely that he may never wake back up. If Eric wouldn't let him, he'd need help purging it all out of his system.

Eric folded his arms and watched as Naveen took the pills, it was clear he didn't approve of letting Naveen do so. "I'm not letting you go back into a trance Naveen, with this level of drugs in your system you might not wake up. I am not going to lose you again, you keep hurting yourself like this and one day I might not be there for you." He ran a hand along his face. "I know you want to save Nita and I will help you with that. I just can't stand by and let you hurt yourself like this anymore." A humorless laugh left him then, "Every single time I've seen you like this, I always worry that that'll be the day I lose you. You're a lot stronger then the drugs Naveen...I know you are." He said quietly before he took the list and put it in his pocket.

Naveen sighed and pushed himself up to his feet, using Eric as a crutch for a moment. "Fine...but if you won't let me, I'll need help getting rid of it all." He leaned over a picked up a knife that was lying on the table, putting it in Eric's hands. "We can do it the hard way...or get Aurora back. It's your choice." He sighed and moved to sit in his chair, letting Eric choose. It would be easy purging it from his stomach but blood was another story. He'd have to bleed it out over time but it would be tricky and take lots of time. If they could get Aurora back, she would probably be able to help much faster but whether she would be willing...that was another story.

Eric blinked in surprise, "Really?" He asked in surprise before he glanced down at the knife that Naveen handed him. "Yeah I'd rather have Aurora do it." He said with a squeamish look on his face. Even though he was fairly adjusted in his human body, the sight of blood still freaked him out. "Aurora?" He called out and a second later Aurora appeared once again in the plume of smoke. "Is everything ok Eric?" She asked as she brushed herself off. Eric nodded, "He's going to let us purge the drugs out of his system." He said and Aurora raised an eyebrow. "Really? Well I'm glad he's finally come to his senses." She muttered before she crouched next to Naveen and studied him thoughtfully. "Give me your hand." She said and held out her own for Naveen to take.

Naveen stared into the fire when he heard Aurora appear once again, wondering if he made a mistake letting them help. Was it too late to change his mind? If he hurried, then he could get into his trance and then block them out. Before he could make up his mind, Aurora was crouched next to him and he looked down at her. She held out her hand to him and he hesitated for a moment. It had taken him weeks to find the right amount that could get in into the perfect trance and he'd spent two days unconscious for it. He hadn't eaten or bathed for days and it all would have been for nothing. After a moment, he sighed and nodded, taking Aurora's hand in his own. He was surprised she wasn't asking for an apology considering how rude he had been to her earlier..yet he was grateful she was still willing to help.
