Addiction (tag: Eric)

Naveen nodded at her warning and braced himself for what was to come. As she started to purge him, a sharp pain shot through his lungs and he sucked in a gasp. His whole body tingled like he was being pricked with a thousand needles and he erupted into a fit of coughs. A thick, dark vapor erupted from his lungs and he heaved until he had nothing left. His whole body suddenly felt like it weighed a million pounds and his eyes rolled into the back of his head as he slumped forward into Aurora. It had been weeks since he had even slept and now that he didn't have the weight of the drugs in his system, he felt exhaustion taking over. His skin turned pale from the sudden loss, already feeling the effects of withdrawal. Naveen felt Eric and Aurora lift him out of his chair and into the bed, his whole body becoming enveloped in it's softness. A sigh flew past his lips, almost in relief as he slowly came to again. His body ached with the absence of the drugs and he involuntarily scratched at the needle marks on his arms. "I'm sorry....I'm so confused. I need her...she keeps me sane.." Naveen sighed, his eyes still closed as he spoke like he was talking in his sleep but he knew he was awake even if he didn't want to be.

Naveen felt a small smile try to come to his face and he sighed. Ever since she left, he had fallen into every hell hole he had been in in the past century but now it was all happening again in less than a six month period. He had gotten back into drinking and whoring around, his anger issues had grown tremendously and now he was being sucked back into drugs. If he continued at this rate, by the time Nita had her children, there was a good chance he wouldn't be around anymore. Though when he heard Eric say that they needed to bring her here, he groaned and gripped Eric's hand tighter. "No...she can't..she can't see me like this. I don't..." His words died off as he slipped unconscious for a moment and his grip loosened on Eric. The paleness returned to his skin as his body chilled before he suddenly sucked in a breath and he opened his eyes. His whole body was still in shock from the sudden loss of the drugs but he was slowly working on getting past the episodes. He knew Eric would bring Nita even if he said no and he didn't want to have one in front of her.

Naveen tried to reach out for Aurora but instead of connecting with her body, his hand fell in the air as she disappeared. "Eric, please. Don't let her.." Before he could finish his sentence, Aurora reappeared with Nita in hand and he cursed. Damn it he would kill her for this. Nita didn't need to know how bad he was and now that she did, she'd never stop feeling guilty. He tried to push himself up when Aurora and Eric started to leave but the world suddenly went spinning and he sank back into the bed. Naveen averted his gaze from her, not wanting her to see how low he had fallen. He was sure he looked terrible even though Aurora had given him new clothes to wear. "Nita..." His voice caught in his throat when she shifted and wrapped her arms around him, her body feeling like a warm heater. It had been so long since he had even touched her and it brought back so many memories. Gods he never should have taken all those drugs. Now he was having a hard time even staying conscious and it was the first time he'd seen her since the night he lost it. He felt her stomach against his side and suddenly a little foot kicked him. A groan slipped past his lips and he glanced down at her. "The baby...it doesn't like me." He tried to tease, a small chuckle coming from his throat.

Naveen looked at her, a confused look on his face at her words. "Them? They? There's..more than one?" He blinked in surprise and pushed himself up on his elbows, ignoring the way everything was spinning. It was getting harder for him to be upset about the fact that she was pregnant now that he had seen how happy she was. When she apologized, he shook his head and frowned. "None of this is your fault Nita, I'm the one who's sorry...I brought it all on myself. I thought I was mad at you but I was just trying to place the blame on someone else..." Naveen sucked in a sharp breath as he felt another episode coming and he gripped the sheets beneath him. His body erupted in chills once again and he threw his head back, gritting his teeth until his body suddenly went limp. Naveen was out for about ten minutes before he slowly came to again. He felt a body next to him and he looked over to see Nita. It took him a moment to remember what was happening and realized that he just had another episode. "Shit...sorry, I'm fighting...fighting off some side effects. Those blackouts are getting longer.."

Naveen groaned when she sent a warm light over him and he arched his back. The fogginess that had taken over him suddenly faded and a wave of energy went through him. He sighed as his body relaxed, his hands letting the shoots loose beneath him. The color returned to his skin and he wasn't freezing anymore. "Much better...thank you. Eric is going to kill me..." He pushed himself up into a seated position, enjoying that the world around him didn't go spinning. A wad of paper sitting on his end table caught his attention and he leaned over grabbing it. Ever since Eric made that pact with him, he'd make two lists, one for Eric to keep and the other for him to find when he was sober again. He stared at it for a few moments, his hand covering his mouth. Naveen barely had any memory of what he had been doing the past few weeks..most of it was a blur. "Shit...did I really take all of this?" Up in the corner of the paper, there was a little scribble of a number in the corner and he cursed. In the ink, there was an eleven written, telling him that the list belonged to the eleventh session he had taken in the past few weeks. "I really got out of control Nita...I almost overdosed trying to think of a way to save you..." He sighed and ran a hair through his hair.

Naveen flinched when she took the list from his grasp, not sure if he wanted her to see it. When she moved to get off the bed, his heart sank and he shifted over to help her stand. She was scared of him now wasn't she? "Nita..wait." At her words, he stopped and blinked. He pushed himself out of the bed onto his feet and grabbed her waist, pulling her to him and pressed his lips against hers. It had been so long since he had kissed her and he reluctantly pulled away. "Stop it...This is not your fault. I love you..so much that I would do anything for you so I'll stop. I'll stop trying to take you back. You're going to have children Nita..something you've always wanted, even if it's with him. You're happy, I can tell and I don't want to ruin that." Naveen sighed and took a step back from her. He'd give anything to have her back with him every day but now she was leading a new life. "I love you Nita...and I'm going to love these children, even though they aren't mine." He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers once more.

"It's okay..." Naveen wrapped his arms around her as she kissed him, his lips hungrily tasting her. He shifted their position so she had her back to the bed and gently laid her down, his body hovering over her. His hands shifted down her body, following her every curve before he suddenly pulled away. He realized that he was making a move on her and he cleared his throat. She was off limits now...Nero made that abundantly clear and he didn't want to cause her any trouble. "I'm sorry...I can't do that to you Nita, it's not fair." Naveen sighed and climbed off the bed. His gaze moved around the room, his instincts immediately returning to the need to drink or take some drugs. Nita had pushed away the side effects but he could still feel the addiction trying to claim him again.
