I already have someone of my own and tonight was just a huge mistake." He frowned and tossed his hair once again with his hand. "I know she is betrothed to another and I will not get in the way of that."

John nodded and relaxed just a fraction, "Very well then, thank you for being honest with me. The kingdom needs people who are honest now especially with how things are going, I'm not sure how the Prince will be towards my sister but I trust that you can keep an eye on her when I cannot?" He asked suddenly as he turned to look at Phoebus. "The truth is since the Claude assisted in making these matches, I have a feeling they will not be for our benefit." He said with a frown. |

Phoebus was surprised at the reaction he received from the prince. He had expected...something different maybe, but he was relieved. "Absolutely, I will make sure nothing will happen to her. I understand your concerns." When Odette told him about the arrangement, he knew Frollo had a plan for doing so, he just needed to find out what it was. If he could prove that Frollo was up to something, maybe he could stop him before it was too late.

John nodded, "That's good enough for me then, you should go I'll send someone else to guard Odette's chambers tonight." He said before he moved to leave. He paused in step and glanced back at Phoebus, "Will you tell Odette of this other woman? It might be best if she's aware after all." He added with a frown, he knew it would be hard for Odette to hear the news but it would probably be best. |

"Of course, thank you your highness." Phoebus bowed one last time before watching the prince walk away. When he turned back to him and mentioned telling Odette about Jasmine, his heart sank. "Yes sir, I'll tell her." As he turned to leave, Phoebus stole one more glance at the princess' door before heading back to his room.
