After a successful scouting mission, Rapunzel returned to the Inn. With a small yawn she did her rounds of the seating room and kitchen, turning off all the lanterns. Only one was left on, in case any weary travelers stumbled across the Inn. She then sleepily wandered upstairs and into the attic where her room was located; she prepared herself for bed.

It was a new day in the Golden Torch Inn, Rapunzel was up at the crack of dawn once more. After cleaning two more rooms, she picked up the laundry and made her way outside. Despite the chill of the dawn air, she'd always enjoyed washing sheets outside. It woke her up like nothing else and she loved seeing the sunrise without being cooped up inside the Inn. She left the sheets to dry in the cold morning air "Let's hope for no rain eh?" She murmured before heading back to the Inn and relighting the fire in the seating room. She flopped down on one of the armchairs and let out a yawn. Glancing at the clock, which read 7:15, she decided to take a small nap before starting on breakfast.

Elsa moved quickly through the woods, it was still early but she didn't want to chance bumping into another non-human when she didn't have Pitch watching over her. There were both good and bad creatures here yet she couldn't risk any of them seeing her, especially with the jingling bag of coins hidden under her cloak. She hoped Pitch hadn't gotten wind of her early escape, knowing how much he hated humans he couldn't risk him finding out about the last human friend she had left.
Elsa walked up to the Golden Torch Inn and knocked on the door slowly. She wrung her hands together nervously as she stared out at the surrounding forest from under her hooded cloak, she hated being out in the open like this for too long and hoped Rapunzel was awake at such an hour.

Rapunzel jolted awake with a start at the sound of knocking. It was rare that she had visitors at such an early hour, so the young woman was puzzled. As the sound of the knocking became more urgent, she stood up from the comfortable arm chair and gave a yawn before stumbling towards the door.
She flung the door open, letting in the cool morning air which awoke her senses. She recoiled in shock at the figure standing at the door. "El-Elsa? What are you doing here?" Standing to the side, she opened the door wider for the fellow Lady of the Court "Come in, you'll catch your death out there!"

When she saw Rapunzel at the door she sighed with relief, nodding slowly as she walked inside. 'Thank you,' she said with a grateful smile as she lifted the hood from her head. She was glad to be inside away from prying eyes, glad no one else seemed to be awake yet. 'I managed to get away for a while, so I thought I'd see how you were and bring you this..' she said as she reached under her cloak and pulled out a bag of coins that just about fit in her hands, 'I hope it helps, for a while at least.'

Rapunzel took the bag of coins and set it aside, grabbing friend's freezing hands. "Elsa, are you okay? Where's Jack? Are you both safe?" Her brow was furrowed and her bright green eyes searched Elsa's as she held the girl's hands tightly. She hadn't heard from the Hyde siblings since she had fled Corona and hadn't seen either in person since they were orphaned. She had often prayed for her friends' safety late into the night.

Elsa laughed softly, appreciative of her concern, 'don't worry both Jack and I are fine, we were taken in and live nearby in the forest actually,' she spoke with a smile. 'I heard about this place a few months ago,' she started as she remembered overhearing a few other non-human creatures speaking of an inn in the forest that took special care of their kind. When she finally decided to check it out she peered into a window and was shocked to see her old friend, sure she looked different and had changed her name but she could tell it was her from the look in her eyes, 'when I realised you were the one that owned the inn I knew I wanted to help you, especially if it meant this place could keep non-humans safe for a long time.'

Rapunzel sighed with relief when her friend told her that she and her brother were safe. Embarrassed, she dropped the young woman's hands and picked up the hefty bag of coins once more, a gentle smile gracing her face "Elsa, this is too much!" She gasped as she opened the pouch. There must be enough in here to keep a family of ten fed for a month she thought She looked up at the girl who despite being younger, was always taller than her "Thank you, seriously."

'It's the least I could do to help such a worthy cause,' she said, secretly hoping Pitch wouldn't notice there was anything missing. He had always told them that they could take what they wanted, they were the reason he'd been collecting such riches for so long after all, and a safe haven for her kind was the perfect way to spend it. 'You're welcome,' she said with a smile, 'please, feel free to use it as you wish.'

Rapunzel gestured to the seating area "You can sit down if you wish to stay a while, I was just about to get started on breakfast if you're hungry?" She said with a smile, secretly hoping the girl would stay. Though she learned to enjoy her own company from her childhood, being alone in the middle of the forest was quite lonely. She missed gossiping with Ladies in her social circle.

'Thank you,' she said as she walked towards the seating area, 'I'd love to stay for breakfast if you don't mind,' she hadn't eaten since the night before not wanting to wake anyone at home this morning, besides she wouldn't mind staying a bit longer with another friendly face. 'Do you need any help?' she asked as she reached one of the seats.

"I should be fine, you seem as though you need a rest. I'm not making an extravagant buffet, I'm afraid." She laughed softly, before giving her friend a small curtsey. "I'll leave the kitchen door open, come in if you need anything at all." She gave the younger girl one last broad smile before hurrying into the kitchen. Luckily the bread she baked the night before had not gone stale, and was still fresh. She glided over to the stove and cracked two eggs into a copper saucepan, humming as she worked.
